Cuba Knight came into my life with a wicked smirk, bedroom eyes and a chip on his shoulder.

I was warned to stay away from him. Hell, he warned me himself. So, I made it my mission to break his walls down and kill his demons.

Loving him had consequences. I just didn't know the extent until he stabbed me with the arrow I willingly gave him.

5 Bow & Arrow Stars.

Bow & Arrow is a new adult basketball romance. Bliss is a tutor with a love for teaching and a jaded view of athletes. Cuba is a college basketball star destined for big things, but recent struggles and losses in his life have sent him on a bad path that he’s still navigating his way back from. When Bliss is assigned to tutor Cuba the attraction is just about as hot as their tension toward one another.

A. Cramton does a great job really making you root for Bliss and Cuba, both separate and together. I liked that Cuba’s POV not only had him falling for Bliss, but working on himself. Sometimes those plots fall to the wayside, but I felt like the mains both still had their own story and growth for the reader to follow. I also enjoyed that this is a tame version of enemies to lovers. More like reluctant lovers. Their banter is fun and also deep at points. Did I also mention that Cuba and Bliss are FREAKING hot in the bedroom... or locker room... or wherever else these two get it on? Plus there are side characters that being humor to the story, and are just fun to follow along.

All in all Bow & Arrow is a great read. If you enjoy new adult sports romance, that has a deep side plot, then this book is for you!

Bow & Arrow was not my first read of A. Cramton's but I can say without a doubt that it's definitely my new favorite.

A. Cramton weaves a truly beautiful tale of two totally opposite people, falling in love, a tale that is compelling, deliciously sexy and filled with a bunch of amazing characters.

After losing his best friend, Cuba found himself lost in a sea of grief and receiving tutoring classes from a history lover. Bliss wasn't like the other girls around campus, she was smart and gave no shit who he was. The push and pull romance between these two was fun, flirty, and oh so sexy to read. Their banter and chemistry was everything! I was hooked from their first meeting.

I personally loved the way Cuba dealt with his baggage. Usually, the hero/heroine needs the help of her/his loved one in order to heal, but Cuba did it by himself. Truth, Bliss helped him a lot but he took the bull by the horns and confronted his fears, and I fucking loved him for that. He didn't just want to be better for Bliss, he wanted to do better for himself, and the family he almost lost.

The last drama was not my favorite, but I understand where it was coming from. I knew it was like a way to test their relationship and even though I didn't like how Bliss handled things, I got her. I think I would have done the same thing, so there's that.

The hints about India & Cam.... Gawd, I hope those were hints because I really want to know more about them. And Ryan, and Oliver, and... OMG, all of them.

You see, I have a problem with endings. Most of the time I felt like they are a little bit rushed... I felt that way with this one, but then the author delivered THAT epilogue and BAM!!! I screamed with joy and smiled so big my cheeks hurt. So the author definitely made up to me with that, LOL.

A. Cramton has outdone herself with this one, Cuba & Bliss captured my heart from the very beginning and I could simply not get enough of them! Can't wait to read more from this author.

4.5 STARS!!
...and don't get me started on her brain, nothing is sexier than a woman who knows her shit.
Gah! I REALLY liked this one; a very solid 4 star read, with a half star added for how much I enjoyed the author's warm writing tone and her wonderfully real characters!

The plot: When basketball star Cuba Knight walked into the room, his tutor, Bliss McQueen knew only one thing about him: good-looking wasn't a strong enough word. But then he had to ruin it all by opening his mouth. . .

So, on the surface, it appears that there's not a lot of originality to this college romance; hot-and-cocky boy meets take-no-bullshit girl. But woven around this classic trope, I found both a hero and a heroine that were well worth my time. Bliss’ strong sense of self came across as genuine and unique, and Cuba’s arrogance was softened by
I have no idea what to do here. I want to push her away, I want her close. She told me I'm giving her whiplash and there isn't a word for what she's giving me except blue balls.
Watching them reluctantly fall for each other was such a pleasure. The author very skillfully mixed their attraction...
He makes my heart do flips with a single look.
...their hesitance...
"I know you're new at this, but don't make me fall for you if you aren't able to catch me."
...and their vulnerabilities to create an emotionally charged relationship that was filled with heat and intelligence. I loved it! [In fact, this book contains a scene that goes on my top ten swoon-worthy moments of all time!!! <3 ]

Plus, the author had something to say - about grief, self-respect, and race - and she said it with subtlety and class. Really, while it wasn't perfect, Bow and Arrow is the reason that I love reading romance! I'll definitely be checking out more of this author's work.

[Hint, hint: I'm hoping that this will become a series. I'd love to read India and Cam's story!]

That was a light and quick read. Nothing bad but nothing special about it.

This is a college romance with a hero that is broken and a heroine who heals her with her love...

(Yeap, again, the therapist does a shitty job and the heroine is much better at helping him getting his life back on track. Well, at least he had a therapist, good or bad...)

It is predictable and has little angst. It has some cliché moments. For example, she sees him in a compromising position and she doesn't let him explain. She assumes the worst and breaks up with him. This kind of cliché problems that I am too fed up with kill the story for me.

The couple has their fun, sweet and hot moments.

Recommended more for teenagers and very young readers...

I instantly fell in love with the characters. This is not an ordinary sport love story. I absolutely love the way the Author brought to life the main characters. Cuba and Jackson are best friends since diapers. They lived next door from one another and both parents are also best friends. Both star basketball athletes with a bright future ahead of them. Until Jackson got sick and everyone's life is turned inside out. Cuba goes into a deep depression and starts falling off the edge. His parents is desperate to help. He finds himself in a library meeting a tutor sent by his parents. This is their story. Ugh!! Fabulous story telling.

Filled with emotion and still bringing a story that is both sexy and sweet Bow & Arrow is a wonderful college romance. Always a sucker for a good college athlete romance I’ve read a ton of them and this one certainly stands out with the truly heartfelt story between Cuba and Bliss. You’re definitely going to need some tissues for this one, but every tear is worth the beauty that this book brings. I think I equally cried and swooned while reading this!

At first glance I thought the same as Bliss when he came to Cuba. He’s a jerk. But knowing what I learned from the prologue I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Cuba’s story is a heartbreaking one that so many people can relate to. Beautifully written, you can truly feel his pain as he grieves. All of that begins to turn around when the sassy and sweet Bliss comes around though.

The light to his dark, Bliss doesn’t put up with his attitude at all. As the hot and cold back and forth grows into deeper feelings we begin to see a whole new side to Cuba when he’s around her. I loved their beautifully emotional and sweet story!

I was given an advanced readers copy of this book and have decided to leave a voluntary review. Bow & Arrow happens to be my favourite book by A cramton. This book really hit home for me. I loved how she made Cuba so deep. I know exactly how Cuba was feeling and what he was going through. It's not easy when you lose someone close to you. Things will never be the same, and may be angry at everything for while. But what you also need to remember is that person you loss, will still want you to keep living even if they are gone. They want the best for you. So you have to prove it to yourself and them that you can keep going and make them proud. You will also never forget them they always be with you in some way.

So I am sure I am going to be the odd man out so to speak when it comes to Bow & Arrow. I liked it, I didn’t love it but I also didn’t hate it either, for me it was one of those okay reads. Now it very well could be that I have been in the mood for darker reads at the moment and when I started Bow & Arrow I wasn’t in the right mood for this one. I am unable to really pinpoint what it was about Bow & Arrow that just didn’t work for me like I had hoped. The characters were likable and the story was one I usually would have really enjoyed. Maybe I will go back in the future and read this one again and if I like it more the second time around I will update my review and rating. As always what didn’t work for me may work for you, give Bow & Arrow a chance it has a storyline that most will like.

From the first chapter, I knew that a box of tissues would be needed. My heart was broken after reading the prologue. What a way to start a book off. Bravo!!! Every tear a shed was worth the beauty that this book brings to the readers.

I am always a sucker for college romance especially when the storyline is about your alpha sports hero and a smart, beautiful heroine. Bow & Arrow is up there with as one of the best I have read.
Cuba has just experienced a loss that shakes his world. A college basketball star that was destined for big things, but the loss of his friend sends Cuba down a dark hole. Fighting his way through the grief, he often comes across as a jerk.

Bliss is an intelligent student who has been assigned to tutor Cuba. Not shy from putting him in his place when he gives her attitude that isn’t deserved.

Through their hot and cold banter, Cuba is able to rebuild himself and together they allow their feelings to shine through the darkness.

I loved the emotion that we get from the first page to the last. I was able to connect to both characters for different reasons. Cuba offered me that connection through the loss of a loved one. My connection to Bliss was her self believe in herself.

I enjoyed the chemistry that the characters had together and although this is a enemies to lovers story, it is more on the tame side, which i believe enhanced the emotion and story line that A. Cramton has written.

This story was beautifully written sending us the message that while experiencing loss we must remember that we are still here and while that may seem difficult to accept we still must live our life to the fullest.

I'm an absolute sucker for this ladies words. If you haven't read her False Series...you need to stop what you're doing and get them now. They are EVERYTHING. And when I heard she was writing this book about a basketball player, I was dancing with excitement.

"Because of you I'm breathing again, Arrow."

This book follows the story of Bliss and Cuba. Bliss is extremely smart and seems to always get the short end of the stick in life. But that all changes when she has to tutor Cuba Knight. Cuba has had anything but an amazing life. The past several years have been extremely rough on him. Being in the darkness. But he's slowly coming out of it but it isn't until Bliss comes into his life...that he sees the light in her. Breaking through and touching him.

Bliss coming out of a bad relationship she wants nothing to do with Cuba but to teach him. But he does nothing but try to hit on her and creep under her skin. Bliss doesn't want to admit it but he's slowly becoming the best thing in her life and looks forward to their tutoring lessons.

"This time when my cupids arrow flies, it lands right where it was meant to be. Her heart."

These two are absolutely amazing and I devoured their story. I never wanted it to end. I smiled and cried along side these characters. I could feel their pain and their happiness seeping through the pages. And oh the feels this book with conjure up in you.

5 Arrow Shooting Star Read!
I’m blown away as I sit here at 1 in the morning trying to recover from reading this phenomenal book. I was completely hooked from the opening words, I did not want this book to end!
Bow & Arrow was captivating & emotional, but also witty & humorous. I loved everything about it, the story was well thought out and delivered wonderfully. The main characters Cuba & Bliss are people I wish I knew, they are every aspect of the Sun & Moon of a relationship. And ALL of the side characters - hello meet my new best friends. I loved all the emotion, hilarity, swoon worthy moments, drama, banter & ultimately the college sports sweet sweet romance. I won’t lie, banter & college romance are kind of my weakness but I promise I’m not being biased when I say this book was EVERYTHING!
Amiss the fun banter & joy this book brings, there’s a deeper side to loss & a real relatable emotion that I personally can relate to with losing two people very recently in my life. This book was everything I needed and more.
Miss Cramton has written beautiful books in the past that I enjoyed thoroughly but Bow & Arrow is seated right at the top of my favorite list & it’s going to be a little(lot) difficult to dethrone this bad boy.

Highly recommend!

A.Cramton you did it again babe! Phenomenal read.

It was a nice read, though there was nothing original.

I liked that the male character was black–though the black basketball player is a bit cliché. I liked that the female character was smart–though she’s also beautiful, of course… I liked how grief was treated in the story. I liked the side characters. I liked the final grand gesture–though also a bit cliché.

The editing though… Sometimes, it kept me out of the story. And I’m not a native speaker! Run on sentences, comas instead of periods, random words, grammar and spelling mistakes… A few is okay, I understand independant publishing. But when it’s too much, it’s too much.

If you don’t mind the bad editing job, there’s actually an okay story here.

Quickie

- Series: standalone
- Hashtags: #basketball romance #new adult romance #multicultural romance #opposites attract #instalove
- Triggers: death by cancer, attempted suicide, substance use and abuse, cheating (not from the main characters)
- Main couple: Bliss McQueen & Cuba Knight
- Hotness: 3/5
- Romance: 4/5
- + sexy black man, oh yeah!
– terrible editing job…

Cramton's new release, Bow & Arrow is New Adult Romance at its finest. Sports Romance, especially those involving basketball, always pull me in, personally that sport a very large part of my life. Sadly, there are not many Sports Romance works out there that involve my favorite sport. I have been waiting for a book like this for a long time.

Cuba and Bliss take you on a journey through first love riddled with pasts full of heartache and it is hard not to be completely pulled in within the first few pages. Crampton creates the perfect amount of real-life situations surrounding popular collegiate athletes and outlines the outside influences that can cause any college student to deviate from the path they've set for themselves. There is the perfect amount of heat, angst, and sweet. I absolutely fell in love with this book. A. Crampton will shoot you straight through the heart with this tale of overcoming adversity and accepting love.

I read the dedication, which nearly made me cry, and then I didn't start the book for a week. I'm glad I finally sucked it up and read it. I was worried this book would be all sad and sappy, which is not my thing, but it wasn't. It turned out to be a great read. This is almost an enemies to lovers kind of book.
Enemy might be a strong word, but Cuba Knight is definitely putting off some ~everyone leave me alone~ vibes. He has the huge chip, an I'm the king vibe, but now I just want to keep my head down and finish school.. he's still grieving and suffering the consequences of loss when he meets his new tutor. His tutor, Bliss, thinks he's an ass. A sexy ass, but an ass nonetheless. Maybe she can figure out why he is the way he is...
There are some super heart meltingly sweet moments! Some I can't believe that just happened moments. Definitely worth reading if you love a really good love story with a touch a what I imagine real life grieving is all about..

This book made me laugh and cry and get mad. Bliss is trying to finish up her college experience. She’s a junior and tutors other students who need help understanding their subjects. She’s a huge history fan and is going into teaching it when she’s done. Cuba is a senior that has gone through a lot to get back on track with his studies. Bliss is ask to tutor Cuba and at first she’s thought this guy is a jerk and it’s going to be a long few weeks but ask they got to know each other things change. Cuba has lost someone very close to him and it sent him on a downward spiral that he is trying to get bad to his normal life.

Ever have something to eat or drink and it’s too sweet? I have. This book reminds me of that. It reminds me of lemonade that was made with too much sugar. It was extremely well written and if I didn’t like my books with a little more tartness I would have enjoyed it more. But right from the beginning I was put off. I loved Bliss and her take no crap attitude. I loved her putting people in their place. It was a highlight of the book for me. I encourage everyone to read this book and to form their own opinion. This book just was not my cup of tea. - By Vanessa

I loved this book right from the start - smart mouthy college girl tutors super cute college jock. I liked that Bliss (Arrow) put Cuba (Bow) is his place right from their first meeting; she didn't put up with his crap, and he couldn't get enough of her. He pursued her, and she kept breaking down his walls - she got through to him and helped him live again - he was dealing with a tragedy that she finally helps him overcome.
WONDERFUL BOOK - wish there was a book 2, although I don't know what else we could read about - maybe India and Cam.... hint hint hint :)

We all want the brooding bad boy and Cuba is at the top of all the girls lists. He is recovering from a devastating loss and meets Bliss when he doesn't want to. He fights his growing feelings and is at times mean. But Cupid is not to be ignored. He shoots straight for the heart and both Bliss and Cuba have no where to hide.

Bliss helps Cuba to live again. She is his shining light and he will do whatever it takes to keep her.

A great intro to these characters and I hope all their friends get books.

Cuba is lost, his best friend and brother died and nothing has been the same since. Unable to heal, Cuba drown himself in alcohol and self pity. On the road to recovery he returns to school and seeks a tutor to help him catch up. Selecting someone who wont ask questions or knows him, Bliss seems to fit the bill. But she catches him off guard and might just be the salvation he needs to start living again but only if he can learn to let her. Set in the college scene, this tells the story of losing and finding your way back from loss. I liked how strong Bliss's character is and that she is able to reach Cuba' heart.

Bow and Arrow hit the bullseye!!!

Bliss and Cuba did not have a strait shot at love. Bliss and Cuba had some big issues to over come both as a couple and personally. I really felt for Cuba in this story. I couldn't even begin to grasp how he felt throughtout his story. Bliss seems to be just an average girl in the beginning but she is so much more. I loved this story and this couple.

Cuba and Bliss’s story was throughly enjoyable from the start. Cuba is an angry young man, trying to get his life back together while avoiding feeling anything for anyone. Bliss is tasked with helping him catch up so he can graduate college as planned. Even though Cuba runs hot and cold, he’s confused and finds himself caring again, thanks to Bliss. There were the typical ups and downs, especially for college students, but this was a quick, entertaining read.
