Paige
I was weak.
After everything I’d been through, I’d grown weaker, not stronger. But I would change that. This was the year I’d lose myself, even if this meant losing Caleb—my rock. He was too close to the enemy, too close to do what needed to be done.
Alex Connor needed to suffer. It was the only way to stop him.
So, whatever it took, I would make him suffer and I would make him pay.

Caleb
There was only one thing I’d ever really wanted in life. My freedom. A sense of hope in a world where disappointment didn’t come after. A life where Alex Connor didn’t have control. It’d been the least possible thing in my life until now. But the freedom I’d wanted at first was nothing like the air I wanted to breathe with her. The moment I’d met Paige, she’d become my center, the core of my existence.
Although, when everything was said and done, I would never get to have my freedom. I would never get to revel in hope. I would become off-center, and I would fade.

HOLY WOW! What a rush! What a read! What another wild ride by Author Casey Diam! The scintillating sequel to Trust, Hope is a heady, heartfelt, and heart-pounding high-octane romance that delivers thrills and chills. This romantic suspense thrust me to the emotional edge and I felt it penetrate everywhere! OMG!!! The nerves! The angst! The anger! The elation! Hope hits every feel. This book made me BREATHLESS where I actually held my breath at times as my heart pounded out of my chest.

Caleb was everything I’d never dreamed of.

Hope POSSESSED every part of me. I was so CONSUMED! I couldn’t and wouldn’t put Hope down as I locked myself away from my family to read this story like a fugitive in hiding. Trust me, Hope is THAT GOOD! This tale twisted around me where I was fully immersed and highly intoxicated. The intensity cuts like a knife, so piercing and penetrating, so enticing and exhilarating. I was UTTERLY ADDICTED!

She was no longer my axis. She’d become my fucking world.

Dark, gripping, heartrending, and terrifyingly smart, Hope grabs you from the first page—and will never let go. This vivid tale is perfectly plotted and flawlessly executed. This nail-biter of a bang-up book defines bravery with such admirable characters that seamlessly spring to life—so charismatic and complex. You’ll feel this hero and heroines’ story as if it were your own. You’ll get nervous for them, and happy and heartbroken for them as their journey becomes yours. You’ll fall in love with Caleb and Paige, both so bold, so broken, and so beautiful with chemistry so palpable and a connection so powerful. I fell in love with these characters even more and couldn’t get enough of them.

”We’re both damaged, and for that reason, we can’t fix each other.”

Hope is a thrilling, turbulent, and tender roller coaster of a romance that will thrust you the edge and have you screaming for more. I was on edge nearly the whole time—living this pulse-pounding and toe-curling tale—as Hope nearly gave me a heart attack while reading. Hope seduced my senses while wrapping me in a web of suspense full of thrilling twists and turns. I almost hate Casey Diam for that doozy of a cliffhanger and won’t be satisfied until the rest of this toe-curling tale and suspenseful saga plays out to the end. Hope is unstoppable and unputdownable, and I NEED MORE!

”When you hurt, I hurt, and it makes me wish I could take your pain away.”

“I don’t want you to take my pain, Paige. I want you to give me yours.”

💋💋💋💋💋 twisted, thrilling and tender kisses

A MUST-READ ROMANCE!

Hope by Casey Diam is the second book in the gripping new series Things That Matter. I can not get enough of these books with all the angst and suspense flowing from page to page. I fangirled so hard when I was given the chance to receive this advanced copy and I can't recommend these books enough because yes they are that good and no one should be missing out.

More revelations are coming to light for both Paige and Caleb. Their lives are more entwined then they could have guessed and both are dealing in different ways. After moving into the condo with Caleb and Calvin, everything starts slowing down for Paige and after five years starts learning how to find herself again and become more open with others. Sadly the same can't be said about Caleb. The more time passes the more he shrinks inside his head where only his thoughts and guilt live and no one else can reach. Caleb feels something huge is coming and once again wants the world on his shoulders to carry alone.

I love how Hope is more of Caleb's story and man was it a heartbreaking one. What we saw in Trust wasn't even close to the tip of the iceberg for everything that Caleb endured growing up and still going through in present time. On the outside he has perfected the rich playboy persona but on the inside is still the same little boy taken from his mother before even knowing her and forced to live with an abusive father with his sick ways and nonstop lies. But now the breaking point is fast approaching and Caleb is more than done being a pawn in a twisted game where he doesn't even know the goings on but is ready to end it all.

Only two books out and already I love Casey Diam's writing. Every word is detailed and thought provoking and just makes you want more. I love how she took an already fantastic storyline and expanded it into something jaw dropping. More characters are also introduced and in their own ways play big parts in the overall scheme of things. Especially Calvin, who I know is not just hanging around for the money but for the reason that he is loyal and caring. I am still taken aback about what went down in Hope and just guessing at what's to come is sweet torture but really satisfying to know more awesomeness is on the way.

Some books demand a long review, some don't. This one does however, I choose not to write one. Not because the book isn't good...Oh quite the contrary...this book is damn good! I choose not to because I feel that anything I write regarding this intriguing, exciting and emotional read would only tempt me to give away too much. And this book should be read with open eyes and an open mind. These characters should be viewed as though seeing them for the first time (although we've seen them in the first book). Changes are beginning to take place and you need to see this clearly and not through the eyes of someone else's review.

What I will give you is this. This is a read that will shake you to your core, will pull your emotions out and will twist them around before placing them back into your body. This story will grab you and refuse to release you until you slam face first into that cliffie!

Brilliant beginning to what promises to be an amazing career for Casey Diam.

descriptionHOPE is book two of the Things That Matter series, and unfortunately, I didn't love it as much as I did book one. One of the reasons I generally do not read trilogies is because often times book two inevitably ends up feeling like a filler book. And that is exactly how I felt about this one. It was super slow, and I didn't like the dynamic between the hero and heroine for the first 50% of the book. They spent the entire first half the book apart, and there was WAY too much angst caused by jealousy and other women and other men.

description

That said, the second half of the book was much better. This couple finally gets back on track. The pace picked up considerably. There was no more OW or OM drama. A few hot sex scenes, and last, we are again left hanging with another pretty big cliffhanger, and a whole bunch of unanswered questions.

So a bit of a mixed bag in regards to this book. I kind of feel that the author could have tightened the story up a lot and perhaps made this a duet instead of a trilogy. Nevertheless, I am still invested enough in this story that I will be keeping my eyes peeled for book three.description

OMG!!!! Casey Diam is killing me with these cliffhangers!
I FLOVED her writing. I loved the plot, the characters, the writing. This had an amazing flow to this. I can't fucking believe that this is only her SECOND book!! Damn! Can you believe that?
Caleb and Paige have a LOOOONGGGG way to go for sure ❤
And there are a few A HOLES i would personally love to get rid of.
Overall it was a definite 5 Stars from me!

In the second book in the 'Things That Matter' trilogy, Paige and Caleb's interconnected past is bringing them closer together but, at the same time, tearing them apart. Paige is just as strong as ever, even when she struggles with not only her past but Caleb's shifting feelings. Caleb, sigh, is still dreamy as ever with his sweet devotion to Paige's anxiety and safety. This story slowly builds to a stunning cliffhanger that surprised me, but also left me wanting more Caleb and Paige.

I received an ARC of this book for my honest review.

I jumped right into Hope after reading Trust, the first of this three part series (Things That Matter), desperate to find out what happened next.
And what did happen was gut-wrenching and left me gasping for breath. This second part of the series, is even more gripping than the first, and believe me when I say, I was enthralled by that one. This has more angst, more suspense and even a hint of dark, thriller to it as revelations are revealed showing just how terrible Caleb’s father is.
Paige is starting to settle into her new life with Caleb, and sharing his condo with his best friend Calvin, who is also her bodyguard. At least she knows about that now.
But, Paige’s determination to find out the truth pulls her is a dangerous direction and Caleb has to make a decision that hurts both of them. He’s wracked with guilt over the past deeds he’s seen and been forced to participate in, and he gets more than a little lost inside his head.
We got a lot more insight into Caleb with this book, showing the broken, tortured soul hiding in his perfect body. But, he knows being with Paige is getting to the point where she isn’t safe from his father and brother and no matter what he wants, he has to pay the price for both of them.
What will he do?
Can their undeniable love hold them together or will it all come down to one thing. Hope.
Lets hope we find out in the third part.

This is second book in series and I couldn’t put either book down. Caleb and Paige have a complicated history but love each other. The father who raised Caleb is responsible for changing Paige’s life forever. They are both trying to find answers but protect each other at the same time. Can they have love and still get what they want? What will be consequences of finding out about the past?

Woah – I am LOVING this series! I feel like I’m playing detective when I’m reading it trying to work out these mysteries!

I was on the edge of my seat reading this with bated breath throughout as this gripping story continues.
This second book is more intense, the angst and suspense in the story makes it only more compelling!

Although it is dual POV again I feel this time we get more from Caleb, find out more about him and the emotional heart-breaking past but also
Very much his present too.
I guarantee this story will have you completely hooked! Paige and Caleb’s chemistry is still there if not even more explosive and Caleb’s need to protect her only increases but
Paige is a confident woman who has no issue with standing up to whatever and whoever, she’s adamant to find out the answers she’s looking for and just like Caleb she wants
To protect him and is willing to put herself in danger for this man she loves, get justice for her family and for to be able to live without having to look over her shoulder!

Once again Casey leaves us with one hell of a cliff-hanger that made my heart stop!
This series is proving to be a top read of the year for me, it’s dangerous, sexy, nail-biting and addictive! I cannot wait for book 3 and look forward to more by Casey!!!

Wow, this series has me in a spin. From the beginning of Trust Casey has left us with more questions than answers and has sent us on an emotional roller coaster. For a relatively new author, Casey knows how to make her audience experience the emotions with her characters, and leave us hanging to know that they are going to be “ok” even though they have a journey which could so easily leave them being less than “ok”.

Hope continues Caleb and Paige’s journey where they finished in Trust. A journey which has been less than conventional for both of them having to overcome some intense obstacles to get to where they are today and the struggles they have to face every day to overcome the odds put in front of them is intense. Saying that they situations they face is intense seems to soft a word given the situations they face, I don’t to give anything away as this book and series has all kinds of twists, turns and roller coasters. Have a read for yourself and you will see what I mean.

And what an ending, how their journey continues is anyone's guess. This was a brilliant book by Casey and I look forwarding to reading about how Caleb and Paige’s story continues.

This series is a must read so thankful to Netgalley for giving me this book. This author is very new to me. The covers were what caught my eye. I haven't had a series captivate me in a while. I'm dying to dig in to Love now to find out what happens.
Paige is a girl on the run but with Caleb by her side she decided to stop running. This books is twisted by how everyone is connected, suspenseful, hot and steamy. It does end with a cliffhanger which I knew will happen since there is a book 3.
Side note I really like Calvin I'm hoping he gets a series or finds love.

WOW!

This book had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't believe the things that happen to Paige and Caleb. The first book had me hooked and this one sealed the deal. The emotions were like a rollercoaster. I laughed at the silly things and cried towards the end. I'm stunned at the events that ended the book. I need more!

Having read book one in this series, Trust, a while ago, I caught up with that before starting Hope. What a great couple of books! I just loved the twists and heart-stopping moments, the 'who on earth can Paige really trust' questions almost exploded my head. I am totally in love with this couple and Caleb's friends, specifically Calvin; wow! What a group of hot, protective, sexy men they are.

Paige is such a badass! She is super paranoid of everyone and has trained so hard that I have no doubt she can take down the meanest of the baddies. It really hurts my head trying to work out who did what to who and how can we kill that person. As for Caleb, he is my sweetheart. I love the way he loves Paige. They are both so good together and so hot.

I simply can't WAIT for book three to be released; I NEED ANSWERS!

This is such an intense series and so good!

I love Paige and she has so much to be afraid of yet she keeps searching for the truth behind everything, knowing that it may change everything. I love the introduction of her grandparents and their role in helping her and Caleb.

Caleb is so determined to bring down his dad and brother even though he knows there will be huge consequences for him as well. I loved his friendship with Calvin and how the two were always there for each other.

There were so many twists and turns and parts where I was just holding my breath wondering what was going to happen next. I couldn’t believe the things that Alex had done to Caleb and it truly showed the kind of man that Alex was.

The end was super tense and I was freaking out about what was going to happen next! I was shocked at what was happening at the end and now I am anxious to read the next book as I am freaking out for both Paige and Caleb as it doesn’t look good for either of them!

Hope by Casey Diam is book Two in the Things That Matter trilogy. This continues the story of Caleb and Paige, which means you really should read the previous book 'Trust'.
Caleb and Paige are still working on their trust but of course the past isn't so much in the past.
This book doesn't end their story and will continue into the third installment called 'Love'.
Their story is really exciting to read!

This is the second book in the series and I do recommend reading them in order. Caleb and Paige have great chemistry and their story draws you in from beginning to end. The chemistry is steamy and the twists and turns keep this a fast-paced roller coaster ride of a story. I really liked it.

Hope just keeps getting better. I have read the first book of this series and now cannot wait for the next book. while reading this book, I feared that the author would rush the story and I would be left thinking, "That's it?" But it happily blew me away. Hope also ends on a cliff hanger, so let the waiting begin. I cannot wait to read the conclusion to this wonderful series.

This is the second book in the series and they need to be read in order.
Paige Wells is not safe with Alex and Brad Connor trying to kidnap her to prevent her from spilling secrets from the past. Yet everywhere she turns there appears to be people working for Alex and she isn’t sure who to trust.
Caleb Sawyer’s father is Alex Connor and he will due whatever it takes to bring his father and brother to justice while protecting Paige. He knows how dangerous his father is but he also knows that his father can bring him down at any moment.
Can Paige and Caleb keep ahead of Alex and will they find out more secrets that were meant to be hidden?

Oh boy! Where to start?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! (Sorry, I needed to get that out.) Hope. Hope is a strong word. Hope is a powerful feeling. One small word has the ability to change lives, start wars, and end suffering. I'm this book, it does all three.

Hope. I'm still shaking my head, my fist, and my kindle. I'm so mad, angry, and upset. This story does not want to let the reader go. The entire time you read it you are part of Paige and Caleb's world. Even if you think you are walking away, it lurks in the back of your mind. This crazy and yet so real story is a 3D puzzle without a box and no way of knowing you have all the pieces. I'm also starting to think someone threw all the pieces in the washing machine because they don't all fit the way you think. It's inticing, luring, and intriguing. Almost...hopeful.

I am so excited for Love (book 3). I know we are only days away from release but I am twitching to get this book. I need to know if my puzzle is complete!!!!!!!!!
