A Theology of Tongues

Rate this book
The Bible is God’s revealed Word in propositional form. It is therefore the primary source of Christian theology. In that Christian theology must be rooted in Scripture, the task of theology then requires exegesis. The movement from exegesis to theology requires theological interpretation. This book is a biblical theological exposition of the NT data on speaking in tongues.

The aim of this volume is to expound a theology of tongues from a conservative biblical perspective. An existing emphasis on tongues speaking (glossolalia) has raised many questions among believers. We simply cannot leave these questions unanswered without contributing to the conversation. In this tome, we address contemporary views on tongues while interacting with scholarly discussion of the biblical texts through critical eyes.
