In 2004, CLAMP's 15th anniversary as a mangaka group, the members changed their names from Nanase Ohkawa, Mokona Apapa, Mick Nekoi, and Satsuki Igarashi to Ageha Ohkawa, Mokona, Tsubaki Nekoi and Satsuki Igarashi (her name is pronounced the same, but written with different characters) respectively. The August 2004 issue of Newtype USA, a magazine specializing in events of the anime and manga subcultures, reported that the members of CLAMP simply wanted to try out new names. In a later interview with Ohkawa, it was revealed that initially Mokona wanted to drop her surname because it sounded too immature for her liking, while Nekoi disliked people commenting that her name was the same as Mick Jagger's. Ohkawa and Igarashi, wanting to go with the flow of Nekoi's and Mokona's name changes, changed their names as well.
In 2006, they made their first USA public debut at Anime Expo in Anaheim, California. They were well received at the convention, with 6,000 fans in attendance at their panel.

Man, I love just how CLAMP slaps homosexuality here like it's normal (and it should be) and that there's nothing weird about it (yuh-huh, there's nothing) considering the date it was published and the previous generation as its audience. I'm just simply amazed.
But I really can't appreciate such an intimate relationship with a minor involved—in this volume Terada-sensei and the elementary kid Rika. I mean, that's worse than Sakura's mother's case (at least Nadeshiko is sixteen, and back in their time that's mature enough). And he's a teacher, for crying out loud! That made it much much worse.
However you look at it, it's disgusting. What is she, like 9? (4th grader, if my memory serves me right) that's fucked up. CLAMP is seriously taking that freedom and bravery too much that it's starting to ruin the series for me. Nevertheless, I love the characters and the story! Just that these few panels that illustrate this revolting topic are what's keeping me from rating this 5 out of 5. Hell, this could be perfect if not for that.
By the way, I forgot to express how much I love Touya's character. He may look like a bad boy, but his heart is pure!!

Sakura!!!!
I had a nostalgic outburst, saw this on a shop and bought it.
And I just learned there is a continuation to this 9 Volumes I already knew 😯🎉
Leaving out the part where a kid has a romantic relationship WITH A TEACHER! where He, the teacher, buys the kid an engagement ring (I remember being 11yo, loving Sakura's wold, and already finding that story extremely problematic); This manga is LOVELY!
(I think also Sakura's parents were at the beginning in a teacher/student dinamic? On many flashbacks, the mom wearing student uniform refers to her future husband as "profesor"...)
So many adorable characters, such an amazing queer atmosphere.
This is one of my absolute favourites from my childhood/adolescence.

En este segundo volumen, Sakura conoce a su primer rival, Li Shaoran, quién también desea capturar a las cartas Clow (y quién, curiosamente también gusta de Yukito, así que también es su “rival en el amor”). De cualquier manera, Sakura se va haciendo de más cartas: la Espada, el Rayo, la Sombra, el Espejo y finalmente el Escudo.
Conforme ella posee más cartas, su poder mágico incrementa. En consecuencia, algunas de ellas saben que Sakura las busca y, caóticas al igual que Clow, involucran a sus personas cercanas. Desafortunadamente, a algunas se les pasa la mano y terminan lastimando a otros (tal es el caso de Touya, cuando cae de un peñasco porque el Espejo le jugaba una travesura al imitar la imagen de su hermana).
Así que Sakura deberá volverse más fuerte física y mentalmente para capturarlas. Claro que Kero, el guardián de las cartas Clow, continúa ayudándole, pero va a llegar el momento en que necesite más que sólo su consejo.
Por otro lado, en este volumen vemos un poco más lo diferente que son las relaciones entre todos, sin importar su género o edad, siendo algo constante en el trabajo de las CLAMP. Ellas son creadoras que siempre han dejado bien claro que cuando dos almas se pertenecen, no hay manera de separarlas, pues su destino es permanecer unidas.
Cambiando de tema drásticamente, los trajes de Sakura son preciosos y amo muchísimo cómo se cambia de ropa cada que debe capturar una carta. Además de que su círculo de amigos es algo digno de admirarse.
Esta historia es de esas pocas que me llenan el corazón de júbilo y que no cambiaría por nada en el mundo. Sakurita es de mis personajes favoritos de toda la vida (literal, yo veía la serie cuando ella y yo teníamos la misma edad), al igual que mi eterno crush con Shaoran.
¡A por el tercer volumen!

4.5 stars. This is a darling series. I feel enchanted by the development and art. The magic is interesting and fun, while the cast of characters keeps growing.

Un tome dans la continuité du premier, Sakura continue de rassembler les cartes et sa magie grandit. Le seul élément majeur de ce tome est l'arrivée de Shaolan qui ne va pas faciliter les choses pour notre chasseuse de cartes! D'autant plus qu'il n'est pas insensible à Yuki, ce qui en fait un rival de taille!

La parte de la amiga de Sakura enamorada de su profesor no recordaba que fuera tan así en la serie animada y recuerdo que a mis 9 años, cuando la veía ya no estaba de acuerdo con eso ( y estoy casi segura de que no pasaba lo que pasó acá) así que ahora, al leer esa parte, la verdad tuve que hacer mucho esfuerzo para no tirar este libro al grito de PEDOFILIA ALERT! Y por suerte no fueron más de un par de páginas sobre eso, pero de todas formas me pareció un horror e hizo que bajara mucho la calificación de este tomo lo que es una pena porque en este llega Shaoran a la escuela de Sakura y él era de mis personajes preferidos así que de no haber sido por esa parte que mencioné anteriormente seguro le hubiera dado un puntaje bastante alto y no las 2 estrellitas que le di.

So the overall story continues to be really cute and fun, BUT it's really taking the awful revelation of age-gap relationships from the first volume and just making it worse.
It's another teacher/student relationship, but this time the student is literally only a 4th year. WHY? WHY IS THIS A THING? A WHOLE ASS MAN GAVE A CHILD AN ENGAGEMENT RING

Trop soulée de la banalisation de relations entre des adultes et des ENFANTS en fait, je me souvenais pas du tout et j'étais trop contente de relire pcq le concept du manga est cool mimi etc j'aimais bien enfant mais les relations age gap bien trop important avec des enfants en primaire je peux pas c'est horrible on avait pas besoin de ça y a littéralement pas à faire ça

Cardcaptor Sakura, volumen 2 de la serie de CLAMP. Seguimos con las aventuras de nuestra protagonista y cazadora de cartas Sakura Kinomoto. Cada vez tiene más cartas de Clow, por lo que su poder no deja de aumentar cada día. Con la ayuda de su compañero Keroberos y Tomoyo, tendrán muchas aventuras y peligros por delante. Aunque con el aumento de poder de Sakura, las cartas que siguen sin aparecer saben de su existencia, por lo que no se lo pondrán fácil a la hora de capturarlas. La trama como siempre es muy dulce y amena. Nunca me canso de esta historia y sus personajes, son muy tiernos y especiales desde el primer capítulo. La evolución de cada uno es abismal y me siento muy orgullosa de la trayectoria que están teniendo y todo lo que están consiguiendo por el camino.

Still super charming.
Sakura continues to collect these cards but a new character is introduced named Syaoran Li. They are very jealous of Sakura's having the ability to capture cards. Wants to prove he's a much better warrior. I really enjoyed that, the overall "Anyone, no matter the gender, can love another" makes the series wholesome and cute.
I will say not a fan of the student who likes the teacher, which isn't all that weird. But the fact the teacher gives her a promise ring once she gets older? That's creepy.
Outside of that though this series is pretty adorable with some really great character designs, fights, and good comedy spread out. I like sitting back and enjoying this on the weekend.

Le premier tome avait été une jolie découverte de l’univers de Sakura et des Clow Cards et j’étais donc impatiente de me lancer dans cette suite.
L’histoire reprend exactement là où elle s’était arrêtée et la petite Sakura va repartir dans sa recherche des Clow Cards sauf que cette fois elle ne sera pas aidée puisque l’on va faire connaissance avec son rival. Shaolan Li arrive en cours d’année scolaire dans la classe de Sakura et va tout de suite essayer de s’imposer en voulant récupérer toutes les cartes.
J’ai trouvé qu’il y avait un peu plus d’action dans ce tome 2 et c’est tant mieux puisque la lecture n’en était que plus fluide !
Une lecture bien agréable ! Le tome 3 étant dans ma PAL, je pense poursuivre l’histoire très bientôt ! ♥

Je suis curieuse de connaître davantage les cartes et les défis qui attendent Sakura. Hâte de percer les secrets du livre et la magie qui s'infiltre dans le monde décrit par Clamp.
Je revis ma jeunesse à travers le prisme de ce manga. Avec l'arrivée énigmatique d'un rival sur plusieurs plans. Je me laisse emporter par ce tourbillon d'onde positive.

Pues un buen tomo de Sakura que queda empañado por la relación turbia entre Rika y el profesor. Una pena.
Aparece Syaoran y, a pesar de que me encanta, no me hubiera importado otro tomo de las aventuras de Tomoyo y Sakura.

Me duele mucho bajarle estrellas porque en cuanto los "capitulos" esta todo genial y me encanta; sakura mejora con cada carta encontrada. Ademas la competencia entre Sakura y Shaoran por Yukito me da vida ❤️

Pero la relación entre rika y el profesor me perturba demasiado, en el anime te lo muestran mas como un amor platónico por parte de Rika pero en el manga es correspondido.... Posta me sacó de onda.

Funny goofy kids, what can I say lol
Mostly its just Sakura still collecting Clow Cards, except now she has a rival after both them and her crush, Yuki lol
Tomoyo also seems to crush on Sakura and her brother also seems to like Yuki as more than a friend. So many love squares! Lol
The most disturbing part though was the scene where we find out a teacher has an elementary school girl engaged to him.....just seemed wrong 😅

December 31, 2020These are really enjoyable, but man are there some wonky bits. It's one of those series where you go, okay, it says they're 12 but I'm pretty sure they are far more competent than that but then again, I know nothing about kids.
Wish there were some color pages in these "collector's edition" ones, that would have been a nice touch.

Aparece Shaoran Li, y empieza su rivalidad con Sakura, sobretodo por Yukito.
También aparece la mamá de Tomoyo.
Lo que si es terrible, es lo de Rika y el profesor Terada, terrible que la historia tenga algo que es un crimen, tratando de ponerlo como algo romántico. Muy mal
