This is the first book I have read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is an exciting story full of great characters, suspense, action, magic, dragons, witches, magical battles and hot, sexy times. The plot is intriguing and the storyline is well-written and flows nicely. This book is a multifaceted read; it centers on one couple – Blaze and Zane – but also introduces the characters in the upcoming books and a continued storyline throughout the series. The characters are easily likable and the dialogue is full of wit, banter, and laughs. There is non-stop excitement and suspense throughout the entire read and it keeps you guessing and invested in the story. I am looking forward to the next story in the series. *I received a free copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily providing my honest review. The thoughts and opinions in this review are strictly my own.

When the last of the Dragon Guardians died, the wild dragon Thorne Greystone decided to take up the mantle of protector for the humans. He has been watching as the magical field containing the evil dragon lord Vyrkos under Portland has been weakening. Thorne is desperate to find the missing three seals and convinces his brothers Zane and Tyr to steal the Dragonfly of Morocco from a local rouge witch based on rumors. Meanwhile Blaze McKenna frustratingly completes another tarot card reading which clearly shows she will soon have a final confrontation with her former coven mate and friend, Silas, regarding the powerful artifact she stole. The evil idol tempts those around it onto dark paths. Inside Blaze’s vault, Zane finds another thief who immediately triggers a booby trap. He pockets the item which falls from a box as he races to escape, only to be outed by a cat and discover Blaze is the woman he has been dreaming about for a century before falling out her window. Tracking dust leads Blaze to Rebel Smith rather than the mysterious man she saw fleeing her home. Turns out Rebel was trying to help an ex-boyfriend and has been ordered to make another attempt to steal the idol by a third party (Silas). Rebel wants to abandon this job but needs to protect herself and her sister Tempest.
Zane never believed in the prophecies which speak of the three mates of destiny (the Rogue, the Rebel, and the Storm), but now that he has found Blaze he and his dragon will do anything to keep her. To repair the damage from their first meeting, Zane explains their current efforts to stop an apocalypse, returns her stolen property, and offers to help protect Blaze from her former coven. Blaze doesn’t think this is fair unless she can assist them in finding the real Dragonfly Seal but an attack and the realization that the idol was part of Vyrkos hoard forces her to accept a temporary alliance. In the interim, the evil sorcerer Corwyn who is entombed in the idol exerts influence over the Greystone brothers. Thorne flies off to capture Rebel to force her to help with his plans and they are unable to convince her or her sister to forgive the encounter despite the real threat of volcanic eruptions and draconic destruction. Tyr manages to remove the darkness and reveals the location of the first seal. Zane and Blaze must open up about their failures to reconcile their fractured relationship. Rebel calls for help when she assumes a call from Jack, her ex, is some form of trap. The six of them decide to try a ritual to sever the connections between Jack, Silas, Corwyn, and Vyrkos. Blaze realizes the final component missing from the transfer of the protection seal is sacrifice and using her life force to stop Silas becomes her goal. Zane determines her plan during the chaos of the ritual gone wrong and is desperate to protect his mate.

This book defied my expectations. The novel is not a simple hunt down the magical McGuffin narrative or filler around erotica. It has a rather detailed plot with connected events, foreshadowing, and a focus on character emotions. There is a bit of action, mythology, and intrigue. It’s a rather easy, quick read. Some of the exposition is repetitive or heavy handed, as expected in first in the series fantasy books. While you can predict the big reveals to come the details of the journey are worth knowing and I was invested in the fate of our players and this world. Admittedly despite the mystical time warp interference and dream sequences the timeline allows for little more than insta-love between our featured couple. However, the shared bond over their traumatic histories, humorous banter, and physical chemistry help sell the idea that given time—outside a crisis—they would have connected anyway. It’s not a perfect beginning, middle, or end but by conclusion we have formed one official mate bond (HEA) and replaced one seal as expected. I’m a little worried about how Rebel, who comes off unlikable and selfish in this entry, will be redeemed moving forward. Still I can recommend this one.

Blaze is a witch on the run from her coven and when she feels them closing in, she has to decide if Zane is an enemy or an ally. Zane believes Blaze has something he and his brother’s need but she refuses to meet with them. Unfortunately taking what they need, might just ruin his chances with the woman of his dreams.

I’ve read a few of Anastasia Wild’s books and while I usually seem to favour the first book/series of any author I read, I have to say that this is my favourite so far. I’ll admit I did find the book a little difficult to get into at the start, as the story was a little repetitive in places with information being regurgitated or rephrased just a few pages later. But I ignored that and soon found myself lost in the story. This is the first book that left me wanting to devour the rest of the series. I honestly can’t wait for the next book in the series to be released.

So what’s to love? Well the characters for one. You get a really good sense of who they are, what they think and feel, etc. I cared what happened to them and was surprised to find that the author didn’t take the most obvious routes, meaning that I was pleasantly surprised as the plot unveiled. The personal story of Blaze and Zane is completed by the end but there’s more to come as the wild dragons and their mates continue to try to stop the Draken from awakening. As this story came to a close I really only had a few questions and I’m rather hopeful they might be addressed as the story continues. I’d love to know if the life expectancy of human mates is extended by their dragon mates and whether or not the dragons with shifter blood can willingly take a third form, for example: dragon, wolf and human. But honestly these are minor questions in the scheme of things and won’t stop me from continuing with and enjoying this series.

Powerful witch Blaze McKenna’s last tarot reading fed her deepest fears and apprehension, time was running out. The coven she deserted a decade ago is coming for her, more accurately for the artifact she took. All Blaze can do is put more protective charms around herself and the evil emanating from the thing that had stolen so much from her.

Guardian dragon shifter Zane Greystone and his brothers, Tyr and Thorne are desperately trying to locate the three seals that will entomb draken lord, Vykros, forever. They’ve tracked the first one to Blaze who’s refused their business overtures to buy it leaving the brothers no choice but to gain it by stealth.

Peeking through a window, Zane and Tyr are puzzled then angry to see Blaze perform a dark ritual with the very piece they’re after. Zane’s mesmerized by flesh and blood, Blaze, she’s literally the woman he’s dreamed of over a century. Unknown to the brothers they’re not alone intent on stealing the artifact or watching Blaze.

Doing a favor to get a friend out of trouble, elite thief, Rebel Smith agrees to get the magical artifact and desperately wants to hurt Blaze to get a bit of revenge since it was rogue witches that killed her parents, leaving Rebel destitute, with no home or relatives, caring for younger sister, Tempest, misdiagnosed with neurological issues.

The Greystones learn they’re on the same side as Blaze while Rebel finds out how invested the dark witch contingent is in getting the artifact and what they plan to do with it. Tyr Greystone notes it will take the Greystone brothers, the Smith sisters and Blaze to defeat the witches and keep Vykros in place, a note met with derision and disbelief.

This is a trilogy with all three couples introduced and discussed here though the focus is on obtaining help from the rogue. In itself, the read is a complete outing. While the ending isn’t a cliffhanger, there is a hanging thread.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Dragon’s Rogue is the premier installment in a new paranormal romance trilogy by Anastasia Wilde. The series centres on the brothers Greystone, three dragon shifters tasked with protecting Portland from the nefarious dragon Lord Vykros. Deep in involuntary slumber, Vykros poses a deadly threat to shifters and humans alike should he awake. The guardians’ management of Vykros is tenuous, however, and the dragon lord begins to stir. As the Greystones diligently monitor their charge, rogue witch turned art dealer Blaze McKenna emerges from seclusion with a potential key to everyone’s safety. Blaze’s former coven has a mystical and dangerous connection with Vykros. To prevent certain disaster, Blaze forges a partnership with Zane Greystone to uncover the key to lasting protection.

I enjoyed Dragon’s Rogue. It was a quick and entertaining read. There’s nothing like starting a new series, especially when the potential is real. The storyline is imaginative and the characters are well-developed. The action-packed plotline is a nice complement to the unfolding romance between Blaze and Zane. Their relationship develops quickly, however, Wilde uses a clever plotline device to create a fated romance with an unexpected foundation. The romantic scenes are well-crafted and deliciously detailed, so if that’s not your thing, you’ve been warned.

In Dragon’s Rogue, Wilde clearly sets the stage for the rest of the trilogy. While threats have been temporarily diffused, further dragon danger, drama, and romance await.

A good different plotline and a very full on and busy story with a different dragon twist.
Blaze is fighting to keep and evil artefact away form her coven which has been corrupted by this ancient evil artefact.
Zane is a half dragon half bear shifter. He and his two friends/brothers are trying to stop an evil dragon from awakening.
How these two meet and everything that follows on was a very enjoyable action packed read.
Everything is happening over a short period of time and I would have just liked a bit more romance between Blaze and Zane. It was a bit too insta-lust we are mates, which is fine but I felt it was lacking in romance.
The plot was different and interesting and will get me reading the next book as I want to know about the others and how they will fight this evil. Also how the author will make Rebel more likeable.
I liked this group of characters except Rebel, she came across as self-serving, greedy and uncaring of others. Using her sister as an excuse when in reality it was all about her.
Whilst I really enjoyed this story every now and then I thought, oh come on, really. Can’t say more without giving away spoilers but I could see something happening a mile away.
I was given a pre-copy of this book by the author but read it through KU.
This is my honest review of this book.

This book is 359 pages full of awesomeness. There is NO bonus content or stuffed pages. This book is 100% full of excitement that keeps you turning the pages for more.
Zane and his "brothers" are dragon-hybrids. The pure dragons were killed when an evil Dragon Lord tried to escape his tomb years ago. Now it is up to them to save the world as another Dragon Lord tries to rise. There are three seals that need to be found in order to stop the death of millions of people. They have searched for many years but all the leads are dead ends. They have a lead now to an antique dealer who may have the dragonfly seal.
Blaze collects ancient artifacts. She also ran away from her coven when she was sixteen because an evil idol started to take over members. She took the idol with her to try to save them. Ten years later she can feel that they are searching for her and that they are close.
Should they help each other or just work on their own problems? There is also a prophecy that was foretold about Dragon Guardians, but they aren't sure if pertains to them because they aren't full Drakens. Can't wait for the next book to find out more!

I received an ARC and I voluntarily leave my honest review.
As the first book in a new series I was impressed with all the world building this author fit in and the amount of depth to all of the characters. We got a lot of back history on Blaze and then the Dragons and Guardians etc to give a nice complete picture.
What I did find different was that we now know straight up who the other 2 mates are to the remaining Wild dragons, Tyr and Thorne and that they are the remaining links to stoping the unleashing of all the evil. Ok that's cool so no surprises for the remaining 2 books in that regard but I'm sure the journey to their own HEA will be unique.
Zane and Blaze had great chemistry with some steamy scenes and were really great together.
I really loved how descriptive this author is and the relationship the Dragon's have with their treasures, how the gold moulds to them as they rest in etc and the song it hums, made it seem so much more connected to the Dragons, not just shiny things they collected.
Lots happening in this book and while I wouldn't call it a cliff hanger, the plot certainly continues through to the next books.
Overall a great start to the series and I look forward to the next one.

Wow

I love dragons and love stories. This story is crazy and unique. The characters are so different from each other, that's why they work well together. They all have such tragic back stories but it helped make them into the people they are now. 3 sexy dragon shifters have to save the world from a psychotic evil dragon lord hell bent on destroying the world. 3 have to find 3 seals in order to keep him entombed. A lot of dragons have lost their lives entombing the dragon lord, they can't let him escape. They know who women are apart of the prophecy, they just need to figure out how to activate them and help strengthen hold on lord V. Blaze has a dark artifact that can release the sleeping dragon. She spent years running and hiding to make sure her old coven doesn't get ghe artifact back. Blaze and Zane make a great couple, they work well together. These 6 will sacrifice almost anything to save the world. Thorne and Rebel's is next, I can't wait to read it, as well as Tyr and Tempest's story. I'm hoping the other books are as good as this one. Definitely a great series so far.

A wonderful read!!
Dragon’s Rogue tells Zane & Blaze’s story. Zane comes across Blaze when he & Tyr are breaking into her house to steal an idol which they hope is one of the three dragonfly seals they’ve been looking for. These seals are needed to keep the containment around Vyrkos a powerful full blood dragon intact.
There is so much going on in this book but not to the point where you feel overwhelmed with information, the story flows nicely & is all relevant. You quickly get drawn in with lots of action, drama, romance, humour, dragon hybrids, full blood dragons, magic etc. Zane & Blaze have had such tragic pasts I at times wondered how they could make it work. It was wonderful to see them get their HEA but not before having to overcome many obstacles.
I really enjoyed all the characters, they were wonderfully written. I look forward to reading Tyr & Thorne’s books; both are wonderful characters who made me laugh out loud & their potential mates are not going to give them such a hard time……….I can’t wait!!
I received an ARC copy Dragon’s Rogue, this is my honest review.

Just hit 17%. Did our heroes just lampshade a trope? Why, yes... Yes they did. Really starting to love this writer's style!

*****************

Finished in one go.

Dragons, gold, evil entombed by magic, legends and a prophecy. It's all here, lovingly presented and gently nudged in the ribs.

From a sturdy adventure tale beginning, the story takes on the usual tropes with a hint of wit and irreverence that I found refreshing.

Blaze is a witch on the run with her coven's stolen relic. Zane is on the hunt for a relic to keep an evil Dragon locked away from the unsuspecting city of Portland. Overall, it adds up to an entertaining tale with sexy dragons and lots of treasure. Only real issue I had was a nagging feeling that we're getting a trilogy although the author could have made it an epic standalone and explored all Three of our Dragon heroes and their ladyloves in one glorious go.

Three and a half 'cause trilogy and waiting, *grumble grumble*. Hoping there's some major surprises in the works for the next two.

This read was as wild as the dragons in it!

I won't get into specifics about this book because I don't want to spoil it. However, I will say that this book is set in the same world as Anastasia Wilde's other series, it contains none of those characters and is set in a different city. I was a little disappointed by this at first only because I adore her other series. However, from the very first, these characters (both the dragons and their ladies) grabbed a hold of my imagination and wouldn't let go. Ms. Wilde has done an excellent job of expanding the lore of her existing world with a new adventure that proves once again that love really does conquer all, even stubborn dragons. What I love best about this story is how two wounded beings are able to heal each other and find the strength to sacrifice for each other. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after receiving a free review copy of Dragon's Rogue.

I like the premise of the story. Very different from your typical paranormal romance. It's set up for there to be 3 different love stories between 3 couples. This book covers one of them.

I was more interested in the plot about the coven Blaze escaped from because I want to see what happens with Silas. The whole Lord Vyrkos thing is less interesting to me because it's just a looming threat that is inactive now but is game over if they fail. Mass slaughter and destruction are not the story types that I tend to like.

I struggle a lot with the prose or writing style. I don't know what it is about it, but I find myself having to constantly reread passages because the words didn't register with me. Perhaps it's because it's 3rd person with multiple POV, and also pretty dense with action. Just doesn't flow easily, and leaves me not feeling a very personal connection with the characters.

This is a new angle for this world, I think it’s one of the first times all characters find their mate in the same book, though she is still focusing on one couple at a time completing their bond. I enjoyed Zane and Blaze, Tempest and Tyr seem sweet (so of course they’re last haha), but I don’t care for Rebel. We’ll see if my opinion changes in the next book but she’s definitely not one of my favorite characters so far.

There are three seals to re-seal the cage trapping an evil dragon lord that are said to be held by the mates of the three guardian dragons - the Rogue, the Rebel, and the Storm. This first book focuses on Blaze, the Rogue. She is a witch who stile an evil idol away from her coven hoping to save them from its influence. However, they finally found her and hire Rebel to steal it back. This occurs at the same time as the dragons trying to find the seal for the cage and chaos ensues. Blaze has to overcome her past while dealing with new feelings for Zane.

In a word... WOW! This was an epic explosion of excitement and captivating action and suspense.

This first book in a new series for Anastasia Wilde is superb, the tension, excitement and romance were compelling and my only complaint is that I have to wait for the next instalment... I need it now!!

This story of a witch / sorceress, dragons and the search for missing seals to safeguard the confinement of a dangerous dragon lord is definitely a story that I highly recommend. You don’t need to have read any of Anastasia Wilde’s other books (although if you read this and enjoy it - which I seriously believe you will... you can go read some of her other books whilst you wait for book 2) to enjoy this new series, but I recommend you do!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

This one is a bit different from the usual greet and one of them know the other is their mate . We meet Blaze as she is trying to stay ahead of her coven and at the same time protect mankind by trying to keep a dark idol away from the coven and all who want to use it for evil . We meet Zane as he and his brother , Tyr , are waiting to break into Blaze's place to look for one of the three seals they need . After her idol was stolen Blaze decides to go to a party to try and find the one who took it . I just loved the way she trapped both of them !! And the way that Zane finally figured out she was his ?? Awesome ! Tyr is just priceless at this point ! " Would you like me to take off my pants , just to make sure ?" Loving Tyr ! Anastasia Wilde has done an awesome job on this story !! This is so well written and strongly recommended to everyone !!

The story line keeps you wanting to read to see what happens. Three dragons and three seals. Three dragons left to watch over the evil dragon Lord Vyrkos, but he is waking up and they need the three missing seals. This 1st book is about Zane who is a dragon, bear and human who finds Blaze. Blaze holds the dragonfly seal and the idol. Blaze is a witch that left her coven because of the idol that was turning everyone evil. She toke it with her and knew one day that Silas would find her and try to take it back. Can Zane find the seal? Will Blaze let him search her dragonfly collection for the seal? Will Blaze be able to keep the idol hidden from the evil ones? Will Zane and Blaze realize that they are mates? Will they be able to stop Lord Vyrkos from waking and destroying? I received and arc copy for my honest review.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Dragon's Rogue by Anastasia Wilde is Book One in the Wild Dragons series. What a fantastic ride! From the moment I picked up this book and began reading, I was in a thrall! (Must be a dragon thing! LOL) I could not put this down. I really enjoyed that you meet all the characters and get their connections to each other very early on in the story. This fast paced, action packed intro has everything it needs to make it (about) four hours of love, betrayal, magic, snark, danger, steamy sex, dragons, witches, thieves, sorcerers and did I mention... dragons! As this is the beginning of a new series there is a little cliffhanger teaser for the next book. If you're looking for something fun and entertaining to read and you enjoy Cassandra Clare, here's your next read...

I love me so wild Dragons

Zane and Blaze have had a lot of family loss in their past. Both feel responsible for letting down their families. They have lived a lonely and isolated life. Zane has dreamed of a woman for over a hundred years. Knowing every curve, birthmark and sensitive place behind her ear. Loving her in possibility everyway with out not really touching or knowing her. With the first glimpse of her he knew she was the woman from his dream and his mate. Blaze has been on the run from her coven for over ten years. Always alone trying to hide the icon from her coven hoping her father and friends would be freed from the evil that lived in the icon. It felt nice not to be alone and to feel safe in Zane arms. If they can solve the two missions that they didn't know are tied together. They wouldn't have to be alone anymore. I can't wait to start the next book

Zane met his Destined Mate when he was looking for the first of 3 Dragon Seals so an ancient evil, Vyrkos, can stay locked up. But because of another thief getting in the way he instead of stealing the Seal he wound up with an evil icon that Blaze was keeping out of the wrong hands She not only needs to keep the idol away from her old coven, but as the answer to 1/3 of a prophecy needed to keep Vyrkos contained she helps Zane and his brothers in the quest to locate the seals, all while healing eachothers old hurts and letting love in. Though there was an happy ending for Zane and Blaze, there are still 2 brothers and 2 Seals and the bad guy is still able to cause trouble for the next book in the series.
I have read and reviewed this as a voluntary ARC.

This was a wonderful start to a new series! It has humor, with lines that made me crack up! There was mystery and suspense, that made me wonder what the author had in store next! There was lots of magic and supernaturals! There was steamy romance, not over explicit or descriptive. The author does such an amazing job of drawing you into the story that you forget anything as mundane as real life and having to eat still exists! There were just a few places that the author described things that I really didn't care about, but the story was so intriguing that it didn't really bother me. The major story arc continues on, but the hero and heroine are committed to each other and the next book features another brother and his mate to be

Very Exciting Story

Blaze a witch who left her coven with an evil idol years ago hoping to save them but knows now it didn't work and they are coming for her. Zane is a wild dragon trying to protect the world from a sleeping dragon lord who will wake if him and his brothers can't find the seals and their mates who protect the seals in time to keep him asleep. Blaze has the Idol and is the bearer of the seal he is looking for and is also his mate. But can he convince this feisty witch? As they find love, fight battles, work at convincing the other two seal holders to work with the three dragons for this very important job you will see a real team develop to work on the good side. I'm on to the next book in this series.

So magical from both perspectives

I adored the way the magic combined of all in this story.
The mixture of dragons, witches, good versus evil, mates and mates to be all came together.
It held my interest to point where I was itching to get back to it each time I had to put it down, I am sure you will too if you give it a go.
This author has warranted a 5 star review from me for the way her imagination in writing flowed so well it came together in as pictures in my mind so easily and I will be looking for the next book in this series with anticipation.

I was given this as an ARC and willingly give my unbiased opinion, you must read this :D

Wild Dragons

This series opener is not a continuation of the Shifter/ Enforcer/ Bad Blood storyline, but a new Dragon trilogy storyline. An ancient Dragon of great power and no morals has been kept in stasis for centuries, but the shields around him are weakening, as evidenced by the tremors in the Portland area. Three 'Wild Dragons', hybrids, are all that's standing against the annihilation of millions of people if the monster escapes. The dragons and their mates, who hold the keys to resecuring his prison. They just have to find them and the artifacts the mates must offer freely.
This book is a great start to the series. I'm looking forward to book two.

Epic Dragon shifter/witch Romance

Book 1 of a dragon shifter series compiled of 3 books. And which has run away from her Coven hoping to protect others from a great evil. There are three dragon hoping to find the 3 seals that's preventing an evil Lord of drakan from breaking out its tomb. One of the Dragons find his mate in the witch.

The characters are emotional, relatable in their adversity, and sexy. The emotion are evoked because of past losses by the dragons and human. There are many battles between Good and Evil that followed the fast paced drama.

Highly recommended. I couldn't put this book down.

I absolutely loved this one.. although I love all her books. I didn't even know about this spin off series until the wild dragons were mentioned in dark wing dragon's mate... so I knew I had to go back and read them. There were several different POVs in this and it got a little confusing but not so bad that it took away from the story. I absolutely adore Zane and his love of cake... I just picture him in his dragon form eating a massive cake lol. And Blaze was kick ass.. she balanced his goofy self. I cant wait to read the next one! And these books can be read on their own but they are mentioned in other series.

Fantastic Dragon Shifters and a plot deeper than just smut

I love shifter stories, particularly dragons, but its almost inevitable that the stories will put more focus on the physical relationship between the main characters than on anything else. So I was very pleasantly surprised to find this book does NOT do this! There is absolutely a physical relationship between Blaze and Zane, but it doesn't take center stage. Their emotional connection is featured just as much, not to mention the end-of-the-world threat they face.

I am absolutely looking forward to reading the next book!
