Ten Toes Down For My Baby
Eighteen-year-old Krystal is no stranger to the hardships of life; however, she’d let nothing stop her from dusting herself off and trying again. Together, the two take on whatever is thrown their way, including an illegitimate love affair. But what how will their hood fairytale work out, when Niyah’s first cousin, just so happens to also be Eamon’s deadbeat baby mama from hell? WOW...O.M.G. What was that? What an intro!!! Ten toes down alright...
This was my first time reading this author and babyyy was it good or was it good. This was the good good and I can't wait to read the ending. For an intro this was the best ever.
Krystal wow what a strong young lady and after heartbreak after heartbreak, it actually seems as if she will never get a chance to breath but then came this and I pray that it stays good for her. Smart, not intelligent, shy not gullible or naive, hard worker and independent and not lazy with her hand out, this young lady is the bomb and she deserve a break.
Khalil, can we spell bae everyday, all day, 365 days a year. Handsome, alpha, virile, loyal, good heart and extremely intelligent, this man has everything and he stays humble and sweet.
Nayia, strong, bull headed, strong willed, independent but stubborn and can't bend anything but she should mellow out a little bit and let the good roll in. Loyal, down for a good cause no matter what.
Eamon man confused much and an almost not too good of a candidate for any of these ladies in this story unless it's his bm but this don't count.
Anya cute, independent, self made, hustler and a go getter, but insecure much, and extremely stubborn. Loyal and protective and possessive.
Boobie well not too much yet on him except that he is as loyal as they can be out there. Same as Kamin, and Louie.
Now, De'Andre, Rissa, Al, G, Kiandra, Tristan and all of the others that Eamon had done set up, used or robbed needs to either get out of the picture or just wait for karma to visit.
Now let me go find out how are things going down now that most parties have linked up..

I have been waiting for this book since September. Let me tell you, even with all the grammatical errors, it was well worth it. Khalil is definitely bae. I love his relationship with Krystal. Kia is shiesty and jealous of Krystal. I can’t wait until karma pays her a visit. Al is using her to get at Krystal and I need to know why he is trying to keep her down. De’Andre needs a career ending beat down. He continuously cheated and had babies on Niyah but expects her to except it as if it’s no big deal. I hope that Niyah and Eamon will build the relationship they both want with each other. Nissa is the epitome of a slut with no scruples whatsoever. She is so deserving of getting an a$$ whooping and Niyah is just the one to give it to her. Boobie and Anya need to tighten up their act and work on being a couple. Book 2 please

This book was craaazzzzy!!!!! Niyah just need to go full force with leaving him, I mean showing his crazy ways in court, cheating scandals, outside babies, threats, belittling her,etc. So she can move on and actually be with who she wants to be with (Eamon) even though she feels it’s wrong. Anyi crazy self needs real love (I mean boobie lol). And Krystal needs to drop her dead weight (her bum baby daddy) from her mind and let lil love her like she deserves. Rissa isn’t good enough to get a part in book two, neither is Niyah’s family. And madear being sick is going to get worse with alllllll the drama. Thanks for a great read!!!! I look forward to part two!

All the way in!
I really felt for Niyah and Krystal in this one. I read a sneak peak with Niyah and didn’t realize she was going to be a part of this book. That was a pleasant surprise. Man DeAndre really pissed me off. Her family pissed me off too taking advantage of Madear so much. Krystal is trying her best in spite of G dissing her and his boys suck. I love Khalil for her and I hope they rock. Kamani also irks me. All the guys acting like they ain’t picking sides but watching her struggle. I hope G never gets a chance with her again. I want Boogie and Eamon to get in their boss ish. It’s time for them to win!

This book was not well written. Niyah was the dumbest woman ever. Any person who is married to a millionaire would have the common sense to stash some money. After 8 years she left with nothing but clothes and a souped up car. Nobody rides spinners on there car anymore. Then she went to live in the hood with a hundred other people living in the same house. The most hood rat thing she did was start sleeping with her cousin’s baby daddy. Straight trash. The author should’ve did her research before writing this book because it was just ridiculous and I know she was not trying to write a comedy.

Wow, when I started reading this book I didn't know what I was getting into. I'm reluctant to read the author's older works because their writing has improved. But this is the first author that shocked me! This was well written and I loved the multiple POVs. I loved the backstory for each character so that we could connect to them. I loved how realistic the dialogue and scenes were. My favourite character is Khalil. 😍 He's amazing. I love Niyah & Eamon's connection I'm excited to see how that plays out. Niyah's husband is scary and I'm curious to see what he does in part 2. Great read. Highly recommended.

Karma Monae came all the way through with this one! When I say there are chicks that's for any and everybody, Rissa definitely comes to mind! To De'Andre: nicca if you wanted to be a male whore out here with these tricks, then you should've stayed single. Money may answer all things but it's definitely the root of all evil! I can't stand people who never want to see the next happy so they sabotage it! Khalil is for sure Ten Toes Down and Krystal better be too or else! I

Too much left
When I tell you I loved Kahlil!!! He is most definitely a grown man. He know he has flaws but he still out there dropping knowledge. His relationship with Krystal has sooo much potential and I love it. Eamon and Niyah is definitely going to be good royalty and I can just feel it. I see Eamon showing De'Andre he really not about that life and I can't wait. I just want to see all the characters win and boss up on everybody that counted them out!!! Definitely need part 2!!!

Great read!
Omg I can't believe karma left us hanging like that!!!!! Yes most def she gotta do a part 2! It's so much that needs to happen and too much growth that needs to be seen. I love the relationship that's blooming between krystal and khalil. I feel like once things are great with them that g gone get out and cause problems. I can't stand al and I feel like he got a lit of secrets he hiding and I know in my heart he a snake. Oh it's about to be so much drama and bombs dropping and best believe im here for it.

Mannnnnnnn when I say that was an awesome read it really was. De'Andre make me so sick, now he realizing what he had because she gone. I don't know if I agree with Eamon and Niyah situation but they're so much alike you can't help but like them together. I love love love Kahlil because he's a man man and I just know if him and Krystal take it there he's going to treat her like a queen. My only concern is when G get out how will Krystal reacted and would she go back to that no good monster. Great read about to read part 2 to see what the conclusion will be.

Al and G are some scrubs for how they treated her. She better take a page out of Niyah and Anyi's book and get it together. Glad that Lil is there for her though. De'Andre better find a hideout because I know Eamon and Boobie about to dig all in his grill for how he did Niyah. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I misssed KarmaMonae baaad
I love ur writing style!!! I was laughing so hard at the dialogue!! Lil is perfect in every way possible. I missed the craziness that a karma Monáe book contains. The realness in Eamon and Nii’s situation is scary and i hope they pull through like the couple i know. Dice did Anya wrong, but she didn’t ask any Direct questions, i wonder if he would of stopped messing with her on his own free will after he got married or did he plan to try to have his cake and eat it too? And I’m sure Rissa about ready to fight with Nii in book 2 .....on to book 2

I was proud of Niyah for having the courage to move forward. I was so mad at the fact that he just flaunted that chick in her face like it was nothing. Rissa is trash and should be ashamed. Loving Krystal and Khalil. It was good to hear from Louie and Lani crazy selves lol. I felt kind of bad for Anaya but she’ll push through. Not sure if I should be rooting for Eamon and Nii but I am. This book was amazing and the advice and affirmations you had throughout felt like you were takingdirectly to me because Lord knows most days i feel like Krystal and others i feel like Eamon....I'm praying he didn't kill her in frontof them babies and he gets jail time for what he's done to niyah honestly...im also rooting for Boobie and Aniya to finally get their selves together because from reading you cantell they love one another

If You Don't Know Karma Monae...You Betta Ask About Her
This book is no different than any of the other masterpieces this author has penned! Despite the few grammatical errors, this book was packed with action, suspense and sheer foolery! It was also a revelation...I found myself thinking back over my life and re-evaluating my experiences, choices, and ideals. There is No Way this can be a stand alone...I'M HERE FOR PART 2!!!!!!!

This story was fire and my ni**a came through and changed Krystal's whole world. Now there has to be a part 2 to this story because I need to know if Khalil and Krystal get married. Not to mention how the hell De'Andre gets to choke my girl Nyiah out and nobody sees or hairs sh**! There has to be a part 2 cause there are too many unanswered questions and I need some answers! This book was a good read but Part 2 is going to be that sh**!!

Too many storylines
I REALLY wanted to enjoy this book but it was told from too many perspectives and had way too many storylines. I would get caught up in one storyline and then the next page there was a completely different storyline. I skipped through half the book trying to get to the chapters of the characters with the good storylines. The writing is great and the book had potential but it was told from TOO MANY CHARACTERS PERSPECTIVES

This book was so hype up. Every reading group or post suggesting books I saw this. So I took a chance on a new author. I feel like this author draggggged TF outta this book. I never been so ready to get to the end in my life. Not because the storyline was good. It was ok. But there were too many unnecessary scenes and not enough action. I felt as long as this book was it took too long to get to the good parts and I guess the good parts will be in part 2 but I’ll never know. 😩

There are so many unanswered question, like who told on Krystal or did she finish school or if Gary came looking for her and lil G, Will Eamon or Lou save Niyah from her husband? Karma you have outdid yourself with this "standalone" (waiting on part 2) I loved it. Niyah and Eamon *fans self* I love them. I couldn't stand Rissa or Kia. They both deserve head shots. LIL is bae. Kystal ,Niyah, Anti are all good women just looking for a good man, but sometimes the past just won't let go. Speechless
I knew Deandre was gone turn into a f boy smh. But his cheese done slid of his cracker and it turned to dust. I can’t get enough of Niyah & Eamon! But I can’t choose between Eamon & Khalil!! They both Bae! I was waiting on Niyah to take charge! Her aunt got just what she deserved. Krystal is a good one! This book was sensational!
