Emma is a Black/white Muslim American mom of five, ages 6-22, in her mid-forties just trying to live her best life…which usually includes coffee, wine, and an unfortunate habit of one-clicking any pretty special edition that winds up in her feed. (If you DM it, she will come.)

She likes K-pop (#army, #moa) cultivation dramas (Till the End of the Moon,) precioussss silence, and collects more makeup than she uses.

She bends knee to Michelle Sagara West, Anne Bishop, N.K. Jemisin, Grace Draven, J.D. Robb, and Nalini Singh—a nod to Sanderson, Goodkind, Eddings, McCaffrey, and McKinley.

If you are looking for romantic epic fantasy set in complex, diverse, sex positive worlds with morally gray societies, powerful anti-heroes with THAD energy, multi-racial heroines at least 35—if not 350—coming into power, and a central theme of family, both dysfunctional and supportive, then you will binge her stories..

Warrior’s Bond

Loved this book! I was happy to see an alien-human love story with an older woman as the love interest. Zoriah is a single mother in a world where the government takes entirely too much interest in her life. Her oldest child, Khalid, has broken the rules for the third time and this will mean Social Intervention will remove him from the home which will mean her housing allotment will be reduced and her whole family will be displaced. When he admits to skipping school to train with the Yadeshi, and apparently taking his two younger siblings with him. Admittance into the YETI training program will mean he is out of the clutches of SI, but what will it mean for his future?

Benyon is a Yadeshi warrior who has been training students at the YETI on Earth. He is near the end of his assignment and plans to return to his planet and work his family farm. When Khalid comes to him with his story, Benyon agrees to talk to his mother and try to convince her to sign the paperwork allowing her son to join the training program. But once he sees her he has a whole other list of things he wants.

I am not going to spoil the story for you. You will enjoy it if you like these types of books. There is even a glimpse into the future to wrap up the HEA.

Warrior’s Vow

I ended up reading this one twice, once as a stand-alone some years ago and once in the boxset.
Mila is in the Yadeshi warrior training program even though she knows she has very little chance of making it through. She actually has very little chance of living long enough to make it through. It seems that the only thing that helps her is the “glowy” treatment that the Yadeshi doctor gives her when she gets too weak.

Jaron has decided that Mila will be his mate, but he knows she will not accept that outright. He will have to be a little sneaky about helping her using the bonding tattoos, but he doesn’t mind. He really needs to convince her that she doesn’t owe her mother her life and that he can save both of them if she will just give him the chance.

Warrior’s Mate

I discovered that I was also reading this for the second time. Just as good as the first time!

I loved the story of Gayle and Ithann. Emma's books always leave me wanting more.
Gayle was born into a family of privilege, but she didn't want a life like her mother's, so she signed up for the Yadeshi Brides program and entered the warrior training with an eye for her instructor as her mate. She enjoyed pushing his buttons, and he enjoyed pushing her harder than the other trainees. Everything was going well until her parents decided that she needed to stop her rebellion and choose a husband, and not a Yadeshi warrior. This starts the real rebellion.

Unknown to Gayle, Ithann is sort of a Prince on his planet and he does not plan to let her go without a fight, to the death if necessary. When Gayle's father puts her under house arrest she bides her time when planning her escape. Unfortunately, her father almost outmaneuvers her, and Ithann is forced to have her declared his concubine to save her from the brig. Awkward.

No more details. There is fighting, scheming, and hot sex. Go with it.

Warrior's Bond
I had fun with this story. I appreciated that Zoriah and Benyon are mature in both age and attitude. I loved Zoriah’s momma bear fierceness in defence of her children and I really liked the ‘courtliness’ of Benyon’s seduction of her. My only real complaint with the book is that it felt too short for the story it’s telling. There are several parts of the book I would have liked to know more about, particularly Zoriah’s rival and what happens after the marking. Hopefully these are things that future books in the series will be able to touch back on so that I can get the questions I still have answered.
Warrior's Vow
This was another enjoyable book in the series. I liked Mila’s desire to take care of her mother, but the toxic co-dependency of that relationship frustrated me. I loved Jaron’s need to make sure that he never lost someone he cared for again, but I’m a little upset with him for the sneaky underhanded way he goes about it with Mila. I also really liked the slower burn and that we get to see the relationship between them as it develops. Though, I had a similar problem with this book as I did the first; there’s some very interesting stuff going on around the couple that I wish would have been developed further. It didn’t really answer any of the questions I had from the first book and has left me with even more now. The ending felt a bit unfinished. There are also a bunch of distracting typos in the text. However, the introduction to our next couple has left me very intrigued and I look forward to reading more about them.
Warrior's Mate
Gayle wants to be more than the pampered princess her parents raised her to be. Her warrior training is just one step in her plan to achieve that. Instead, she often leaps before looking reinforcing that unwanted image. Ithann is very controlled and that sometimes comes across as cold and unfeeling. Unfortunately, he also has a tendency to forget that Gayle was raised in a different culture from him. That means they’re both baffled when the other reacts differently than expected. They’re both quite spoiled and selfish, so I found it difficult to like either of them at times. Even though our leading couple really didn’t work for me, I adored several of the secondary characters. I enjoyed this book, but I wasn’t fully satisfied by it. There’s more ‘meat’ to the story than either of the previous ones which made me very happy. However, I’m discovering that I’m not altogether a fan of the way the books in this series end. These soft cliff-hangers leave me with too many unanswered questions for my peace of mind. On the other hand, it does make me want to keep reading the series, searching for answers.

Bond
This is part of the Starr Huntress series and it's fantastic
Zoriah had a baby young and under the new government program had to marry the deadbeat dad and stay in there program until her first born turned 18 years old.
The yadeshi came to earth looking for workers and mates. With out her knowin or her ok all 3 of her kids joined the YETI group.
That's how Benson an adekham master meet then and then their mother the only women for him!
When the kids are in trouble with the human government he steps in,
WOW what an intense and fun story. Loved the aliens she created and j loved the characters. SyFy fans this one is for you!

Vow
Mila is a sick human woman who has cancer answer will die soon. The treatments are high priced so to avoid having to put out the money they talk the cancer victims into a government program to pay a living family member after you die. It's the program she signs up for to give to her mom, she also signs on to be tested like a lab rat to give more money to her mom.
Jaron is a doctor for the YETI. He knows Mila is ment to be his has known for months but he is taking his time with her to heal her both mentally and physically before he claims her. He just the warrior to do it and he will not fail even when danger comes to his women.
I loved the characters and there development. Great storyline. I love a warrior who goes after what he wants!
SyFy fans you should really love this one.

Mate
Gayle was from an upper class family but she joined the YETI Yadeshi-earth training institution to learn to fight. Her instructor is Adekhan warrior named Ithann. While she has been driving him nuts he has been waiting to get approval to claim her as his.
Her dad puts a wrinkle in both thier plans when he uses an old law on earth to lock her up in his home. When Ithann wants her at stay and do things the right way. She becomes disillusioned in his for not saving her so she saves herself. Then her and her best friend runs off world
Ithann is not far behind but her father gas hired people too.
Lots of danger, stress and just craziness surrounded her. Ithann get all commanding and dark on her and then this marriage document that only makes her his cocubine and if she doesn't please him? I can see her flipping out
It's a great storyline with Awsome characters. Ithann seems to be alot different then the other warrior males at least from the other books I have read in this series. A little warning for some reader the sex scenes are a little dark with some violence and bondage.

This is a wonderful, interesting & intriguing Alien Trilogy and I thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every page until the end. This book (Warrior’s Bond) is about: a alien romance between a human female (Mila) who is quite ill and a Yadeshi alien/doctor/warrior (Jaron). What you will find in this book is drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, action, intrigue, warrior training, unethical medical study/testing, drugs, abduction, rescued, lust, love, passion and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written, the pace was steady and not rushed. The characters are well developed and have needs and desires according to their personality.

This book (Warrior’s Vow) is about: (Zoriah) a woman and mother trying to the best of her ability to look after her three children by working two jobs. Her son (Khalid) is in trouble at school for the third time and now the government is coming to look at Zoriah’s family and will most likely take her three children from her. Khalid tells her that he has been training with the Yadeshi (aliens) and from here the adventure begins. What you will find in this book is: drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, government interference, a defiant son & daughters, fear, defiance, detainment, threats, released, space ship, tattoos merging, lust, passion, love and erotic scene. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written, and keeps the readers attention. The characters are well developed with emotional feelings and entwine well with each other with regards to the situation they find themselves in and react with fears, doubts, needs and desires. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a well-written and interesting alien romance trilogy.

3 in one makes for a smoother reading of the series. . . with each new one you make a connection to the characters and maybe along the way have a few misconceptions. . .

Warriors Bond (Zoriah and Benyon)
This new world where the lower class are left with few life choice and automatic assigment to that class by default because of underage sex, pregnancy and marriage. This would make you wonder what the hell. But I was pulled in by the complication of the class system and the fact that aliens inhabited the Earth with a bargain in place. Earth's women give themselves over to a system that could change their world. And their lives.

Warriors Vow (Mila and Jaron)
Mila to be strong, independent and highly difficult. She was a I can do kinda of girl even when her body was not willing to do. She found a friends and ally in both female, Gwen and alien, Jaron. They both provided her with the support that she needed. Her life was difficult and hard won. She has drama in her life with her mother instability both mentally and physically. Jaron found his mate. She just didn't know it yet. She would get the full effects of her mate soon enough right now it was her life that needed saving.

Warriors Mate (Gayle and Ithann)
I was impresded with the increased level if intensity that came about in this one. Things developed with more depth. There were more characters to involve and a richer plot line. There were moment of confusion but the theread was retrieved rather quickly. The jump in events may have thrown me a bit but I love this story. Gwen, high ranking daddy's princess, and alien prince, Ithann. This one had the heat, bite of passion, intense fire of defiance.

Good introduction to series

Follow your heart

Kept in a low caste position our mother struggles to provide for her children. Her enterprising son choses to investigate the alien way. What happens next is fates way of lending a hand, especially with betrayal added to the mix.

Second chance

Dying of cancer Mila plans ahead to take care of her mother but an alien has his sights set on her. Little does she know he's been secretly healing her. When a kidnapping is thwarted Mila wakes up to what she wants for herself, and he's all blue

What wife?

Her father wants to use her, she wants to be her own woman but more so she wants the big alien all to herself. This one is full of betrayal, attempted kidnapping, and single minded nastiness, good thing she's well trained in how to be upper crust

A great trilogy collection!

This collection was my first go with the Warriors of Yedahn, and now that I'm finished I want more of them. They were protective, alpha makes who also had somewhat sweet sides for their mates. All of the stories were unique. It definitely didn't feel like you were reading the same plot over again with a different set of heroes and heroines. And it's hard to say which story was my favorite because they were all good. However, I didn't like Ithann as much as the other two Yadeshi males. He seemed cruel. Although he seemed to soften a little bit at the end, but I don't know if it was enough for me to really like him (and I read dark romances). If you haven't read this trilogy yet, get started today!!

Interesting new world with 3 different heroes

The premise of this series is not really a new one, but this is a fresh take on a fairly common plotline. The three different stories in the trilogy were refreshingly different from each other. All in all, a quick read, with good editing and interesting characters.
