I t was the s tart of another wonderful day at Kiseki no Sedai A cademy.

A t leas t, for one basketball junkie named Kagami Taiga, it would definitely be wonderful because today, he was getting c lose to finally perfec ting a new maneuver. I t had taken a rigorous training regimen and lots of patience in the pas t

few weeks , but his hard work will finally pay off later, when he'll try the move agains t his teammates during their c lub prac tice this afternoon.

Taiga grinned exc itedly, already imagining what their team's future matches in the upcoming Inter-High competition would be like. He happily whis tled a tune while heading towards the cafeteria. O n the way, the red-haired basketball

player had all but ignored the warning looks he got from the teachers walking along the hallway. I t was probably because of his uniform. A fter all, the proper male attire for their s chool was a white polo shirt, a black blazer, matching

black s lacks and shoes , and the color-coded necktie with the s chool's ins ignia emblazoned on it.

He was wearing the blazer unbuttoned and the blue necktie a little loose.

Like I give a damn, thought Taiga. He was the s tar athlete of the basketball c lub and his grades were okay—or well, somewhat okay. No need to be a good little s tudent all the time, right? M aybe back in Firs t Y ear, yes , but he had been a

huge help to his team. They've snagged the championship and are now going to defend their title this year. The leas t the s chool could do was to cut him some s lack. The uniform's a bit s tifling if he didn't loosen it.

The tall redhead was about to pas s another glaring teacher, when a deep voice suddenly bellowed from behind.

"Y o, Red! Wait up! "
