There’s only one girl in the world for me. She’s three feet of boundless energy and blonde pigtails. But when Sophie walks into my bar, I know my life is about to change.

Beautiful though damaged, she needs my help. And I can’t say no.

She was there for me during my darkest hour. The warm comfort that got me through to the light of day. But when morning came she was gone.

Second time around, I’m on my guard. Fighting an attraction so strong, it’s like fighting the laws of gravity.

I can’t fall for her. I have to protect my heart, and that of my little girl.

Because history has a habit of repeating itself. And I won’t be burned again.

But she’s becoming the one thing I can’t resist.

We’re just two broken souls fighting the forces of nature and the inevitable fall. Will gravity win, or will we be torn apart?

Gravity is the second, stand-alone novel in the brand-new Savages and Saints series, and a spin off of the Wild Irish series from Amazon Bestselling Author C.M. Seabrook

This lady has me wrapped around her fingers... It's the truth, because everytime she says that her new book is available I stop everything and start it. I can't deny the urge to know more...
C. M. Seabrook is the one to blame... Her writing is simple yet powerful, very detailed and engaging, with a twist of mystery, pain and some pretty hot stuff... Hell yeah... Just the way I like it...
Gravity is her latest release and it's the second book from the Savages and Saints series.
Let me just say one thing. Despite all books are standalones I totally advise you to read first the Wild Irish series a 3 book series and then read Torment, the first book from this series. You'll see that everything will make sense and why I'm saying this.
This book explores the lifes of Kade and Sophie.
Kade is a single dad that loves his daughter more than anything in the world. He's been raising her since her mother left. He's struggling with her death, but it was something that he was expecting since she was a drug addict.
He had closed his heart to love but...
Sophie loves to perform. She works in a bar, a job that she doesn't really enjoy but being able to perform turns it bearable. She's been numb for four years and after that she just wants to live her life, save enough money to get out of that town, without giving herself to another person. Because one psycho ex it's enough to have her run for the hills but this stranger guy that walked into her bar...
Jesus... What a book... What a story...
The plot is superb, very well written, super engaging and powerful. Each chapter ended with the need to keep reading, to keep fighting, to keep feeling.
The chemistry they share is perfect despite being tumultuous sometimes.
This book presented us with loss, madness, abuse, sadness as well as love, desire, family, trust and second chances.
There were parts of the story that I wanted to get into it to hold them and to promisse that everything would be alright but there were others that I wanted to slap someone... Jeez.
And we have some naughty and hot scenes as well...
While reading this book I was picturing the next one from this series and trying to set up the next couples. Crazy right? But I don't care because this is the power that this author has on me. The hunger for more book is insane.
C. M. you are amazing and this series is getting better and hotter... When can I have the next one? And who will be the new couple? So many to choose from... Oh boy!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

❤~🌟~❤4.5 HEART-THROBBING STARS!❤~🌟~❤

“I see her, see my own battered soul reflected in her eyes. And it undoes me.”

Angsty single dad romances are my KRYPTONITE, and when we get one penned by the gloriously talented C.M. Seabrook, talk about sweet euphoria!!

THE STORY:
Single Dad Kade Savage has been badly burned in love and his heart belongs to one and only lady. His precious little princess, Lola. But fate has different plans in mind for this jaded tortured soul! For on one of the worst nights of his life, he is drowning his sorrows in an out of town bar, and in his drunken haze he is transfixed by a stunningly beautiful songbird whose tragic lyrics mirrors the agony in his own heart. Drawn together by a force out of their control, the two strangers seek comfort and solace in each other’s arms for one unforgettable night of carnal bliss! But when the sun rises the next morning the angelic beauty is gone.

Their paths collide yet again 5 months later when Sophie’s car breaks down when she's passing through Kade’s hometown of Port Clover and winds up in his family run Savages and Saints bar. Little Lola instantly warms to her but Kade? Ummm…not so much! Still reeling from the shock of seeing the mystery woman who’s consumed his every waking thought since their explosive encounter, he is distrustful of her sudden reappearance in his life. But seducing the growly single dad is the last thing on a Sophie’s agenda. Petrified, penniless and on the run from a psycho ex, she is in desperate need of a fresh start and, despite everything, her dire predicament causes the white knight in Kade to ROAR to the surface.

Although Sophie hates accepting charity, she is eternally grateful when “her beautiful stranger” hires her to wait tables/perform at Savages and Saints, offers her the vacant apartment above the bar and provides refuge from the storm of chaos that threatens to engulf her. They agree to keep things strictly professional but the close proximity causes their red hot attraction to burn brighter than ever, and the gravitational pull between them cannot be denied! Can these two wounded spirits find love and healing in each other’s arms…or will deadly repercussions forever tear them asunder?

MY THOUGHTS:
Oh my sweet lord! I could not resist the GRAVITATIONAL pull of this hot, smolderingly sexy, intensely emotional book about two lost broken souls who get a shot at a beautiful new beginning together! I just loved, loved, loved this novel from the first wildly addictive page to the wondrous denouement. This is the second book in the Savages and Saints series, and while it can definitely be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the first book TORMENT first.

There’s just something about GRAVITY that just punches you in the gut. The plot is masterfully crafted, teeming with small-town charm, heart palpitating twists and turns, tumultuous angst, and blazing hot interludes!

As always, Ms. Seabrook’s vibrant, engaging, and intensively emotive narrative sucks you in and leaves you UTTERLY TRANSFIXED. I couldn’t bear to put this book down and who could blame me, really? I mean Sophie and Kade have an explosive chemistry, the soul deep connection between them set my heart all aflame, and each and every one of their interactions is pulsating with smoldering heat, palpable discord and deep poignant emotion! ! I adore how the endearingly sweet yet uber secretive heroine brings out the alpha protector—and the fiercely possessive lover--in this gruff single dad who has all but given up on love. And it's utterly intoxicating to behold the magnetic push-pull between these two kindred spirits as they valiantly try to resist temptation until there is nothing left to do but SURRENDER!

As for the character development? Top notch as always! Kade was, in short, absolutely mesmerizing!!! Talk about a SWOON-WORTHY ALPHA MALE who is tall, dark and ruggedly gorgeous on the outside, yet beneath his battle scarred shield of armor is a man who is so fiercely protective, loyal, kind and chivalrous! His whole world revolves around his work, his family, and most especially his beloved daughter Lola. He will do anything to shield his motherless little girl from being hurt again and has closed himself off from romantic love—with good reason. But then a beautifully wounded songbird bursts into his world and it’s forever changed.

And…yikes…he may have just met his match in the broken down department. Sophie has suffered an unbearable loss that has permanently marked her life, and the haunting sadness that glimmers in her deep, soulful, hazel eyes nearly brings Kade to his knees. Plus she’s in danger and THAT JUST WON'T DO!

I have so much ADMIRATION AND EMPATHY for Sophie who has endured so much hardship and tragedy yet still manages to find beauty in the world again. I was drawn to her aching vulnerability, her strength, her courage, and her resilience. And despite the grief in her own heart, she brings joy and hope not only into Kade’s life but his sweet little girl’s! Her music plays a pivotal role in her healing journey, and it also brings the hero and heroine together in remarkable ways. As does fate and destiny!

And...gah...don’t get me started on the heart-melting scenes with Kade’s precocious little princess! Lola was such a bright ray of sunshine and I couldn’t stop grinning at the things this adorable little scene stealer said and did. And the way she helped filled the holes in the grief-stricken heroine’s fractured heart was just beyond powerful!

I also love the warm, hospitable small-town of Port Clover...and the secondary cast, comprised mostly of the close knit Savage and St. James clans, complimented the main storyline in extraordinary ways. And I found the pacing of the story to be pitch perfect, with plenty of drama and romance and suspense to keep me riveted throughout.!!!

Although this story is virtually flawless, I did have to knock a half star off the rating because of a sinister revelation at the end that, frankly, I found totally unnecessary and just did not sit right with me. But that quibble aside, the story was amazeballs….and omg THAT FINAL CHAPTER!!! You better have tissues handy because this book contains one of the most ENCHANTING STORYBOOK ENDINGS I have ever read! Epic swoony feels, folks!!!

BOTTOM LINE:
GRAVITY pulled me in, swept me up and away and gave me a velvety soft place to fall! At its core, this is a powerful and passionate tale about fate and destiny, hope and healing, overcoming grief, loss, hurt and heartbreak, and, finally, embracing a second chance at love against all odds!

5 straight to the favorites list stars!! What an amazing book. You have to love the Savage/St James men!!

This is the second book in the “Savages and Saints” series and so far each can be read as a stand alone but both of these books were so damn good!!

💜.. Sophie & Kade.. 💜

Sophie~ unsure, scared, and haunted. Best words to describe Sophie. But this girl with the beautiful voice is more then what you see. One stranger changed her whole life...

Kade~ jaded, protective, and hurt. That’s Kade. This sexy, loyal and charming man had been hurt by two people who he thought were everything to him. He just needs a spark, a flicker of passion to bring him back to a world he once knew...

“I touch his arm gently. It’s not meant to be anything more than a gesture of sympathy, but like every time we touch, there’s a tug. A gravity so strong I know it could destroy us both if we gave into it.”

💭.. What do I think?!? ..💭

Delicious!! I love all these men!! I can’t wait for more books!! I knew from book one that Kade would destroy me. I believe I am mad at my husband over this book. Kade set that bar!!! He isn’t Mr Too Good, he’s got just the right amount of bad in him. I mean I felt protected behind the pages. Sophie is one lucky woman!! Sometimes the victim/the girl with more insecurities then skills can drive me crazy with the back and forth. But Sophie was so much more. And the author made sure it wasn’t over the top and annoying. It was just perfect.

Those boys (Jasper,Abbott, and Damon) make me want more words right now!! And though Liam was not in this book I did not forget him!! And can I say I think Lola is still my favorite!! There is a scene, I won’t say what just know there were princesses, that brought immediate tears (like a can’t hold back tears) and was just the cherry on top!!

This book was written beautifully. The flow was steady and I could not put this book down. I am amazed with every book this author puts out. I, literally, wanted to throw my kindle at the end. It went so fast and so deep I wasn’t even ready for it to end. Every book just as good as the last, if not more. This book goes on my MUST READ of 2018 list!!

**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING! I could not put it down! Emotive, well written and HOT, HOT, HOT!
“GRAVITY”, C.M. Seabrook’s newest full length, stand-alone offering in her “Savages and Saints” series is marvelous! Gritty and Compelling the plot is full of action, unexpected twists and the kind of suspense that keeps one at the edge of the seat, even when ya know what’s going to happen! But then I am such a princess, I know dreams come true – especially in a C.M Seabrook romance! Sophie will capture the hearts of every reader with her vulnerability, her undying hope for a better future, and the boundless joy she exudes in living despite what life has thrown at her. Kade will also capture hearts with his protective nature and his ability to empower those he loves. Then there is Lola, the child who captures the attention of everyone around her with that ability to hand out hearts, flowers, and balloons in a manner only youth will allow. Their story was so compelling I stayed up way too late last night trying to finish the novel, but this morning find that I am bereft without my character friends. I am going to go back to re-read “TORMENT”, the first book in the series and then come back to re-read “GRAVITY”. While I have liked Seabrook’s writing in the past – her IRISH series and MMA FIGHTING series were really good – GRAVITY takes her writing to a new level for this reviewer. Bottom line is this, BUY THIS BOOK – it is worth any price to experience!! While I was given an ARC to prepare this honest voluntary review, I plan to put it in my favorites collection on my Kindle. I also plan to purchase a copy for my daughter who is also a princess! I love happy endings, especially when the author takes the time to actually take her readers through the events rather than just state, “they got married and lived happily ever after (HEA).” I know other readers will relate to and love “GRAVITY” as much as I do, so it is getting this reviewer’s HIGHEST and STRONGEST RECOMMENDATION! I wish I could give it more than five stars! So, I strongly suggest you purchase your copy of “GRAVITY” today; you will be so glad you did! Happy pages! 😉

“GRAVITY” by C.M. Seabrook is her newest full length, stand-alone book in her “Savages and Saints” series. Kade and Sophie meet as a one night stand and their one night stand was a no strings affair. Months later they end up meeting again- this time Sophie is down on her luck and she ends up being befriended by Quinn who offers her a job a job and a place to stay. This is one where fate plays such a strong hand…guess who Sophie’s new boss is? OMG This story has all the feels and sizzle to it. Sophie and Kate have such an intense chemistry. They both have things going on in their life and it takes one another to help them realize they don’t have to go it alone. Will they accept their second chance , take it or will their pasts get in the way? This is an endearing and passionate read, one that I would recommend to anyone.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****

This was a fantastic romance for two broken people tragedy in their pasts. Kade and Sophie meet as a one night stand with no strings attached. Neither are looking for relationships. They each have so much heartache that trust and hope are long gone. when fate steps in they let lust and carnal desires take over their logic. I enjoyed the romantic gestures and the definite HEA I crave.

Did I love this second instalment in the Savages & Saints series? Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes!!!

It was everything I’d hoped it would be. CM Seabrook did not disappoint, she actually exceeded my expectations.

The chemistry between the two characters was undeniable. The pair were immediately drawn to each other. A force neither of them knew would keep pulling them together, despite their efforts to put up walls and push each other away.

Gravity pulled on my heartstrings. Scratch that, at times it yanked the damn things right off. Such a beautiful heartfelt story. Add in the intense attraction, and the drama that follows and the author has penned my favorite of her stories so far.

But I have no doubt she will continue to up her game as the series continues. I am so ready. Bring it!!!

4*
Kade has been hurt before his ex did a number on him, so trusting is hard he’s protective of his daughter Lola.
Sophia meets Kade when he’s unexpectedly passing through at last hoping to rest his demons, but the spark is fierce. However she’s done with men after her ex Charlie.

Meinung:

Another great book from the Savages and Saints series, it can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you read the series. down.

C.M. Seabrook has written us a love story that will pulls on the heartstrings a real page turner. The character developement is fantastic and draws you deeper into the story.

Kade and Sophie are both hiding secrets and broken hearts from their pasts. They meet and have what is meant to be a no string attached one night stand. However, they keep crossing paths and are drawn to each other. The attraction and chemistry between the two is hot. I love Kade as you see him in a strong alpha role at times but also see his vulnerable and insecure side, which has you wanting Sophie and his relationship to work.

I honestly can’t recommend this book enough and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s coming next in this amazing series.

The second book in the Savages and Saints series is undoubtedly every bit as good as the first one. I was glad that this book was about Kade, because if anyone deserves a happily ever after, it has to be him.
But having said that, I think Sophie probably deserves it even more than him. Her backstory is absolutely heartbreaking. These two broken souls could have given up on love altogether, but even with everything bad that has happened in their lives, they are both strong people deep inside.
To me, Lola absolutely steals the show. I imagine it would be hard to write a child character, but CM has done a fantastic job.
Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Wow! What a change of pace to have a hero who is strong and growly yet shows his vulnerable, insecure side as well. Kade is just everything! I loved his devotion to Lola, and what a precious little princess she was! Sophie has such a broken heart, so much tragedy in her young life. Her heart calls to his right from the start, even when both are too scared to take a chance with each other.

I loved how the author showed their romance developing slowly, and it was especially wonderful to read about the rest of the Savages and Saints as well. You can almost see the seeds being planted for future books. So much heart, so much love in this book. And that HEA was fairy-tale perfect! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Audio Review:
Gravity (Savages and Saints) (Volume 2) is a perfect addition to this series. Broken souls and suspense entwined into the narrative with romance seeping through the pages. Kade's daughter Lola is a favourite of mine. I love this one more than book one. I love the dynamics of Kade's family. This ends with the perfect hea.

Narrators Gunnar Qualen, Jenna St. Clair are the perfect choice for this duet narration. Their inflection fits the characters and narrative perfectly. You get all the right sentiments in the right places. Everything flows through smoothly and at the right pace.

Overall, a intriguing narrative with entertaining narators.

I received an ARC of this book, this is my honest review.

This was my first book by C.M. Seabrook and it will definitely not be my last. This is book 2 in the Savages and Saints series and while I haven't read Book 1 yet, I was able to follow the story perfectly.

Kade and Sophie's story begins with a one-night stand that is supposed to be a no string attached affair. Sophie's twisted life brings her back into Kade's even though she didn't intend to cross paths with him again.

Both are broken and each have a few secrets that they are holding close to their chests. Can their passion for one another be enough to break through insecurities and bring them the happiness they both deserve?

This was an excellent read. I loved this book and highly recommend it!

This is a stay up all night too read, I just had to finish this heartwarming story about these two broken souls. Kade I was feeling for that Man so hard in the previous book, he is raising his daughter Lola all by himself after his ex-wife choose drugs over being a family, (and a whole bunch more stuff that you should read about in the first book of the series) . Kade is a catch but he refuses to put himself out there afraid and refusing to get hurt again. He has an unforgettable one night with a waitress outta town after a very emotional, and whiskey infused day. Then he goes back to being celibate, closed off Kade, father to the Lola princess extrondaire.
Sophia is a waitress at a bar who is just trying to get away, from her Ex, and her past that she deals with every second of the day. She is so strong but thinks she is weak, this woman is all alone and beating herself up over an accident. She is struggling and Kade helps her out one night after her ex shows up to harass her, they share one night of passion that results in Sophia realizing she needs to get away. Months later living in her car, that breaks down she befriends Quinn who offers her a job and a place to stay. Surprise that one night stand is your new Boss.
I adored this couple their was so much holding then back from each other and it took a while for Sophia and Kade to finally let their guards down, and man was it beautiful. Kade hot single Dad so deserved the world, I think he is probably the most Alpha Man that this author has ever written, Love that MAN. Sophia thank goodness she stepped up and refused to let her Ex win, I thought for sure she was going to disappoint me, but didn't. I loved Lola, her interaction with everyone was adorable.

Loved where the title came from: Sophie says "When I'm around you, I feel like I'm being pulled back into life again."
Kade is returning home from Chicago after having identified the dead body of his ex-wife. He stops in a bar in a small town. There are sparks between him and the server Sophie. They end up going back to her place, thinking they will never see each other again. Being loved by Kade, Sophie is given the courage to flee that night from her abusive ex-husband Charlie.
Five months later, Sophie's car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. A woman stops to help. As they talk, Quinn tells her about a job and housing. Sophie takes her up on it, then later learns it is the bar owned by Kade. Kade first thinks she is stalking him, but wises up quickly. Kade has a daughter Lola. Sophie's son Noah passed away in a drowning accident. Both are reeling from their pasts. There are lots of turmoil, angst, and mistrust in their relationship.
Will Lola and Sophie's princess dreams come true?

C.M. SEABROOK DOES IT AGAIN! SHE MASTERFULLY CREATED A STORY WITH EVERYTHING I LOVE. SWOONY HERO, STRONG HEROINE & CAPTIVATING STORYLINE WITH ALL THE RIGHT FEELS . GRAVITY IS A WINNER! 4.5 STARS *****

Author C.M. Seabrook does it again. She masterfully created a story with everything I love in her books. Swoony hero’s, wonderfully real heroine’s and a captivating story line. Gravity reeled me in hook line and sinker from the very first page.

One night. Two people.

Two people…. Two strangers…… Two lost souls searching for an escape, if only for a little while…… An escape from broken dreams, loss of epic proportions, total devastation and unspeakable acts of cruelty.

Finding solace in the arms of a stranger….. It should be that easy shouldn’t it? Well, not for Kade & Sophie. Each with a story to tell but never do.

One night of total abandon. One night of complete rapture. One night of letting go. One night of giving yourself over to feelings long since been forgotten because of pain and guilt so great, it destroys, utterly obliterates any remaining feeling of normalcy or happiness. Then morning comes. One is gone. One is left wondering why.

Circumstances beyond their control unknowingly bring them back together. Each one wondering what the other is hiding and no one is talking. Each one fighting their own demons. Fighting with themselves. Each having serious trust issues but with good reason.

Will they find the strength to take a chance on finding love again? Can they leave the guilt behind and embrace what’s right in front of them even if they are too blind and stubborn at times to see it? Do they stand a chance of having a happily ever after? Inch by little inch, however slowly, their walls begin to crumble and they begin to let each other in.

But time is not on their side. Danger lurks around every corner. Just when you start thinking you know what’s going on, you don’t. There are twists in the story that bring new light and new darkness.

They say the truth will set you free. Will that be the case for Kade & Sophie? Can love be found in the arms of a stranger? Will they have their fairy tale ending?

This is how I can best describe Gravity by author, C.M. Seabrook. The story was angsty, heartbreaking, suspenseful, shocking, funny, sexy and healing.

The characters were unique in their own way. Loving, protective, stubborn and engaging. I just fell in love with both Kade and Sophie.

I adored Sophie. She is a great addition to this series. She’s the perfect match for Kade. I loved Kade. I mean who wouldn't melt at his feet? He’s sexy, alpha and swoonalicious in every way. Let’s not forget about little Lola, Quinn & Zee and the whole gang.

I gave this book 4.5 stars. I would have given it 5 stars but I would have loved to have had more of a backstory on Sophie’s past. We knew so much about Kade’s and it really would have lent itself to the story knowing more details about Sophie and what brought her to where she was in this story. I can’t give specifics without spoilers and that’s just not my style.

I find myself waiting with itchy fingers. Eagerly waiting to get my hands on the next book of the Savages & Saints Series.

If you have not already done so, go grab your copy of Gravity. It’s not necessary but I would highly recommend reading book 1, Torment first because you get to know all of the characters mentioned here in Gravity. Honestly….. I JUST FLOVE THIS SERIES!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book but I also purchased my own copy. You should too. ❤❤

Inhalt:

4.5 stars

The broken pieces of him matched the broken pieces of her. While it's always our hope and intent to be whole by ourselves, for some of us it takes help, companionship, love. Someone to fill our voids and help us achieve what we couldn't on our own. Kade and Sophie are both aching but if they can let go of their fear and insecurities they can find a new happiness they were too grief-stricken to imagine before.

With Kade being big, broody, gorgeous, and celibate, I was almost expecting more intensity and misplaced frustration. But what we got was a soft, feeling man with a heart so big and so fragile that I was almost nervous that Sophie wouldn't live up to my hopes for her.

She did, though. Sophie was all kinds of fragile herself and it was her misplaced guilt that was breaking her the hardest. The steel in her spine regarding her ex wasn't always apparent but the evidence of it was in her courage to leave, courage to stay with Kade, and courage to save the ones she could. Her penchant for running often hid that strength but sometimes there's wisdom in getting away. Unfortunately her past can run just as fast and far as she can.

The drama in the story was angsty and full of intimations of the deeper darkness in everyone so we're nowhere near the end of everyone's redemption and healing but we're making slow, steady progress. Kade and Sophie both had to face up to their grief and pain as individuals but also together. They each brought about that confrontation but also provided the balm necessary to soothe one another. With the sweet, sappy, and childish (in all the best ways) ending I'm so full of feels for them, their journey, and the future they're building. Such a fantastic story!

The second book in the Savages and Saints series is undoubtedly every bit as good as the first one.

this heartwarming story about these two broken souls. Then he goes back to being celibate, closed off Kade, father to the Lola princess extraordinaire.

This is one action packed story from start to finish. Once I started this book, I was unable to put it down. There is drama, suspense, and twists and turns that will keep the reader’s rapt attention.

**Kade and Sophie**

Kade has just found out his drug addict wife is dead and even though they have not been together in years he is sad for his daughter. His daughter who has no idea who her mother is because she left before she can remember. Kade has been a single dad and when he meets Sophie at the very bar that he was trying to forget about that life for just a little while. He could never forget about his daughter.
Sophie is trying to make her life. She has a possessive and highly abusive ex husband. He still thinks they belong together and he is willing to do anything to get her back.
Kade and Sophie have a one night stand and never expect to ever see each other again. But Sophie is running from her ex and Kade's sister Quinn finds Sophie on the side of the road broken down in her car. In pure Quinn fashion she offers Sophie a job at Kade's bar and the apartment above it to stay in. Kade has no idea this is happening. When Kade comes face to face with his fantasies from the one night they had together. He is fighting to not fall for her because of his past and his daughter. Sophie's past is much the same of heart break and depression. She doesn't want to fall for Kade because she knows eventually her ex husband will find her and she will have to run again and that will break Kade and Lola.

I loved the first book in this series. Ihave to say though that this book stole my heart. This book was amazing and breathtaking. Heart breaking and beautiful.

Every time I listen to a C.M. Seabrook story, I think it's my favorite, but this one definitely has made it to the top. The story of Sophie and Kade ripped me apart and warmed my heart! Kade Savage is a single dad who only has eyes for his daughter. When fate steps in, in the form of a beautiful woman, Kade has a one night stand that he cannot forget. Sophie is having a tough time, and when her car breaks down and she finds herself in Kade's bar. Quickly taken in by the big-hearted Quinn, Sophie finds herself entrenched in the Savage family, working for Kade and living in his extra apartment. But what will happen when these two get together? Seabrook has a way of writing, pulling you into a story and making you part of it. It's like I am there for Sophie as she muddles through her life and reveals her secrets. I could feel the pain and frustration that Kade has as he is working through his issues and I find myself falling in love right along with them..They are both so broken, but together they heal each other. Add in a little suspense too, with Charlie coming to town, giving the story some grit and thrills. I also love the overlap of characters. We get to see Quinn and Zee as well as the mention of Wild Irish, giving that hometown community feel to the story.

Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire dually narrate this story beautifully. Their performance gives all the emotional push and pull as Sophie and Kade come together. It's a wonderful narration.

This is book 2 in the Savages and Saints series and though they can be read on their own I highly recommend reading Torment as well, you just can't get enough of the Savage/St James men!!
Gravity is Kade's story. He has a miserable past and instead of dwelling on it he chose to focus solely on his daughter and his bar. No dating, no sleeping around just taking care of what's his. He lives like this for four years before something horrific triggers his need for connection.
She was there for him when he needed her most. The stranger who he hasn't seen in five months but hasn't forgotten.
Sophie is down on her luck and running from a dangerous past. When she's offered help it's hard to take, she knows people don't just help you without wanting something in return. And then she comes face to face with the one person who may be just as broken as her, the man she never expected to see again. Her story is heart breaking, while Kade's is rough her's is more rip your heart out and stomp on it.

Kade and Sophie are both broken, can two people with similar histories ever work through it enough to trust or will it destroy them.
I loved this book, from beginning to end even the hard parts, it just made me love the characters more. The chemistry is palpable, their story is well written and well paced, it doesn't lag and I read this in one sitting, I could not put it down.

This is the second book in the Savages and Saints series and it can be read as a standalone. As there are characters mentioned from the first book, I recommend reading it as well. Kade is going through a rough time trying to deal with his past and move forward. He winds up at a bar and meets Sophie. She is a broken woman dealing with her own baggage from the past including a psycho-stalker ex. When Kade finds a man harassing Sophie outside the bar, he steps in and they wind up going back to her place. The next morning Sophie is gone and Kade heads home but he cannot stop thinking about her. By a twist of fate or good luck, Sophie shows up back in Kade’s life again. However, Sophie is harboring a huge secret that may put Kade and his family in danger. Will Sophie stay or will she go? This is one action packed story from start to finish. Once I started this book, I was unable to put it down. There is drama, suspense, and twists and turns that will keep the reader’s rapt attention. You just cannot help but fall for these characters, especially Kade’s daughter Lola who is so wise for someone so young. Ms. Seabrook is one of my go to authors and this book is another demonstration of why. I highly recommend you one-click this book and start reading!

Heartbreak, Torment and Love!

This book by C. M. Sea brook is so well written. It will have you laughing, crying and feeling such torment as the main characters Kade and Sophie fulfill their destiny. Kade has just had to identify this estranged wife at the morgue a week before he meets Sophie, a broken young woman with so much heartache, she’’s had to build barriers around her heart just to exist. Something pulls these two together and Kade stays in Sophies room that night where he holds her and breaks his six year famine from sex. He wakes that morning to find Sophie gone but for the next six weeks he dreams of her day and night until he finds she has been rescued from a storm by his sister Quinn when Sophie’s car breaks down. Not only that, but Quinn offers her a job as a waitress at his bar and his apartment above his bar. Thus begins their romantic story that is consumed with so much pain and heartache that you feel your heartbreaking. In between their is lots of love and tenderness, especially his Kade’s young daughter Nola and the rest of his loving family. This was such a wonderful story of two broken hearts helping each other to mend, with the added bonus of lots of steamy sexual chemistry added in for good measure. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to the author’s book, Torment~

C.M Seabrook again has snared me with her web of masterful writing. This book with shatter your soul, break your heart and then put the pieces back together in a way that will have you looking at the world in a completely new way.

Two broken, damage, lonely strangers meet, they connect and then they depart again, going back to their own personal hells. Two people, changed and scared by their pasts, history so painful that it crushes them both.

But what happens when fate brings the two back together again.

After being stranded in her car on the side of the road, Sophie is help by some good ole fashion kindness. After being taken to new location, she lands a new job and a place to live. Things are finally starting to look up, but what happens when she meets her new boss?

Kade is the single father all the ladies want to sink their claws into, but the only female he has any time for is Lola, his tiny, pig-tailed daughter. Kade is living a murky life, trying to do the best he can with what he has. When his new employee/renter turns out to be the woman he had his one nightstand with months ago, he thinks the worst of her.

What Kade is not prepared for is the Gravity two seem to have going. This book is going to tear into, leave you raw for a while and then come back and soothes you with a happily ever after.
