While I can safely call myself a fan of the series at this point, the stories in this particular collection were just a bit too all over the place, without any theme or direction. I think it’s the success of the anime (which was airing while this volume was being written), and the author’s involvement in its production that ultimately made this book ring a bit hollow. I still enjoyed it, just not as much as previous books. Either way, now that I’m caught up on all of the officially translated volumes, I will be eagerly looking forward to the release of the next one, and hoping for a second season of anime.

The volume was filled with many things that didn't seem to be tied to anything
Another bad thing was the fanservice (again and even louder). Forcing the Iruru's character to meet a boy and filling the chapter with sensual scenes that didn't really incite anything but discomfort.

Another great comedic volume. Only slight nudity in this volume however it is Ilulu so it made me very happy. Lots of character development in the way of more details about the time before meeting Kobayashi. I like this part because it drives at the paradoxical nature of “good vs evil” “harmony vs chaos” and where we find ourselves for our time in this life; make your own choices, or follow the “destiny” your family desires for you.

I seriously love the authors afterward because it’s very well written and in comic form still. Makes the content feel more authentic because we read into how the author felt creating certain things.

(Looking at these reviews and people had no idea there was loli stuff. Hey at least Khanna is never naked or super sexualized. But however, THEY ARE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS AND ARE NOT REAL 😂)

Good continuation, not much really happened in most of this volume, the end you get a decent amount of backstory with Tohru.

I decided to read the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid manga because I was curious to compare it to the two seasons of the anime—which I liked a lot despite being uncomfortable with the way Lucoa sexually harasses an elementary school student—and I was a bit surprised to find that, unlike the other anime where I've read the manga or light novel source material, that the events are fairly scrambled. Things tend to happen in fairly different orders in the anime and the manga, and some events in the anime seem to have been created for the anime, while some bits of the manga are left out of or changed in the anime. Honestly, I think I prefer the anime, but it's interesting to see the source material, too. Hopefully the movie that came out in theatres this year will come out for home viewing, too, soon.

Backstories

We get to see more character development than the actual blurb for this volume let's on. Everyone gets a bit of development and it goes very well with who you think that they are and who they should be.

I can still do without the nudity and the hints of pedophilia because its getting really close with some scenes and I don't want to have to morally stop reading a good series just because the author is terrible. I'm getting really close to quitting if it gets too far for my standards though.

I hope that, with volume 7 we get to see what happened with Kanna's parents but I have at least 18 days until the library let's me reccomend anymore books for them to buy 😭

Some interesting things from the past get revealed.

I thought this volume was good. I liked going back to look at at Tohru before she met Kobayashi. Her father is super creepy though. So are some of the other minor characters, like the CEO. So anyway, I'm enjoying this fun little romp through the life of your not-so-average OL. This is one of those series that is silly, doesn't take itself seriously, & the point is just to have fun. Good times. That's what's happening. Art, fitting for the story & characters. Dialogue, fairly good. Characters, likeable, & in some cases, adorable.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid has actually progressed a decent amount! There was some interesting character development in this one— and the gags are always a joy. I really like the flat humor in it, it always get a little snort out of me. We also get to see a decent glimpse into Tohru’s past in this volume, a very welcomed plot and character relationship development point.
This is definitely a good little manga to read when I’m in a good mood. It keeps my mood pretty level with its gags and occasional cuteness.

Finalmente la storia prosegue, ne sono molto felice! Verso il quarto volume ero tentata di abbandonarlo perché, opinione personale, gli episodi così fini a sé stessi dopo un po' stancano. Soprattutto considerato che nei primi volumi è praticamente un susseguirsi di arrivi, con personaggi tratteggiati come se avessero una sola caratteristica a definirne la personalità. Negli ultimi due volumi ci sono stati sviluppi seri sia per quanto riguarda i personaggi sia per la trama. Speriamo continui in questa direzione!

This one is... better with the creepy underage thing (clarifying that Ilulu is 'sixteen') but it still doesn't excuse the fact that Ilulu doesn't wear a damn bra. I don't care if those are supposed to be fire pouches. Not only that, the right bra will provide good support and fix the back ache problem. I don't condone fanservice without logic.

But, this one was significantly more entertaining, for me anyway.

Mejor que los últimos tomos, este volvió bastante a la esencia de lo que lo hacía genial: las relaciones entre personajes super cutes sin tanto echi. Que lo hay, pero mucho más rebajado el tono.
Más backstory sobre el mundo de los dragones y llegamos a ver a Toru y Kana bebés. Adorable.
Fafnir y Takiya tienen un cap para ellos, que me encantó.
En general me dejó con buen humor.

This volume finds Ilulu getting a job and learning more about the back story of what brought Tohru to our world. For the most part, it feels like most of the big storylines have been tackled here in the 6th volume that was animated in the first two seasons of the series. There might be a few more but moving forward the series should be a bit of a surprise in terms of what it has intstor.

More history, more character development, more chaos for Kobayashi. This volume finally explains why there are factions amongst dragons and their desires. Finding out that the Lord of Demise may not actually be an entity of pure evil was actually interesting. Ilulu getting a job that fits her character is nice however the fan service is gross as usual. Overall a good volume for the series.

While I feel like a lot was packed into this volume, it was still an enjoyable read.
Ilulu (or Iruru) got a job and I’m sure is going to have an interesting dynamic with the boy she met. There was also a cute moment of Kobayashi being put into a maid outfit, and learning about Tohru’s backstory.
