I literally hate this movie but this book was actually really REALLY good, the pacing problem from the movie was fixed which is great, and the ending in this one doesn’t feel as bitter sweet, definitely worth the read.

Haha, this was such a fun read. I love Pirates, and I love manga, so put them together, and what do you get? An entertaining story!

The art isn't the best, but it's definitely charming. And I got to see James as a manga character. Makes me sad that his death affected Elizabeth a little more here than in the actual film.

Anyway, I would have liked to see it more true to the film, in terms of characters' emotions. For example, there is a scene between Will and Elizabeth about "the burden to bear." In the movie, their interaction is strained because as we all know, Will is losing Elizabeth as he steps closer to his father. The manga makes it more lighthearted, and it kind of takes away from Will's conflict.

I appreciate the differences in dialogue, though I've watched this movie so many times that I found myself quoting the actual script. XD

I do so love pirates and Pirates of the Caribbean. This manga faithfully follows the movies with little to no deviation. However, the art and style of this manga match the vibes almost perfectly as well.

I got this one as a digital Manga so I could show students how to read a manga and point out things to look for as a class since it was a familiar story and familiar characters.

Highly entertaining! I think anyone would enjoy this high seas piratey adaptation to the manga form!
