Flawed Machines

Rate this book
It's been five years since Osmond Diaz returned to Chun from his seemingly endless journey abroad. Now, Osmond and Andres, his exceptionally unique research assistant, must find a new purpose in their work as their long-held project has finally come to an end.

While familiarizing with his vibrant city, trouble ensues from an eerie tech-infused cult, the Mounean Order. As the pieces begin to connect, this group appears to be trailing every step Osmond and Andres take.

What the Mounean Order intends to do when they catch up with Osmond and Andres is nothing short of a mystery, so the two may need help from friends and acquaintances that Osmond hasn't spoken with in years. The question remains, "What do they truly want?"

--

Flawed Machines is a beautiful creation of a Frankenstein tale influenced by Asimov's brilliantly contemplative, robotic scenery.

“It is undesirable to believe a proposition when there is no ground whatever for supposing it true” – Bertrand Russell
.
This work is a reflection of author's life. I found the entire journey of this book a bit overwhelming. The story is about Osmond and Andres, where Andreas is his research assistant, who must find a new purpose in their work as their project has finally come to an end.
.
As the dots begin to join, the story happens to be moving towards every action Osmond and Andres make. The only question that matters after all is; What do they truly want?
.
Tyler Copeland has experience in vast fields of work and study. This book is in-fact his debut novel, although he has written some short stories and flash fiction on his blog.
The author also has passion for philosophical novels.
.
Fun fact - Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, The Portrait of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, and Isaac Asimov's The End of Eternity are the stories that majorly influenced the writer for this book! And Frankenstein also happens to be one of my all time favourite books.
