Samantha Chase is a New York Times and USA Today bestseller of contemporary romance that’s hotter than sweet, sweeter than hot. She released her debut novel in 2011 and currently has more than seventy titles under her belt – including THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE which was a Hallmark Christmas movie in 2017! She’s a Disney enthusiast who still happily listens to 80’s rock. When she’s not working on a new story, she spends her time reading romances, playing way too many games of Solitaire on Facebook, wearing a tiara while playing with her sassy pug Maylene…oh, and spending time with her husband of 30 years and their two sons in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
Exclusive is all about a worldwide famous mystery writer who managed to keep his identity unknown but now wants to be interviewed by Taylor. The magazine where she works got a contract detailing how she would have to go to his place for two whole weeks to do the interview. But when she gets there, it’s not the mysterious Jonathan Wade she finds, it’s Mike, her long lost friend who’s also the author’s assistant.
A Touch of Heaven features Regan and Sawyer. Regan’s mother won a home makeover which is something that Regan is not really happy about because it’s just one more thing helping her mother sell her childhood home. She hates losing that house and hates even more the man changing it, Sawyer Bennet.
Exclusive is about a struggling NYC based magazine writer, Taylor, who is given a once in a life time opportunity interview an illusive author who has never been photographed or interviewed before. But Taylor doesn’t realize that the author’s assistant is someone from her past.
Both characters have their flaws, making them read genuine. The mystery was predictable but man I just couldn’t wait for it to get there.
A Touch of Heaven is about a young, successful woman, Regan, who is having a really hard time dealing with her widowed mother finally selling their family home. When her mother goes to the home store she is picked by a host of a reality home show to have her home renovated. Regan didn’t want the home redone and she didn’t want to find the designer and star of the show to be so hot. Sawyer, the star of the show, just must convince Regan that he worth the risk.
Sweet and endearing, this has likeable characters and explosive chemistry.
Two marvelous romance and one hot read.
I received this ARC copy of Exclusive/A Touch of Heaven from SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca. This is my honest and voluntary review. Exclusive/A Touch of Heaven is set for publication November 6, 2018.
You really can't go wrong with a Samantha Chase book so this one with two of her stories is a sure winner. I read both of these stories several years ago and just re read each of them enjoying them as much the second time as I did the first. This book is a great one to grab and relax with for the perfect escape. I highly recommend it.
Exclusive - Fantastic read with some amazing characters and an intriguing storyline. Author does a great job of keeping the mystery going until the perfect time.
A Touch of Heaven - Fun sweet love story -two actually- about people who knew they were missing something in their life but not sure what. Light, sexy, and fun!
Mike is just so sensible at times, “I guess, then, we just need to try our best to be a little more aware of where we are when we get… the urge… to do that again. Okay?” She nodded. “Good. Let’s agree then that what just happened isn’t a bad thing and we’ll continue it later.” Taylor blushed..." Often times Mike finds his girl more important than other things, "it can wait,” he growled as he kicked off his jeans and dove under the sheets with her." I liked this book, I fell in love with Mike.
A TOUCH OF HEAVEN:
Sawyer is sometimes an impatient man, “it’s about damn time you got here,” he muttered before covering her mouth with his." Sometimes a girl just wants to have things done easy, “what can I say… you exhausted me and now I need food but don’t have the energy to cook.” I liked this book, I loved Sawyer.
Life has one theme: "Expect the unexpected". Samantha Chase takes that adage and turns it into heartwarming, heartbreaking and inspiring tales of family, love and courage. Whether finding a second chance with first love, facing loss head on or finding a soulmate, there is realism in every hint of fantasy. Exclusive spells the beginning of a second chance for long lost friends. A Touch of Heaven is a reminder that letting go of the past can lead to new memories for the future. No matter the circumstance, despite the odds, our hearts never forget. Characters like Regan, Mike, Sawyer and Taylor speak to what makes us human. The heart.
This is two, count them two heartwarming, sweetly sexy and emotionally thrilling romantic journeys for the price of one.... Loved all the witty banter and engaging charters.
Each story in this set is so uplifting and romantic they are filled with passion, longing and lots of personal growth... I could not get enough of this writers story telling style. Highly entertaining reading.

Exclusive ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You know a book is great when your belly gets the flutters… well I didn’t get one, I had many. This story took a little while to capture me, but when it did, I sat in one afternoon to finish it. It’s as sweet as it is hot, and gritty as it is emotional.
Journalists Taylor Scott has the opportunity of a lifetime to interview reclusive author Jonathan Wade. The man is an enigma but no one knows he he is… so when she is hand picked to go to his farm and write a full review outing him to the world, Taylor can’t decide whether to be excited or sick.

A Touch Of Heaven ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟
So very sweet. So very hot! So very don’t want it to end!
This was kind of fun and quirky, like your Backyard Blitz tv shows, Sawyer Bennett, hosts and designs (kinda like Jamie Durie in all is Holy hotness), and he’s about to walk into a new one, except he has a mother who entered and won the competition and a daughter who is less then thrilled.
Regan Amerson cannot believe her mother has thrown the whole house sale thing in the air winning a home renovation. All she wanted was some paint and a sale – now Regan has designers, builders and camera crew. But it is host Sawyer who takes her breath and irritates her all at once. She does not to be hot and bothered by him, but sadly it wasn’t just one sided and Sawyer has ever intention of claiming this woman for himself.
What starts as a tv show turns to real life for both Regan and her mother Caroline, and it is Sawyer and his father Max, who steal their hearts. Like all stories and TV it won’t be without drama, lies and threats. Happy ever after are always good, but add drama, steaming chemistry, and high maintenance characters, and you’ve got one hell of a story.
EXCLUSIVE/A TOUCH OF HEAVEN offers two previously released Samantha Chase stories, now re-edited and re-released in one book. As is expected with Samantha Chase, both offer a fun story that grabs you right from the beginning and holds your interest with great characters and lots of romance all the way through to the end.
EXCLUSIVE is the story of Taylor Scott, a rookie reporter for a small magazine. She is inexplicably offered the story of her life when super reclusive best-selling author Jonathon Wade offers to give his first-ever interview to Taylor. Before meeting the mysterious Mr. Wade, however, Taylor must work with his assistant who turns out to be, to Taylor’s surprise, someone she knows. Mike Greene had been the best friend of Taylor’s ex-boyfriend, but Taylor never knew that Mike had been in love with Taylor way back when and would like nothing more than to have a relationship with her now. Taylor finds herself getting involved with Mike, who has changed a lot since working for Mr. Wade, but she is also getting excited for Mr. Wade to show up so that she can get on with her career changing interview.
A TOUCH OF HEAVEN is the story of Regen Amerson and her mother Caroline who own a day spa together. When Caroline decides it is time to sell the family home, she is approached by the star of a home-improvement show who wants to renovate her home for his show. Caroline thinks it’s a great idea but Regen is not happy because she thinks it will destroy the home she grew up in and the memories of her father that she still has there. What neither Regen nor Caroline counted on is that they would be so attracted to the stars of the show, father and son team Max and Sawyer Bennett.
Both stories, while somewhat predictable, are filled with well-written characters and witty dialog. The story lines are well-developed for short novels, and each one can easily be read in one sitting. While not necessarily a negative thing, I found the sex-scenes in A TOUCH OF HEAVEN to be far more explicit than I’ve come to expect from a Samantha Chase novel. She usually leaves the intimate details behind the door and in the reader’s imagination. On the other hand, the sex scenes in EXCLUSIVE were far less explicit, but if this couple truly had as much sex as was suggested in the book, they should have both been dead by the last page!!
A fun read for a rainy weekend. Four stars for Ms. Chase.
I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
5 Stars Review by Elizabeth Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog
Do you have that one unicorn author that you automatically one-click? Well, for me, Samantha Chase is my unicorn author. I have been a fan of hers for a long time now and her new release, Exclusive/A Touch of Heaven, is downright outstanding!
In Exclusive we meet Taylor, a journalist that is just starting out her career. Taylor is offered her biggest interview to date with the popular recluse author, Jonathan Wade. Jonathan Wade takes pride in his privacy, so much pride that there are very few people who know what he looks like. When he decides to come out into the limelight of the public eye, his only requirement is Taylor must do the interview herself.
When Taylor arrives in Maine she is met with Mr. Greene, Jonathan Wade’s assistant. As it turns out, Taylor already knows Mr. Greene as they were friend’s years ago. Right off the bat, you can tell Taylor and Mike are attracted to one another. The chemistry from all those years ago is still present and introduces a whole new level to the interview itself.
I instantly fell in love with both Taylor and Mike. The way Samantha has written their story is remarkable. There is not much I can say about Exclusive without giving the book away in its entirety. I can say that you can find what you are not looking for in the most amazing ways. Exclusive will have you hooked from page one and when it's over, you'll be craving more.
In A Touch of Heaven, we meet Regan and Sawyer. Regan’s mother, Caroline, is selling her home and Regan is having a tough time coming to terms with it. When Caroline unintentionally wins a home makeover, Regan is anything but thrilled. Throw in Sawyer, the designer and contractor, and you have yourself one hot mess.
I was blown away by the chemistry between Regan and Sawyer. Of course, Regan does her best to fight it but Sawyer understands her more than she cares to admit. I cannot tell you how many times Regan made me laugh with her wit. Not to mention one scene that is just hilarious. There are so many things I can go on about, however I refuse to give spoilers.
The bottom line is this, you will LOVE every aspect of both Exclusive/A Touch of Heaven. They both have amazing characters and a dialog you will love. Samantha has this way to hook you with her words and believe me, you will be hooked.
In Exclusive, journalist Taylor Scott gets the story of a lifetime when she is assigned to write an article about the elusive, reclusive novelist, Jonathan Wade. When she arrives at his farm in Maine, she’s surprised to be greeted by Mike Greene, the best friend of her high school boyfriend. They have a chance to get reacquainted, clear up old misunderstandings, and grow closer together.
I loved the premise for this story and thought the hero was great, but I found myself getting annoyed with Taylor's temper tantrums. She ran hot and cold enough to give me whiplash, and she didn’t seem to see a need for apologizing when she was in the wrong. I have little patience with a selfish, entitled main character for two reasons. I think it sends the message that we can treat others however we want but everything will work out in the end, and it always makes me question why the other character would want to be with a person like this. I think if you go into the story anticipating this character flaw you’ll have an enjoyable read because the hero is a terrific guy and the story was compelling and entertaining.
A Touch of Heaven is a story about a mother and daughter, Caroline and Regan, who come to terms with major life changes when Caroline gets an offer to have her house renovated for a reality TV series by a father and son team, Max and Sawyer Bennett. Regan, in particular has a difficult time with changes to her childhood home, although she came to terms with Carolina’s plan to sell the too large home. It doesn’t matter that she's attracted to the hunky host, Sawyer, because she resents what he represents for her family home.
I was a little concerned that this would be a repeat of the heroine's character flaws in Exclusive because Regan came across as selfish and rigid in the beginning. But Sawyer worked his charm and Regan laid down her quills and got with the program, redeeming herself and making me like her in the end, despite the clichéd conflict at the story's climax. I also loved the romance between Caroline and Max, reminding us that love is timeless and new love can find us at any age. I thoroughly enjoyed this lighthearted romance with surprising depth, and I was sad to see the story end.
*I reviewed this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide a review and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source for this review.
I'm a big Samantha Chase fan so I was eager to read this one which includes two different stories. The first centers around a writer being given the ability to interview an author who is extremely private. Of course, the story is a bit more complex than that as it all comes together. The 'mystery' at the heart of this particular story was not difficult to figure out which took away some of the punch of the overall story.
The second story is about a woman whose mother plans to have a reality TV show re-do her childhood home. These circumstances bring together the woman and a member of the show who then finds that they've been missing something ... each other.
Both stories were sweet but I didn't quite connect with each of them. They were solid reads but I didn't love them as much as I have some of her other stories. If you're a Samantha Chase fan, you should pick this one up.
Exclusive This was a fun and quirky story and the overall premise was great even if the characters got on my nerves at times. At least they had some redeeming qualities and with the story so well written it all worked out. Taylor is given the story of her career, the only catch is she will have to spend two weeks in Maine alone with a reclusive author in order to get the story. When she arrives in Maine she is met by a blast from the past, Mike, the friend of her ex-boyfriend and someone who had intrigued her that summer in the past. Watching these two get to know each other again but could they survive the interview?
A Touch of Heaven Fun and sexy and just the right size for an afternoon read. Mom and daughter run a spa and dad and son have a home improvement show and BAM! the two are now intertwined. Mom is selling the family home and wants to spruce it up and while buying paint is approached by a camera crew and told she has won a home improvement. Oh, this does not go over good with her daughter. This was really two romances in one and definitely worth snuggling in on a rainy afternoon to lose myself. I recommend this one!
I absolutely loved both novels. Exclusive was written really well. It had all the feels and it also had me crying and laughing or giggling. I had a feeling what was gonna happen when Jonathan Wade was revealed and how Taylor was gonna take the news. A Touch of Heaven was a fun book to read. it had me giggling as well as shaking my head. The chemistry that Sawyer and Regan had was undeniable. They just had to hide it and act as though they don't know one another. The Show that that Sawyer and his father stared in was making over Regans childhood home and she wasn't to happy about it. She thought that it would take away the memories that we're shared there and did want her mom to sell after the renovation was done.
Exclusive Jonathan Wade is famous for his mysteries and famous for not allowing himself to be interviewed. So it's a shock that Taylor Scott is invited up to do an in-dept interview with man. When she gets up to his house, she's surprised to see her old classmate Mike Green. And she's surprised at their connection... The story of two classmates reconnecting because one is an author and the other is a reporter has been done and been done better. Mike was a jerk and I could not connect with him.
Two Stars
A Touch of Heaven Regan is upset that her mother is selling their family home. Especially when her mother wins a remodel at their local hardware store with a father/son TV duo. Sawyer Bennet is getting a little tired of being on TV. He'd like to go back to just being contractor. Maybe with the perfect woman he can make that a reality.
An okay story. Might have been nicer as a fleshed out story.
EXCLUSIVE - Taylor, a writer for a magazine, is asked to interview a reclusive author who has never been identified by photos or interviews. When she arrives at the author's house for a 2-week interview, she finds out the author's assistant is someone she knew ten years ago. There is a hook and I picked up on it right away, but it was still an enjoyable ride.
A TOUCH OF HEAVEN - Regan, who owns a spa business with her mother, is distressed when her mom decides to sell the family home. To make matters worse, her mother agrees to a home makeover with a reality TV show. Regan is having a hard time with the idea of losing the memories from her family home, and to make matters worse, she is falling for one of the hosts of the show. Another enjoyable story!
I was provided a copy by the publisher and NetGalley in return for an honest review.
Exclusive Exclusive follows Taylor, who is a writer for a magazine in NYC. She is given an amazing opportunity to interview a very private author, Jonathan Wade. This assignment requires her to travel to Jonathan's house in Maine. She meets an old friend, Mike, at Jonathan's house and finds out he is Jonathan's assistant. This book was very predictable and I knew what was happening before it happened for the majority of the story. However, it was an easy and enjoyable read.
A Touch of Heaven A Touch of Heaven is about a daughter, Regan, who is upset with her mother when she decides to sell their family house after her dad passes away. Not only does her mom want to sell the house, but she also got them cast on a home renovation reality show with a father and son duo. Regan wants nothing to do with the show or remodel, but is forced to participate. Neither Regan nor her mom expected to find love during this renovation, but it seems that fate had other plans for them both.
Exclusive When little-known writer Taylor Scott is granted two weeks to interview a famous reclusive author, it's the opportunity of a lifetime. So is the chance to rekindle her friendship with Mike Greene, who happens to be the author's assistant. But as feelings deepen and time winds down, Taylor will have to choose between the story that could launch her career and an unexpected chance at love.
A Touch of Heaven As Regan Amerson makes the emotional decision to sell their family home, her mother wins a home makeover from a reality TV show. Regan is furious, and jaded host Sawyer Bennett isn't thrilled either. That is, until he meets Regan--and finds himself enamored by the fiercely independent beauty. She may want nothing to do with him, but Sawyer isn't one to give up easily.

REVIEW: EXCLUSIVE by Samantha Chase is a contemporary, adult , stand alone romance story line focusing on twenty-eight year olds, author’s assistant Mike Greene, and journalist Taylor Scott.
NOTE: EXCLUSIVE was originally released in July 2014
Told from dual third person perspectives (Mike and Taylor) EXCLUSIVE follows the rekindling relationship and friendship between twenty-eight year olds, author’s assistant Mike Greene, and journalist Taylor Scott. Struggling journalist Taylor Scott gets the opportunity of a lifetime when reclusive best selling author Jonathan Wade requests our heroine for his first-time ever one on one, exclusive interview but all does not go according to plans when Taylor finds herself with the author’s assistant Michael Greene, her high school boyfriend’s former best friend. For one week Michael and Taylor will dance around their attraction to one another as Michael prepares Taylor for her exclusive interview. What ensues is the building romance and love between Taylor and Michael, and the potential fall-out when Taylor discovers Michael’s lies about the who and what of his life.
EXCLUSIVE is a sweet but predictable story of second chances, of a sort, between former friends who have not seen one another for close to ten years. The premise is captivating and charming; the romance is clean, all of the $ex scenes fade to black or are implied; the characters are colorful and charismatic. EXCLUSIVE is an animatd and encouraging tale.
REVIEW: A TOUCH OF HEAVEN by Samantha Chase is a contemporary, adult, stand alone romance story line focusing on carpenter and renovator Sawyer Bennett, and spa owner Regan Amerson.
NOTE: A TOUCH OF HEAVEN was originally released in September 2013
Told from dual third person perspectives (Regan and Sawyer) A TOUCH OF HEAVEN follows the building relationship between carpenter, renovator, and reality TV host Sawyer Bennett, and spa owner Regan Amerson. Regan’s mother Caroline has the opportunity to participate in a reality show to renovate their family home, a home Caroline is hoping to sell, but Regan struggles with the show’s direction as she fears her childhood is slowly buried behind modern update, erasing the memories of her late father. As her mother begins an affair with Sawyer’s father, contractor Max Bennett, Regan and Sawyer keep secret their building friendship and romance fearing repercussions from the show’s producer. What ensues is the building love between Regan and TV host Sawyer Bennett, and the potential fall-out as Sawyer’s lies of omission threaten his relationship with the woman he is growing to love.
A TOUCH OF HEAVEN is a sexy and engaging story line. The character driven premise is emotional; the romance is intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text; the characters are energetic and inspiring. A TOUCH OF HEAVEN is a delightful and playful tale of finding love and happily ever afters.
Exclusive/A Touch of Heaven was two books in one and it was nice to see they were both full length novels. My interest was held from the first page to the last as I got immersed in two lovely romances where love was unexpected and a nice surprise for the characters. I've always enjoyed Ms. Chase's romance books and these two did not disappoint.
Exclusive has friends from long ago meeting up in Maine of all places when New York City journalist, Taylor who's still waiting for her big break gets picked to interview a reclusive author by the author and his staff. No one knows who the author is, where he lives or what he looks like but that's all about to change, or is it? There are lots of conditions to be met but since Taylor's boss is on board, Taylor is too or is she? When she meets up with the author's assistant, Mike, who she knew growing up they still have an attraction - one that they've never really acted on. Since she'll be in Maine for two weeks will they act on it now or keep it on simmer?
There were lots of twists and turns to the story, some predictable. There were beautiful descriptions of the homes, his boat, the towns, the food and the scenery. The longer Taylor is in Maine the more she gets used to some of the finer things that money can buy but she's still a sweetheart at heart. The characters had a depth to them and we get to know them a little at a time. The prologue sets the stage and the epilogue tied up the story nicely. The great reveal of the author could have played out better but I loved the happily-ever-after and how it occurred.
A Touch of Heaven has a close mother and daughter, Caroline and Regan, respectively who are suddenly at odds since they are going to sell her childhood home and Regan hasn't made peace with it. It's also hard that they work together. When Caroline decides to have a reality tv show give their house a makeover, Regan is none too happy. Max and his son, Sawyer are the stars of The Bennett Project, where they go into homes and refurbish them for the owners. The network and director like drama added in but Max and especially Sawyer are against it. Sparks fly between Max and Caroline but also between Sawyer and Regan but they seem to hide their attraction better or do they? As the couples start to spend more time with each other things begin to heat up but what will be the end result? It was fun to watch Sawyer and Regan get closer and know that the other could be "the one" but they have a hard time communicating except between the sheets. But will that all change especially since often times they were unprofessional in their dealings?
There was a sweetness to the story since all the characters seem starved for love and attention. Sawyer knows how to woo a woman and make her dreams come true. There were unexpected happily ever afters as well as loose ends tied up in the epilogue. The ending left me wanting more!
Exclusive & Touch of Heaven were both sweet, quick reads.
Exclusive is the story Taylor and how she is granted the opportunity to interview a famous writer that no one really knows anything about. No one even knows what he looks like so it is quite the scoop. She is not really sure why she was chosen as she works for one of the little guys, but she can't pass up this opportunity. Only she has to go out to the author's house near a small town for two weeks, the first she will just be talking with his assistant and then the second week the author will be back to do the interview.
Now when Taylor shows up at the author's house the assistant is her old friend Mike whom she hasn't seen in forever. He was best friends with her ex who was not a very good guy, but she always liked Mike. Not like that at the time, but now that she is getting to know him again she is crushing on him...only she has a job to do so can she really do anything about it even if he was on board?
Now it was fairly obvious what was going to happen with this story very early on, but it was fun. I liked Mike a lot, though I wish we would have known a bit more about his past and why he is happy hiding out in a small town. He doesn't really want fame and fortune and is happy with where he is which is all good, but it was alluded to that there would be a story there. Like something happened to make him kind of a recluse. Not really as he does get out, but I wanted a bit more. I really liked him though and enjoyed seeing these two reconnect. I didn't always understand Taylor and her rules that seemed to be a bit odd at times, but that could just be me. She was sweet and it was a fun story.
Touch of Heaven is the story of a mother and daughter who are super close and the mom has to sell her home as it is too much for her in her older age. The daughter, Regan, is having a really hard time letting it go as that is where she grew up. When her mom gets signed up for a reality TV show where they makeover your home Regan is not at all happy. Only the guy who is designing the makeover she has an instant attraction to even though she doesn't want to.
Sawyer was a sweetheart. I loved him and his ideas on how to change things. His show is all about not destroying but enhancing what is already there. He has never really felt the need to settle down or anything, but lately, he is getting a bit disillusioned with the show and once he meets Regan he knows she is worth fighting for. Once Regan lets him in these two were so sweet. I really enjoyed watching them fall for each other even if Regan could be frustrating at times (especially towards the end!).
Overall this was a nice collection of quick, sweet stories.

My Thoughts
Each time I read something penned by author Samantha Chase am reminded one more time how much her works make me happier after reading them.
Granted that may not always hold true for the entire book but it does for a good percentage of the read.
Who doesn't like being happy?
Exclusive
Mystery, character issues and unexpected chance at romance follow the plot that makes up the story of Mike and Taylor in Exclusive.
As the young, struggling journalist finds herself making a life changing decision she also finds an inner strength that Taylor had almost forgotten was hers.
Mike is a blast from the past and a time in life Taylor has tried to put behind her. However, he is also the one memory of that time she never wanted to forget.
In a tried and true fashion this short story brings to life people and places that make readers feel at home as well as comfortable throughout it's telling.
A Touch of Heaven
Second offering A Touch of Heaven continues in the same vein, however bringing two strangers together this time who find themselves butting heads from the get-go until undeniable attraction wins out instead!
Regan Amerson is in business with her widowed Mom and sparks fly between the two on a regular basis as both are strong-willed. However there is no doubt that Regan feels blindsided when her mother lets her know that their family home is going to be put on the market and sold.
The very thought of losing a place where so many precious memories of her life fill the rooms, Regan reacts with anger and pain which is in no way alleviated by the news that her Mom had won a home makeover.
Upon meeting the father/son team who will heading the renovation those feelings are transferred to reality TV show host Sawyer Bennett.
Sawyer Bennett is just as upset as Regan when his Dad tells him about their newest project. At least he is until meeting the Amerson ladies in person, particularly Regan, upon which his feelings of animosity over the makeover change to determination to win the younger Amerson over.
A Touch of Heaven has many ups and downs for both the characters as well as it's reader.
I’ve been a reader of Samantha Chase’s work for quite a while now. She always delivers a good story with believable characters. And when we get a double title book upon occasion I’m thrilled. This time round Exclusive and A Touch of Heaven are bundled together. I will mention that both titles were previously published.
Exclusive brings a huge opportunity for up and coming reporter Taylor Scott. An interview with the reclusive author that no one has seen and who has, up to now, kept himself firmly away from the public’s eye. Taylor will be working closely with the author’s assistant – who just happens to be an old friend who she’s been out of touch with for a while. More than the story, and more than friendship will begin to bloom between Mike and Taylor. Now comes the decision of a lifetime for Taylor – which is more important, the exclusive story of her career or the chance at a lifetime love.
I quite enjoyed myself with Mike and Taylor’s romance. Full of laugh out loud moments, a new romance filled with tender affection and steamy moments. I was definitely waiting for Taylor to make the right choice.
A Touch of Heaven is full of changes in life, a bit of irony and the possibility of a forever love from the ashes of change. Regan made the decision to sell her family home. It wasn’t an easy one, but once made she stuck to her decision. Until her mother wins a home makeover. Talk about a monkey wrench tossed into her plans. Now she’s wrapped up in a reality show with a host she cannot stand. Sawyer isn’t thrilled at the events either but getting to know the real Regan is intriguing. When the dust settles does love have a chance?
Sawyer and Regan’s story made me giggle and roll my eyes more than once – in a good way. A Touch of Heaven proves that life happens, the right for you person can be anyone, even someone who annoys you, at times. Watching this romance unfold was enjoyable, I love a heroine with a touch of sass.
In all, I had fun with Exclusive / A Touch of Heaven. And if you love Romance, tender moments, laughing out loud, and a steamy encounter as well, then you’ll love this one.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Wow! Samantha Chase is an exceptionally gifted writer. Samantha Chase has an ear for dialogue. She always creates enduring hereos. Samantha Chase gives life to romance.
Samantha Chase gives us two sweet and heartwarming stories in one great book.
Exclusive is a sweet and heartwarming story about second chances. I love second chance love stories. For Mike Greene, Taylor Scott wasn't just the one who got away but she was also forbidden fruit because she was his best friends girl. Taylor and Mike are perfect together. The chemistry they have is undeniable. I must admit I felt a lot of heartswooning moments. Exclusive is a very unique read for me. You not only get the second chance love trope but you also get the friends to lovers trope. Mike and Taylor were friends in high school. When Taylor and Mike reconnect it is just so natural flowing for them. It's as if they never parted ways. Exclusive was very enchanting. I was sorry to see the story end. I enjoyed reading this book.
In A Touch of Heaven we get another amazing read from the gifted Samantha Chase. I must say I just adored A Touch of Heaven. A Touch of Heaven was different than other books due to the fact it wasn't just a romance book. You get the romance aspect but you also got to read the mother/daughter aspect also. I felt so many emotions reading this book. My heart swooned and I even found myself feeling sad and giddy. One of my favorite lines was from Caroline when she said "For crying out loud, Regan, I'm your mother. You don't have anything I haven't seen before." "It wouldn't kill you to invest in some good underwear you know." That had me cracking up laughing. I just adored Caroline and Regan's relationship and their banter. I loved how Caroline even got the chance at love with Max Bennett. Regan Amerson does not like Sawyer Bennett in the beginning. I loved Sawyer and Regan. I really loved Caroline. I just loved all the banter and angst and struggles. Most of all my heart just broke for Regan and her struggles to find peace with her mom wanting to sell the home she grew up in. I laughed and cried and felt heartswooning moments. A Touch of Heaven was an exploration of many themes from romance to starting over to friendship. A Touch of Heaven is very addictive and awe-inspiring. The characters leap off the page. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Samantha Chase should be applauded for such an exquisite story.
Samantha Chase, a master at writing romance novels, delivers two sweet love stories, Exclusive and A Touch of Heaven, where the lies and hidden facts can greatly affect the love relationship between two deserving people.
Exclusive is a sweet story that allows two former friends a sort of second chance after not seeing one another for close to ten years. Struggling journalist Taylor Scott is given the opportunity of a lifetime when reclusive best-selling author Jonathan Wade requests she be assigned to his first-time ever one on one, exclusive interview. When Taylor finds herself with the author’s assistant, Michael Greene, her high school boyfriend’s former best friend all does not go according to plans. For one week Michael and Taylor deal with their attraction to one another as Michael prepares Taylor for her exclusive interview. As these two spend time together, getting reacquainted, feeling grow, a romance begins, and emotions are tense. When Taylor discovers Michael’s lies and omissions, she will have to choose between the publishing the story that could launch her career and an unexpected chance at love.
A Touch of Heaven follows the budding relationship between carpenter, renovator, and reality TV host Sawyer Bennett, and spa owner Regan Amerson. Regan’s mother Caroline has the opportunity to participate in a reality show to renovate their family home, a home Caroline is hoping to sell. However, Regan struggles with the show’s direction as she fears her childhood is slowly being buried behind a modern update, erasing the memories of her late father. As her mother begins an affair with Sawyer’s father, contractor Max Bennett, Regan and Sawyer keep secret the beginning of their friendship and romance, fearing repercussions from the show’s producer. As love grows between Regan and Sawyer, there is a potential fall-out as Sawyer’s lies of omission threaten his relationship with the woman he is growing to love.
Ms. Chase wrote two delightful stories; filled with sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters. These stories were wonderful from start to finished, with an amazing HEA. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This book contains two Samantha Chase novels. The first, Exclusive is about a journalist, Taylor Scott who gets the opportunity to interview a star, reclusive author, but instead finds her way back to her old friend Mike Greene. This story was almost like waiting for a train wreck. You know from the start what is going to happen and spend the time wondering how badly it’s going to end. I loved the characters in this story! Taylor is all about her job and being professional and I could completely sympathize with her and relate to her. Then there’s Mike Green who seems to be the embodiment of every woman’s fantasy- physical and intellectual and trying to give Taylor everything she wants. The setting is also amazing! Who wouldn’t want a gorgeous fairytale home in the country and a boat at the shore. The one thing that bugged me was that a 55’ boat was described as a yacht needing a crew. Maybe Ms, Chase isn’t a boater, but that needs to be at least 10-20 feet longer to need a crew and be impressive! The pacing of the story was fast, but it made sense as the characters had been involved before. It truly was an enjoyable second chance romance with a lovely ending! The second story in this book was A Touch if Heaven which has Regan Amerson and her mom winning a home makeover with a hot TV show. Who knew they would both fall for the father son team who comes to complete the renovation. This was a super cute romance that just felt natural and was very feel-good. I liked how the mother daughter relationship was very realistic with them squabbling and not always seeing eye to eye and yet loving each other undoubtedly. I also liked how the drama was kept to a minimum and care from an outside force. Once again, the hero in this story is every woman’s fantasy! Ms. Chase does a great job portraying her hero’s as loving and wonderful, but not perfect! I really liked the ending of this story, though the pace was a little fast for me! I also noticed that the two stories hit the mark on a balance between hot and steamy. Thank you to Ms. Chase, the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
Two romances in one duo. These stories are not in the same book world or with the same characters, but they both tie in together beautifully to show how romance can grow, people can change and life is quirky.
Exclusive A romance with a bit of intrigue, backstory, laughter and drama...yes please! I feel as though I got the twist to the story fairly quickly, and realized the concern the individual in the prologue showed, but I still enjoyed the story and how it was delivered through these characters. Per usual S.C. created a vivid world that I would love to see. The house, barn and land just seems to be ideal for relaxing.
Both characters come with some baggage, but not so much that they can’t find a way to meet in the middle. I don’t quite understand the recluse component, but I did think it was a fun part to the story. Overall a fun and quick read with characters who created a lovely romantic and intriguing story!
Side note- I cheered for Taylor when she stood up for herself, both times, at the very end of the book! Talk about inner strength and karma😁
A Touch of Heaven The title of the book and the company name is a fun tie in, but I just keep going back to the glittery shirt 🙈 😹
This is a great read where we get two romances at once. I was worried at the beginning bc I did not immediately connect with the mom or the mom/daughter relationship....but then I fell in love with the story and their growth and healing as the renovation and relationships progressed. The two romances show how love and trust can occur at any time and definitely when we least expect it. I also have to say I wanted to slap a certain villainous character, but applaud SC for how much I did not like him! A fun and quick read with some lovely moments, steamy escapades and beautiful family dynamics.
I enjoyed both of these stories and would recommend both. SC constantly creates stories that captures my attention and emotions. These stories had me laughing, tearing up, getting irritated and cheering. Beautifully told and fun to read❤️
Thanks NetGalley, Sourcebooks Casablanca, and Samantha Chase for the chance to read these stories and share my opinions!
Very enjoyable and well written duo complete with wonderful characters and happily ever afters.
Exclusive
I really liked this story not just because it was different but I also loved the characters so much. Mike and Taylor knew each other 10 years ago when she was dating his friend. He’s never been able to forget her. He knows she is a journalist now so he puts a request in with her boss for her to come to Maine to do an exclusive interview with his boss, reclusive author Jonathan Wade, on his farm. Taylor is thrilled to get the opportunity to interview Jonathan Wade although a tad nervous to go up to Maine alone. She can't believe when she gets there and Mike is the assistant who will show her around and take care of preliminaries until Mr. Wade returns from a trip. They have chemistry that is obvious and Mike hopes to get to know her again while she is there but that is simply an understatement. He has never forgotten her and always wanted her and is hoping the feeling is mutual. Can they get over the hurdles thrown at them by the unusual situation they find themselves in and find a HEA together? This is a fast read but very enjoyable and sweet.
A Touch of Heaven
Loved the concept of this story too! It is also another quickie but such a good story. Again it was a little bit different and that’s a good thing in my opinion. Regan’s mother Caroline meets Max in the hardware store when she was there buying paint to spruce up their home before selling it. Max and his son Sawyer have a reality home improvement show on TV and Max tosses the idea out to Caroline. Regan is hung up on not really making many changes to her family home because it is the way her father loved it. She is dead set against doing this show. She just wants to continue to run her spa and not get involved in this. Sawyer and Rgan have definite chemistry from the get-go which is pretty difficult to ignore. I love the dynamic between Sawyer and Regan as well as Max and Caroline. Love the way things turn out for all of them and what transpires is exactly what I was hoping would happen.
What is better than a Samantha Chase romance??? Why two of them in the same book, of course! Samantha writes wonderful, often humorous, but always sweet and sexy romances and these two are no exception.
Exclusive: Taylor is writer for a news magazine and is looking for a story that will launch her career into the stratosphere. When the opportunity presents itself to interview a reclusive author, she is hesitant but decided to take a chance. This opportunity allows her to re-connect unexpectedly with a friend from her past and sparks fly! Mike may not be all he seems to be and when secrets are revealed, all may be lost. Taylor has to decide between her heart and her career... what will it be?
A Touch of Heaven: Sawyer and his dad, Max are reality show hosts who remodel homes and they are given the task of fixing up Caroline's home to get it ready to sell. Reagan (Caroline's daughter) is against making any changes as it is the home she grew up in and holds many memories of her dad. This reluctance to get on board with the project causes friction between Reagan and her mom and with Sawyer and Max.
Sawyer is attracted to Reagan and does his best to wear down her resistance to the changes all the while fighting his feelings. He has never been in love and is not sure how to handle the way he is feeling towards her. Reagan feels the chemistry too but can't get past his job of changing her childhood home.
Max and Caroline are fighting their own attraction as well and this adds some humor to the story-line. When the director of the show wants to play off the tension in order to get ratings, Sawyer digs in his heels. But the damage may be already done when Reagan gets wind of the plan.
I loved the dynamics between mom and daughter and father and son. The two romances are sweet but sexy as only Samantha can do. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it for a quick fun read.
Exclusive Taylor is a journalist who just got a offered the biggest story of her career. Not sure why they picked her but not wanting to turn it down either. Mike has not seen Taylor in years, but has not been able to stop thinking of her. When she shows up as the journalist to write the article about his boss, things start to quickly heat up. I love this story!! The storyline and characters just held me captive. I actually read this story several years ago, and even reading it a second time was wonderful. There was even a part towards the end that was so romantic that it has stuck with me ever since reading it the first time, and gave me butterflies all over aging reading it this time around as well. It is definitely in my top ten most romantic touching scenes.
A Touch of Heaven Regan owns a massage parlor with her mom Caroline. When her mom tells her they have won a home makeover from a tv show, Regan is skeptical and not happy about it. Not wanting to change anything or sell her childhood home. However Regan has no idea how much this makeover will change not only her home but her life. Sawyer is the host of the makeover show about to work on Caroline and Regan’s house. He was feeling at a crossroads, but was attracted to Regan from the moment he saw her. This story was so good, I am not sure how I haven’t read it before now. I loved the characters and the storyline was different than any other books I have read. There is even a secondary romance going on as well with two of the other characters. A Touch of Heaven definitely had my attention, I could not put it down. It also had all the feels, I found myself very engaged with my feelings as I read along. It was a great story I highly recommend!!
This was one awesome book with two Amazing Stories. Both with lots of feelings and lots of romance. You do not want to miss this dynamic duo!
Samantha Chase is a go-to author for me. I know that when I pick up her book I’ll lose myself in her words, find a setting that I can’t wait to visit and hate to have to leave, meet characters that I want to make friends with, and read a story that I can’t put down. This book was a bonus for me. Two stories in one magnificent book. As I finished each one I thought oh, yes this one will be my favorite. Exclusive was a great once upon a time friends to lovers story while A Touch of Heaven is a look at how life changes can open up new adventures and bring a new love to your life.
Exclusive is the first story in the book and it is perfect. A once bad boy now has turned his life around and has never forgotten a girl from his past. The twists and turns of Mike and his illusive boss were not as much of a surprise to me as how deep Mike’s feelings were for Taylor after all these years. I could see how this story would come together and loved watching both Mike and Taylor come to grips on their feelings, their lives, and their priorities while making decisions that affected their careers, their hearts, and each other.
A Touch of Heaven is a story showing how Regan is struggling with her mother’s decision to remodel and sell her childhood home. While the mother takes Regan’s concerns into her thoughts while making decisions I liked that the mother did what she knew was right but didn’t push Regan’s concerns away. She addressed them, gave them the weight they deserved, and explained her reasoning as to why she had to continue on the path she did. The contractors who did the job were perfect. Cute, fun, and professional as they took a family home and showed the ladies the potential it held.
This is a great two story book. I liked that they were both stand alone books.
