The 2 year old picked this up at the library (because he recognized Cookie Monster, his favorite!) Very sweet and lovely. You can't really go wrong with Sesame Street.

This was a cute book that would be great for a Sesame Street day but also just a story time with a theme of love. Having just read Love, Z by Jessie Sima I would pair the two of these together for a "love" themed story time, especially with Valentines day coming up these would be a great way to fit the holiday without being so valentines related you couldn't read them other times.

It's kind of walking the line of one of my pet peeves: it does use pictures that go with the text - Cookie Monster and Oscar, for example - but it never actually mentions the characters depicted. So it comes very, very close to using licensed characters to help a book sell without actually having to write a "Sesame Street" story.

It is a very cute idea, though. It's nice for kids to learn that love can look a lot of different ways, and that doesn't necessarily make them wrong.

A cute book with beautiful illustrations (they were my favorite part). Even thought it’s written in simple text for children to understand (which is great!), I do have to be a bit critical at some of their definitions of love, though.
One Example: “Love is building something together”. I feel that a better word to describe this would be “teamwork” instead of “love”.
I did love the last page “Love is everywhere and all around us”. 🙂

Great examples of what love is for the littles

Both me and my preschooler loved this picture book. Following from the examples, she even made her own additional silly "love is..." quotes. It's her new favorite Sesame Street book. Picturess are so bright and engaging, she could not get enough. I personally think the book is too short. It could use additional silly but preschooler-friendly "love is.." lines.

Each spread, starring a beloved Sesame Street character, features a different description or way to express love. Perfect for adults that love to read in different voices--especially adults that have perfected those from Sesame Street (whether by choice or through force).

I love the marker-esque drawings on each page, and I love how many Sesame Street friends are depicted in this book. The series of "love is" examples are a bit abstract, so the text might require discussion: "how does this text relate to the character on this page? What is an example of when love means accepting life even when it is messy?"

This was a very colorful and cute children's book featuring favorite characters from the television program Sesame Street.

I didn't fell like there was any hidden agendas being pushed in the book.

This book is all about love and what love it and what it looks like. It is a cute book for little kids. The Sesame Street characters talk about what love is. It is loving your self, or being a super hero. This is a great book to talk about confidence and love with children.

Heather really liked this one as well! Sweet drawings, and while it may not be a completely sound definition of love from a philosophical standpoint, it's just fine for children. It's just a happy little book.

Sesame Street holds a special place in my childhood and also in my children’s lives. I loved the simple phrases that showcased many types of love by iconic characters. I need to add this one to my seasonal library.

Great for a kid that loves naming the letters and numbers on the pages. He isn't familiar with any of the Sesame Street characters but liked this book a lot.
