Rate this book
Michael Rannigan is running rogue. Since Maggie's abrupt departure from the law firm of Murphy, Rannigan, & Metheny, he's been in a tailspin. As he limps along in the new normal, he misses her more than he ever imagined. Maggie misses Michael as well. But she makes the best of her new job at the District Attorney's office. Occasionally they cross paths in court, each assessing the other. Like Michael, she finds herself making questionable personal choices. When opportunity knocks for Michael he leaps at it, maybe as much to avoid Maggie's absence as anything else. The fact that his decision impacts everyone else at the firm doesn't slow him down at all. Then comes news that shakes him to his core. Now that he's burned all his bridges, who will be there to help him pick up the pieces?

Pandora Spocks is a sassy ginger and hopeless romantic, living her happily ever after in South Florida.

Pandora has had stories pinballing around in her head for years. At one point, she spent hours daydreaming in Mrs. Howe's ninth grade algebra class. She didn't learn much algebra, but she had some really good ideas. Recently she decided to try her hand at sharing those stories with others.

She enjoys reading and writing literary erotic romance, and believes there should be more gingers in erotica. She is the author of the three-novel epic romance Rannigan’s Redemption, and a naughty little romantic novella, Just One Night. The Dream Dominant Collection, a series of light BDSM stand-alone novels, includes Luke & Bella, Lost & Bound, and For Sparrow.

Pandora is currently at work on her next spicy romance.

I am going to endeavor not to ruin the book for anyone while giving the low down on what’s new in Mary Margaret’s life. We all, I include myself in the number, made a few assumptions about where things would go between Maggie and Michael. Things were never as they seemed.

In part two, Rannigan is about to face off with himself, being forced to reconsider his life, his choices and his treatment of his friends. His dark moment is very dark indeed, and when he needs someone, the only person there is Maggie.

Spocks manages to do something amazing. She’s written erotic romance that has depth and thoughtful character analysis. The relationship that develops by the end of part two is the stuff of fairy tales, but, along the way, Maggie makes her share of poor choices, does a bit of growing up, and has to work out her own failures. Again, we get to be nicely immersed in the world of high legal drama, and Spocks does an amazing job with these details.

I had read the first part of Rannigan’s Redemption and could not wait to read what happened to the characters in the sequel. Even while playing the field Michael Rannigan cannot get Maggie out of his mind. After all, she has always been hard to get and refuses to be part of his female “line-up.” However, before he can do anything to lure her back there is an unexpected twist in his fate that changes everything. Will a leopard ever change his spots? Read more about the lives of the legal eagles in this fast-paced sequel in which as usual, Pandora Spocks does not disappoint. The characters spring to life in a story line that is both entertaining and engrossing!

A terrific follow up to "Resisting Risk". The story picks up with Rannigan coping with the changes in his life after Mags is gone and follows how the two continuously look back on their connection. The plot is compelling and sometimes I found myself wanting to reach into the book and knocking some sense into Michael. If you've read the first novel, I highly recommend this follow up. Great delivery and passionately tense.

The author left us with quite the cliffhanger last year, when Part 1 ended with a rift between Maggie and Michael just after they finally gave in to their mutual attraction. Part 2 picks up right where the first installment left off.
I have to confess I have limited patience for the “A-hole Rich Guy” subgenre of romance novels, but Spocks once again manages to overcome my preconceived notions. It helps that Michael experiences actual consequences for his ridiculousness, and that Maggie never so much as entertains the notion of putting up with his misbehavior. Maggie nevertheless shows her heart of gold when she is a friend to him when it really counts. Between her kindness, toughness, and potty mouth, Maggie may be my favorite romance main character of all time.
My favorite part of the book starts in about the 5th inning, when retired baseball player Bobby makes his appearance. I don't want to give too much away. I'll just say that he's awesome, and I look forward to seeing more of him in book 3.

I've waited a long time for this sequel. It fed my thirst and then made me thirsty for more. This is a more touching story than Book 1. I liked how the author introduced a new player in Maggie's life. I liked how she added depth to Michael's character. In Running Rogue, we see Michael shedding his macho, womanizing side. Something, and I'm not telling you what, rocked his world and all throughout the story, he was vulnerable. I like that, cause every man has a vulnerable side they hate showing.

I just realized now what Rannigan's Redemption means. And this author is going to make us cry in Book 3. Start the series now if you haven't read it yet. Pandora Spocks is a sophisticated writer.

Highly recommended.

I adore Pandora Spock's characters. Maggie is delightful, and all the reader wants from page one is for her to be happy. Michael is not the nicest guy, but he's so damn likable, you just want to take him home and . . .

But I digress. I started reading, thinking I had it all figured out, loving it. And then there was a detour. And then a roadblock and some sadness and some stress. And then something wonderful happened. No. I'm not going to give spoilers.

I grinned through much of this book, and I cried through others. You will too. It's excellent.

This story picks up right where Part 1 left off. I think someone who hadn't read Part 1 could still enjoy this book, but you definitely should read Part 1 first in order to get the full emotional impact of the characters. And be warned - if you pick this one up, you'll find yourself needing to go get Part 3!

This episode really adds some unexpected twists. So often romance novels are awfully predictable. Not so here! This book is full of surprises. But just like Part 1 the characters are realistic and multidimensional. They handle this wild ride in a way that is authentic and real. By the end, you feel like they are all old friends.

Oh my

I didn’t see any of this coming, which is part of what makes this such a good book and series. At the hints throughout book 2, would you believe I am dreading reading book 3? The author has done a perfect job making us fall in love with the very flawed Michael. She makes us feel optimistic for Maggie for the first time in forever. All of that and I’m already grabbing my tissues just thinking of what the future holds.

Rennigan's Redemption: Part 2: Running Rogue

Part 2: Running Rogue is a exceptional book just like the previous book. Pandora Spocks writing skills are awesome as well as the storyline. The characters are fantastic. The story tells of true to life situations & horrific mistakes when you let ego, fame, & wealth get in the way of important things in life. But you also find out who your true friends are. Thank you so very much for sharing your amazing talents with us readers.

Rannigan's Redemption: Running Rogue took my breath away. The continuing story of Michael and Maggie is both spicy and heartwarming. In erotic romance books I am used to a ton of heat and not much else. But this author has accomplished what many others in this genre have not. She created memorable, multi-dimensional characters who undergo tough transformations on their journey to love. This book is a must read for those who enjoy their romance with some soul-touching depth. I look forward to being swept away by book three in this series. I hope Ms. Spocks doesn’t make us wait too long.
