Kate MacLeod lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband and two sons, although they may head further north soon, as the winters in Minnesota just don’t get cold enough anymore. She has two dogs, Mugen and Tachikoma, and a cat named Spike Spiegel. Another great book in the Scout Shannon series! Seriously I cannot recommend this series enough and it makes me sad that not many people seem to be reading / reviewing them :( Usually I'm not a huge fan of politics-based sci-fi stories, but MacLeod makes the plots easy to understand while still being interesting and suspenseful. Scout is such a great main character and all of the side characters feel very well-rounded as well [and don't forget her trusty dogs! DOGS IN SPACE! Seriously, they're the best]. Also the covers are just absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to read the next one!

Scout Shannon Trilogy #2, let's go!

Is good, I love all the insecurities from the previous trilogy that are set up for the sequels.
