Lion shifter omega Aeson had spent his life trapped in a traditionalist pride where he was treated as property and with no more empathy than one would have for your average chair. After being declared ‘defective’ by his pride, he was abandoned by his father in the human city. Rescued by a human member of the Dry Lake Pack, Aeson must adapt to his dramatically changed life. When he discovers that he has been gifted with the ability to heal others, he becomes Alpha Norths best hope for waking Connor from his deep hibernation.
Connor spent months trapped in his self-imposed prison within his own mind. Held there by his guilt and remorse for his actions that had injured his best friend Patrick, his mate Carter, and their unborn pup. His jealousy had torn the crew apart and plunged Connor into a hibernation state that no one had been able to draw him from.
Can Aeson and his healing ability be enough to pull Connor from the darkness?
Intended for mature readers (18+) only. This book contains m/m, mpreg, shifters, and erotic scenes.
The 3 stars is for the story and NOT for the writing. Honestly the editing and misuse of words, misspelled words and words that shouldn't even be there is just awful. If you can ignore all the errors the series is actually pretty good.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
Pulled from the Darkness is the fifth book in the Dry Lake Pack series by Jamie Lynn. It's the story of Alpha wolf shifter Conner and Omega Lion shifter Aeson. Conner has been in a self imposed darkness for several months following the unfortunate events that occurred with his Crew, the guilt he carries overwhelming. Aeson is brought to the house to help Conner find his way out. Aeson grew up in a traditionalist pride where omega were only good for making more Alphas, but he was seen defective and abandoned in the city. He finds his way to the Dry Lake Pack with some help from a passing member and soon discovers he has a special gift of healing. When Conner and Aeson are joined together, bodies are healed but so are souls. These characters are wonderfully written and their story is touching. I recommend this book as well as the whole aeries.
I call this series shifter Lite. This is different because of all the different types of shifters living in one pack with humans. A c now we are vampires too! These books are quick reads for me but they are enjoyable. They have a decent plot and likeable characters. But does she ever need an editor. I know some readers will not finish the first book in the series because of the poor grammar and spelling errors. I almost quit but am glad I chose to overlook them. If Jamie can't find or afford an editor maybe she could find some beta readers to proof the books before publishing,,it is a shame that many will skip the whole series because of these grammar errors!
Well written story and well developed characters! This is the fifth book in the series and they are fantastic! This book has a lot of triggers! So be warned! An omega who is treated as a piece of property! He is thrown away! Then rescued by the Dry Lake Pack! How he conquers his abuse and becomes a mate is quite the book!
This series gets better and better and now has an interesting new development. I really like Aeson but he shows incredible insight, maturity and knowledge of anatomy for someone raised in total ignorance. Looking forward to the next book.
I loved this book. Connor was bit of an ass in the previous book and seeing him so tortured over it and slowly finding forgiveness and redemption with his mate Aeron was great. I felt so much for Aeron, I was very happy with the way his character grew. Loved it
I enjoyed each book more than the last. The story just flows and builds upon last book. Only real issue i have is with editing. There are so many errors i often had to interpret the sentence.
Each book in the series just keeps getting better and better, I really enjoy how they build off of each other. There is a great over-reaching arc threading through the series in addition to the storyline of each books MCs. So good.
Thos book was an emotional rollercoaster Iam glad Conner woke up and found his mate he deserve to finally be happy. I wish this book was longer as itseemed to finish abruptly
This book was the best so far.. I loved Aeson and Conner... The flow of the book was great as well.. The Continuous plot is coming along nicely.. off to the next book...
I gave this story a 3 star rating due to all the typos. It would have been a 4 star rating, but those errors just can't be overlooked and oftentimes took me out of the story.
