What is the nature of spirit and soul? What are the universal spiritual laws and how can we learn to live in harmony with them? What really happens when we die?
Ryuho Okawa reveals in this book the transcendent nature of consciousness and the secrets of our multidimensional universe and our place in it. By understanding the natural laws of the universe and following the Buddhist Eightfold Path, he believes we can speed up our eternal process of development. The Laws of the Sun shows the way to achieve true happiness, a happiness that continues from this world through the other.
Ryuho Okawa is a renowned spiritual thinker, leader, and author in Japan with a simple goal: to help people find true happiness and create a better world. To date, Okawa’s books have sold over 100 million copies worldwide and been translated into 31 languages. His books address vital issues such as how our thoughts influence reality, the nature of love, and the path to enlightenment. In 1986, Okawa founded Happy Science as a spiritual movement dedicated to bringing greater happiness to humankind by uniting religions and cultures to live in harmony. Happy Science has grown rapidly from its beginnings in Japan to a worldwide organization. The spiritual workshops Happy Science offers are open to people of all faiths and walks of life and are rooted in the same simple principles of happiness that inspired Okawa’s own spiritual awakening. Okawa is compassionately committed to the spiritual growth of others; in addition to writing and publishing books, he continues to give talks around the world.
In preface, at just hello, the author already sounds very defensive. Why? It already sets a question into a motion. Is this information credible?
In the first chapter, the author already hopes that the Buddha’s Truth will “be cherished by all our brothers and sister on Earth,” instead of simply presenting facts and observations.
Not only that, the way the text is written, there is a lot of “you” attacking. “If you can call him a madman, you should come forward and prove to the world that you are sane.”
I cannot proceed reading a text, which doesn’t seem credible to me.
The laws of the sun is an exemplary and insightful book that gives you an ultimate chance of learning about Primordial Buddha. Ryuho Okawa, as a global spiritual leader has amplified the importance of compassion and kindness towards humanity and cultivating a sense of self- reflection filled with hope, love and light. He is the founder of the Happy Science and the Happiness Realization Party.
The book explores the multi- dimensions that further expands into the beings residing and the associated consciousnesses in it. And the vivid description of the launch of the Earth spirits is intriguing knowledge that forges a clear direction for living.
There are six main chapters which are further segmented into sub chapters where the author has profound global harmony and balance of acceptance and Embodiment of Buddha. In chapter three, the author has extensively explained the power and wonders of love. The sub chapter titled as Love and Eightfold Path explores the four stages of attainment - fundamental love, nurturing love, forgiving love, and love incarnate. In the succeeding chapters the author has explored the enlightenment, the different civilizations such as The Garna civilization, Ramudia civilization, the age of Agasha and more. In the final chapter, the book has highlighted the path to El Cantare.
After reading the book, you will understand the truth of "One source, one planet, one people. Anyone who is willing to consciously expand your perception regarding spiritual growth and development and has an open mind to explore the wide horizon of beliefs and spiritual attainment will definitely benefit from this book.
I think is all about love and how to spread it, I really like the info it resonated to me but only one thing.....he claims to be the reincarnation of Buddha. Now that is a really bold statement, I don't know If I could believe it but over all he means very well and the message is beautiful.
This book is the first of a trilogy that includes the titles, The Laws of Eternity and The Golden Laws. Written by Ryuko Okawa, author of The Essence of Buddha, this book delves deeper into the principles of Buddhism and takes you on a transcendental journey to define the very nature of spirit and soul.
The power of love is the main theme that seems to permeate this book and was one concept that really resonated with me.
The author, a well known channel of spirit himself, reveals the secrets of our multilayered universe and helps us to define our place within it.
Ryuko Okawa claims to channel some very high level energies and whether you believe in this kind of stuff or not the book is worth reading for the esoteric content alone.
I'm looking forward to reading the next two titles in this series. You can depend on Ryuko Okawa to deliver content considered to be "heavy" with clarity and insight.
In my opinion, adepts and advanced students of metaphysics will benefit the most from this book.
If I said to you that the god Jesus Christ referred to as father could send his message from heaven what wouldn’t you give to read it? Or Allah who sent his message through Muhammad?
If this truly was a message from the god that made us all, then don’t you think it’s such a waste to not even open a page of it?
I know that there are some awful reviews out there of this book by bigots who just can’t get out of their narrow view, but there is something truly blindingly bright about this book and it’s just such a waste to not read this book solely for the reviews out there.
Read it and decide for yourself if this is the real deal! This is a life changer!
I believe that humans are primitive beings who have been created by a super consciousness. Heard many theories and this one adds to it. The dimensions as mentioned and their role in our evolution is not my personal experience, however, the crux of it all is to "Love". Humanity is surely going through a shift and effort is essential for that consciousness to guide us all. Just found the author bragging about himself at the end but that's fine. I loved reading this book and looking forward to reading more from this author.
I read this book and was so amazed that I decided to become a member of Okawa's organization, 'Happy Science.' I've had a wonderful experience as a member. I am so grateful to buy this book.
The Laws of the Sun by Ryuho Okawa is a sweeping spiritual text that lays out the foundation of his belief system and the teachings of the Happy Science movement. The book explores the idea that all of humanity shares a common divine origin and that love is the essential force that binds and guides us. Okawa doesn’t simply offer spiritual reflections—he presents a complete cosmology, filled with multi-dimensional spirit realms, ancient civilizations, and a central divine being, El Cantare, whom he claims to embody. It’s a bold, all-encompassing worldview that blends Eastern spirituality, metaphysics, and personal revelation.
Among the six core chapters, two stand out as the most compelling: "The Ultimate Enlightenment" and "Buddha’s Truth Speaks." In The Ultimate Enlightenment, Okawa outlines a path of spiritual growth that moves beyond intellectual understanding into direct spiritual experience. He introduces four forms of love—fundamental, nurturing, forgiving, and love incarnate—each representing a stage of soul evolution. This chapter attempts to map a clear path to spiritual awakening, encouraging readers to rise above ego and materialism. Buddha’s Truth Speaks takes a more direct tone, presenting what Okawa claims are divine revelations from a higher consciousness. It’s here that his voice shifts from teacher to messenger, delivering messages he believes the modern world urgently needs. For followers of Eastern traditions, it echoes Buddhist thought but adds layers of cosmic hierarchy and destiny that are unique to Okawa’s system.
I really enjoyed this book. It opened up my eyes to the different dimensions that exist and past civilizations that may have existed before us. It was a great book to further my spiritual development and each chapter went in depth, but none of them over stayed their welcome. The only part I didn’t love were the last couple of chapters where the author claims to be Buddha reincarnated… Like I don’t think so bro. It seems to me that he just wanted to be at the center of a religious movement, and unfortunately that kind of does take away from the book because it makes me skeptical about its teachings now. I’m giving the book 5 stars though because it taught me things I’ve never heard of before so it really did change my life and I’m grateful for that.
The Laws of the Sun by Ryuho Okawa initially makes me laugh (in a good way). The way the text portrays Buddhist beliefs in accordance with its correlations makes me more appreciative about active routes available for people to pursue creating a better world as well as to become better acting people. It's important to be cautious reading texts as such though I think one may find interesting points throughout these types of texts that are useful in assessing how one might better proceed with living their life.
Although the author makes some out-of- this-world claims, I read this with an open mind. Most of it, anyway... because after reading a section in which the writer goes on a tangent about the material world and necessity of shunning it, I reached a page that more books would have to be purchased in order to get the full and complete philosophy. Of course... because this Buddha is willing to share the secrets of enlightenment at $15.95 a copy.
This is a very confused book, in that in some ways it contradicts itself, all the while claiming some fairly fantastic things, such as levels of powers that one can achieve, warnings against indulging in powers -- and some really out there histories. This has been one of the very far fetched books I have read.
The basic message is positive but the way that message is justified really makes no sense if you read it critically.
This was sort of a refresher for me on the Hare Krishna cult and the forms of Buddhism and Hinduism. I forgot a lot of this when it came to leaving college after one religion course. Great refresher because a Hare Krishna branch often visits Saint Augustine in February.
It gave me new perspective… had a sample book that I received at a spiritual convention and had to buy the full one … like the way he views the spiritual world and different dimensions
It is an interesting philosophical/religious piece in that it gives examples of spiritual visitation and various levels of heaven from the author's perspective. But, I did not believe it touched upon what we can truly do in this moment and time and how previous premonitions or visitations from dead political leaders could heighten our soul or enlighten us on our spiritual path. It is like step one in a training course.
