Results Revolution: Achieving What Matters Most

Rate this book
Why do the results achieved by today's businesses often fall short of the promises made by CEOs, senior leaders, and their myriad management gurus, consulting experts, business authors, and training companies? The lamentable, hard-to-accept reality is that business leaders and their consultants (including us) have been focusing all our attention on the process rather than the prize. Rigorous adherence to the latest, best management and leadership practices doesn't always produce the desired results. After four decades of research and observation, we have decisively realized that the most amazing accomplishments in the business world today have been achieved when people committed themselves to delivering what matters most to the business in combination with achieving what matters most to themselves. Making this blend fully intentional and operational is the essence of the Results Revolution process. How? Start using three simple levers-Required Results, Reciprocal Results, Realized Results-to sustainably drive greater Focus, Energy, and Solutions in your organization, and convert business challenges into triumphs. This revolutionary process transcends the distractions inherent in strategy, leadership, and culture to achieve what matters most for your team, your company, and your life-now and going forward.

Hickman and Morgan do a nice job of describing how leaders can create a results-oriented culture, but do it in a way that is honorable and respectful to the vital many that contribute to organizational success.

Along with "The Oz Principle," "Fix It," and "Change the Culture, Change the Game" I highly recommend "Results Revolution: Achieving What Matter Most" to anyone in a leadership role.
