The third book in the bestselling Heir of Dragons series, perfect for fans of fast-paced YA fantasy, dragon shifters, and dangerous magic. The Herald has returned, and with him the Slayers are one step closer to summoning the Hunt and destroying Kaylee and the rest of the dragon-kin. Worse, Kaylee is attacked by a dragon. An actual dragon. The kind that definitely shouldn’t exist. Something—or someone—is forcing innocent dragon-kins to permanently shift against their will.
With the arrival of a powerful creep interested in romancing her, Kaylee’s own kinda-sorta romance growing with Edwin, and Jade’s brutal Tamer test taking place in the caverns of New York City, a mystery is one more thing Kaylee doesn’t need right now.
But when Jade’s test goes disturbingly wrong, Kaylee enters the underground, determined to find her. What she discovers instead is a Slayer plot more dangerous than she could have imagined.
One that promises to end her and her friends for good.

Sean Fletcher was born in the broiling, arid state some people lovingly refer to as Texas. He is the Amazon bestselling author of YA fantasy, in addition to other forthcoming books whose characters will not give him a moment's peace until they get their turn in the spotlight. 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ These books keep getting better and better. I loved the development of Kaylee’s relationship with her uncle Randy. Her friends were amazing and I enjoyed seeing her character growth.
There was so much action and the story is so detailed I couldn’t help but be enraptured by it. Though there are some elements of the plot that are predictable (the romance) there are other parts that are not and it was so amazing to see things unfold. The twists, turns and awesome revelations, I couldn’t get enough.
I’m so hyped right now that I’m hoping the last book isn’t a huge letdown. I hope it is just as good or even better than this one. Soooo, on to the next!
CONTENT Romance: Clean/Chaste (a few kisses) Violence: Moderate Language: Mild
This is the third book in the Heir of Dragons series and follows dragon-kin Kaylee and her protector in training, Jade. An evil from the past has returned, the Herald, who needs to find an old legendary place to fully return to his full power. Alongside this are the Slayers, who have upped the ante on their hatred of dragon-kin and are now close to restarting the Hunt and putting an end to dragon-kin.
Kaylee is attacked by a real life dragon and they start to realise that someone is forcing dragon-kin to fully shift into their dragon forms and leaves them in that state permanently. Jade is trying to get ready to sit her Tamer test and Kaylee is busy with her SAT’s at school. Kaylee isn’t getting to see much of her new boyfriend, when she is suddenly approached by an obnoxious dragon-kin called Luke, from an old, important dragon-kin family, who tells her she is due to marry him!
Jade’s test is to take place in New York and Kaylee’s new suitor has just a little bit of a hand in that situation. There are loads of other candidates to be tested on the same day and there are going to be quite a few surprises. This is to test each candidate and ensure they are capable of protector their dragon-kin charge in the future.
The test starts to go wrong and Jade is left stuck in the caverns deep underground. Most of which has not been mapped or explored in years. Kaylee and her friends rush back in to try and find Jade, but find themselves in more danger than they started. The Slayers are also close by and searching for the location they need to start the Hunt. Kaylee finds more surprises underground than she expected and meets different people on her way. They all have to fight for survival as best as they can.
Although this is the third book in the series, you could also read this as a standalone book. It is a great read with interesting characters that are fleshed out nicely. I found the storyline full of little tidbits that add to the sense of adventure and drama. I loved reading this and can’t wait for any more books in the series. I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Prince of Fantasy Thrillers, Sean Fletcher tells of Kaylee the Storm dragon-kin, studying for her SATS and trying to calm the nerves of her BFF and Tamer friend Jade, who's about to take her final Tamer exams in this latest fantasy adventure.
Wizard in training Edwin's nose is put out of joint by the arrival of Liam, heir apparent of an ancient dragon-kin family whose parents have died, leaving him responsible for continuing the family's existence in the new century and has chosen Kaylee to be the future mother of his powerful children - a future that she totally rejects. The practical tests take place in hidden tunnels and caverns beneath Liam's estate and Jade's boyfriend Maddox goes along with Edwin and the girls to give moral support at the start.
What are the magical properties of Dragon's Bane? How does it affect Kaylee? What happens to other dragon-kin who drink the potion? How are the Slayers and Lesuvius linked? What is the Hunter hoping to do in the Bethesda Pool? What special properties does this pool have? Who is saved by the Pool's magic? How does the Hunter use it? What Saint appears through the Pool's portal? What has Liam done that enrages inhabitants of the first tunnels' pool they arrive at? How does Edwin help Kaylee?

kindle unlimited, been reading these, and it's almost as bad as watching a 90210 teen angst attempt but imnho don't see where teens are in real life supposed to be such shallow airheads, and said that both times have my tablet or other read doing the book for me vocally but at pretty high speed for most other people, so only thought that it wasn't as much in the second one compare to the first, but...they're BAACCCKKK, so I dropped it by one star, because it's taking too much away from any type of story line and wedging in the 90210 junk when it doesn't need to be to that extent in the first place, I've read other books in their other series but seriously don't remember this, this bad, and while thought about a 3, with amazon that is a negative review, according to amazon but no one else, so stuck with the 4 even though, for me, it only ended up 'okay' but not the way they mean it, I just didn't luv it, didn't overly liked it O-kay
In the caverns beneath New York City, an ancient evil is about to rise… The Herald has returned, and with him the Slayers are one step closer to summoning the Hunt and destroying Kaylee and the rest of the dragon-kin. Worse, Kaylee is attacked by a dragon. An actual dragon. The kind that definitely shouldn’t exist. It seems something is forcing innocent dragon-kins to permanently shift against their will. With the arrival of a powerful creep interested in romancing her, and Jade’s Tamer test taking place in the caverns of New York City, a mystery is one more thing Kaylee doesn’t need to deal with right now.
But when Jade’s test goes disturbingly wrong, Kaylee enters the underground, determined to find her. What she discovers instead is a Slayers’ plot more dangerous than she could have imagined. One that promises to end her and her friends for good.
Some secrets, it seems, are better left forgotten. But now they’re coming back to life.
Dragon's Awakening (Heir of Dragons #1) Dragon's Curse {Heir of Dragons #2) Dragon's Bane {Heir of Dragon #3}
The adventure continues in this third book of the Heir of Dragons series. I liked this story as much or even more than the previous ones. Kaylee, Jade, Edwin, and Maddox continue to find trouble—or trouble finds them—no matter what. It’s hard to remember they are still teenagers, considering all they’ve gone through. Of course, we get to see more of Alistair and Randy, plus some new characters have been added. In this story Kaylee is attacked by a real dragon; Jade faces the Tamer test; Kaylee and Edwin have to work on their relationship; Slayers and the Herald are searching for something that will destroy all the dragon-kin, but not everything is as it seems. You will find drama, suspense, betrayal, and death in this story. I just hope the sadness at the end will change in the next book. If you like dragon shifters, strong characters, excitement, and more, this story is for you. I look forward to reading the next and final book in this series. I received an advance reader copy of this book, which I have voluntarily reviewed and given my honest opinion.
This is the third book in the series Heir of Dragons and it is a very exciting read, full of adventure and scares. This is an amazing book full of thrills from beginning to end and should please readers of all ages, at least all who love fantasy particularly those who love dragons!! enjoy, I know I did!

Kaylee is meeting Edwin for a fancy dinner which is interrupted by a real Dragon attack. I could see the fight like a movie going off in my head. Before they know it, it's time for Jade's Tamer test, so it's off to New York. Jade, Kaylee, Edwin, Maddox, Alastair and Randy are together and staying at the Pendragon castle where the test is to be conducted. Also that pompous ass Liam Titus Pendragon is head of the house of Pendragon and swears he's going to marry our Kaylee. In the catacombs below the castle the slayers are looking for a pool to bring about the hunt. I'm looking forward to the next chapter of the series to find out what happens. I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I'll admit, this isn't my favorite book in the series. Don't get me wrong: it definitely has its moments and is a fitting sequel to the series, not to mention a wildly entertaining read.
I simply felt there was a bit of narrative fluff which added to the world building, but wasn't strictly necessary for the plot - though it may become important in the final book? I don't know (yet).
I had a lot of fun with the Liam-subplot, and I loved seeing more of Jade. But if this was just leading up to the big finale in book 4, I'm expecting no less than an end-of-the-world scale boss battle...
(Now that I've finished, I'm feeling a little lost, though, and - since I'm a sucker for a happy ending - am hoping for a Princess Bride-style miracle in Dragon's Fate. *sigh*)
OMG, this book just keeps you on your toes. Great book for teens and older. If you want a lot of action its in this book. We have Kaylee and her friends that trouble just seems to find. Now with Kaylee and Edwin on a date a full life dragons bangs into the window were they are eating. Of course what do they do, go after it. What is the dragon bane doing to everyone now? Dragon-kin changing into killers? Can they find who is making and selling it? What will happen to Kaylee, Edwin, Maddox, and Jade? Can they stop the Hunt from happening? Or will Lesuvious and the Herald win? Oh, what's this about Liam and marriage? I received an ARC copy for my honest review.
Let the hunt begin. Kaylee has grown so strong since the first book, but they have not actually gotten smarter, yet. I can't wait to see her embrace both sides, as well as for news on Jade.
So many feels at the end of this one! The story line is progressing toward a final show down quite quickly. I was glad to see Kaylee and Edwin finally giving their relationship a go, though it is as rocky as predicted. I need to finish this series quickly for some closure!
Such a wonderful third book in the series. Kaylee is attacked by a dragon that shouldn’t even exist. Impossible to resist reading the story as fast as possible. .
I really enjoyed this book ,it is book three in the Heir of the dragon series. A good book/series to read for any age it keeps you wanting more. I look forward to more from this author.
Third book of the series and Kaylee, Jade, and the guys are still fighting to be recognized, as well as save the world. I absolutely love this series and recommend them to almost everyone.
I was lucky enough to have gotten a ARC copy of this book. Great book wonderful for adults and young adults also. I also got to let my 10 year old granddaughter read this book and she loved it.
