Corbin Gauthier never expected to play with the Baltimore Banners again, not when he’d been traded away in the league expansion eight years ago. Yet here he was, three teams and a lifetime later, back where he started as the hockey team’s goalie. And back to the one woman he’s never been able to forget—the one woman who is completely off-limits.

Lori Evans isn’t the same young girl she’d been all those years ago when she first met the shy goalie. She’s older now, more mature and confident, with her feet planted firmly on the ground. Or so she thinks until Corbin shows back up. He’s not the same young man she’s dreamt of all these years: a little harder, more jaded, more cynical…and more tempting than ever. And he’s just as off-limits as before, maybe even more since her uncle is now the head coach for the Baltimore Banners.

At least, he’s supposed to be off-limits. Lori has other ideas—and she knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. All she has to do is convince the straight-laced goalie that some things are worth drawing a penalty for—even if it means risking a chance of getting ejected from the biggest game of all.

Lisa B. Kamps is in the zone with GAME MISCONDUCT, the eleventh book in The Baltimore Banners series. Goalie, Corbin Gauthier, is traded back to the Baltimore Banners after eight years. He left behind the woman of his dreams that was off-limits to him, his teammate's niece, Lori Evans. Now he’s back and Lori’s uncle, Ian Donovan, is his new coach. He wants to keep his distance from Lori, but she has other plans. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult audiences.

I really enjoyed with GAME MISCONDUCT. I like that the book started out with a prologue from eight years prior. It gave the reader a good sense of how the characters changed over that time. I like Corbin. He is a good guy, who does selfless things. He plans on staying away from Lori. This task is made a bit more difficult since she now works for the Banners as a digital media specialist.

The plot was skillfully executed with surprises and twists. I liked the scene on the farm with cow giving birth. I also appreciated the camaraderie of the Banners. There is an interesting scandal that occurs in the novel. It shows the true integrity of the main characters. I love the ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Game Misconduct was the eleventh book in the Baltimore Banners series by Lisa Kamp. Although enjoyable, it was not necessary to read the series in order.

I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: I read the book in one sitting, and it was quick, enjoyable and a second chance romance. I mostly enjoyed both characters but I didn’t like how Corbin let people walk all over him. No spoilers so no details, but I wanted a little more from him. Same for Lori because she really could have spoken up sooner. There was also a side story that I wasn’t overly fond of, but it worked out in the end, I just would have liked a different route in getting there. That’s just my personal opinion and not reflective of the writing. Overall, it was well written and entertaining.

I adore a second chance love story and Game Misconduct by Lisa B. Kamps does not disappoint! A love friends to lovers tale that spans almost a decade that shows true love will always burn. Corbin and Lori will keep you glued to the page, chapter after chapter. Eleven stories in an each one is so different, I truly love this series!

****Another Great Addition to the Baltimore Banners Series******There is no hockey series I enjoy more than the Baltimore Banners. Game Misconduct was another great addition to the series by Lisa B. Kamps. One of the things that keeps me engaged as a reader is the connection of the characters in this series. The main character in this book, Lori, is the niece of Ian Donavan, the Baltimore Banner whose story was told in Book 3. Lori met Corbin, a younger Banner goalie eight years ago and fell hard for him despite their young ages. He was traded to an expansion team and left for Vegas, leaving Lori behind. Fast forward eight years and he’s traded back to the Banners where Lori now works in the Media department. They run into each other and old sparks fly. Corbin has a bad boy reputation, and is accused of assault by a woman he kisses at a bar. Another reason I like Lisa’s books is that she is not afraid to deal with real life issues and explore varying opinions on them. She does a great job of looking at both sides of what assault actually is. It can be as innocent as a kiss if both parties weren’t consenting. It also looks at people who wrongly accuse someone of abuse/assault foe their personal gain. These people never consider the person’s life they might ruin or others that might be hurt by these false claims. Corbin does a lot of internal self evaluation and tries to protect the people he cares about. In the end they get their Happy Ending. I really liked how the epilogue wrapped up how Corbin and Lori moved forward after their ordeal in ways that would better educate people and protect people who were victims. Another great addition to the Banner Series!!! Lisa always keeps everything new while keeping us connected to people from the past books.

Another great addition to the Baltimore Banners series!

This is a series that always brings something fresh to each new story...yes it revolves around hockey but additionally brings to life the personal story behind each player. This time it is goalie Corbin Gauthier and Lori Evans’ story.

Corbin has been away from the Banners for 8 years. Before leaving the Banners, Ian Donovan (who is now the Banners’ head coach) had continually threatened Corbin, warning him away from Lori, who is his niece. (As an aside, we never learn why Ian was so against Corbin being involved with Lori...). Upon returning, he comes face-to-face with Lori, the one woman he’s never been able to forget.

Lori has never forgotten Corbin, even though he left without a goodbye. She has grown up and doesn’t consider Corbin off limits.

But when drama erupts, how far will Corbin go to protect Lori?

This is a wonderful second chance love story. Will Lori be able to convince Corbin (and her uncle, for that matter), that she’s an adult and can make her own decisions? How will the drama in the story effect their relationship?

I’ve said this before about other stories in this series and it is true again, whether you are a hockey fan or not, you will enjoy this one!

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book, however, this is my honest opinion.

Game Misconduct is another book by Lisa B Kamps that hooks you from the first page and doesn't let you go until the last. This 5 star read has you feeling emotions from the first sentence, and you're left eagerly turning the pages to see if this couple finally get the future they deserve. They're not the same people they were when they first knew each other, but their feelings haven't changed, and this couple gives me hope that love always wins.

I feel that Lori grows in this book, as she finally makes a stand against her uncle who has never supported her and Corbin being together. Her uncle got what he wanted once, but she's determined that it won't happen a second time. Corbin was a sweet guy who always tried to do the right thing even if it wasn't what he really wanted. I think his career was so important to him that he sacrificed his own happiness, but the regret and loss he felt was too much and he couldn't deny what he wanted any longer. I just loved this couple from the start and their ‘reunion’ gave me goosebumps as you could feel the spark running between them by being so close to each other after so long. This has to be one of my favourite scenes from the book!

*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book and all opinions are my own

Corbin and Lori.... best friends and almost lovers in their late teens/early twenties.... fast forward 8 years and with a lot of water under the bridge and a few failed relationships a piece they meet again.... will they be able to pick up where they left off or was Corbin's rejection too much for Lori to forgive all those years ago...?

I did like both characters although I felt at some point Corbin could have used a bit more backbone!!... for someone who had supposedly been through a lot he seemed to have little fight left....however his shy quiet nature was also endearing when with Lori and this is when he showed his big heart😊 good job Lori had enough fight and determination for them both!!
The first meeting between them after 8 years was very well written and I really felt for them both.
The situation that Corbin found himself in was worrying.... only because, as unbelievable as it seemed these things do happen and it makes true victims lives even harder and their cases even more difficult to be heard...
definitely worth a read.

This is a Game Misconduct you don’t want to miss! (4.5 stars)

Game Misconduct is another great addition to Lisa B Kamps’ Baltimore Banners series. It was a wonderful second chance romance that had the reader rooting for the two main characters from the beginning. Eight years is a lifetime ago and Corbin Gauthier never expected to be back playing goalie on the Baltimore Banners’ roster again, nor did he expect to see Lori Evans again – the one girl he wanted everything from, who was completely off-limits and whom he never forgot. But Lori isn’t the same naïve shy girl he last saw and knew – now she is a little wiser, confident and even a little jaded, but still off limits thanks to her uncle who is the coach of the Baltimore Banners. But Lori is about to change that and make up for all that lost time. And do they ever!
I enjoyed the dynamic relationship between the main characters - it was honest, complex, and humorous and the storyline was fun, fiery, sexy and intense. A fantastic read from amazing author!

Ian Donovan's niece, Lori has been in love with Corbin when she was 18. Lori was it for Corbin but he was forbidden by Ian to have a relationship with Lori. Granted there was only 2 year difference, but Corbin kept her in the friend zone and honored Ian's request. Unfortunately Corbin was quickly traded to a new upcoming team in Vegas. Corbin thought it was best to just leave without any goodbye's with Lori as it was tearing him apart. Lori had different ideas and happened to be at Corbin's place when he was leaving. She begged him to take her with him, even trying to persuade him with a passionate kiss. In the end Corbin left - for 8 years, then as fate would have it he was traded back to Baltimore.
Corbin has changed, but his love for Lori hasn't.
The resulting story is full of angst between Lori and Corbin and unresolved issues with her uncle Ian.
We really never find out why Ian was so against Corbin.
Overall, you can't go wrong reading this series.
Would I recommend this? Yes.

I absolutely loved this book and the message that it gave you. Corbin and Lori meant eight years ago and they both fell in love with each other. Neither was willing to really admit their feelings to each other and Corbin ended up getting traded to another hockey team and he left. Now after eight years he is back and both of them still love each other. So much time has past and so many things have happened during those eight years. Corbin is such a sweetheart. He would go that extra mile for the woman he loved. Lori is just as sweet but she has a lot of spunk and she isn't going to sit back this time and let things happen. Lori is going to make things happen. This book is awesome. It kept me guessing until the very end. All the things that happened in between just made this book so much better. I cannot wait to see what Lisa B. Kamps has in store for her next book. I am sure it will be just as amazing as this one. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

This story is about the universe aligning to give Corbin and Lori a second chance at love. I am calling it a second chance but technically it really just wasn’t the right time for them all those years ago when they were both so young. But now the time is right and boy was it worth the wait. Corbin and Lori are so good for each other and they totally belong together. It was awesome to watch them fall in love or maybe just realize the feelings that have always been there even during their years apart. It certainly wasn’t easy; there are definitely some forces conspiring against them but they get through it. Lori steps up big time to prove her man is not what people think he is because of lies. Corbin is so genuine and sweet I really felt for him during all of this.
I love this series and am always so satisfied after finishing each book and this one is no exception. What a wonderful epilogue!

Game Misconduct is the next in the Baltimore Banners series and as always Lisa B. Kamps has written another wonderful hockey romance! This story also brought up the tough subject of assault. While many assault claims are true, this story brought up how some can abuse the system and ruin someone’s life. She brings up both sides of the argument and the differences in perception that are brought on by the manipulation of social media.
Corbin and Lori were meant to be, but it was not their time eight years ago when they first knew each other. He was traded to another team and now Corbin is back. They have both tried to move on, but it didn’t work for either of them.
Somethings are worth the wait and the connection that Lori and Corbin had is still there, even with all the hurdles they had to overcome. This is now their time.

This is another incredible story from Lisa B Kamps!!! I loved Corbin and Lori's story!!!! Because of her uncle he kept things with Lori as friends although there was definitely more there. Then he was traded to another team. He never thought he would see the day he was once again playing for the Banners. It's been eight years since he left and now her uncle is his coach. I loved this story and the chemistry between Lori and Corbin is amazingly hot but tender and emotional. There are few unexpected twists and turns that have you captivated and hooked in this story. It also makes you open your eyes to lengths some will go to. My father always told me not believe everything you see and hear. This story definitely points that out.

This was a rollercoaster story and I loved it!

POSSIBLE SPOILERS

When Lori first met Corbin 9 years ago they had a special friendship but she wanted more and unfortunately he was traded so they last touch.
When Corbin sees Lori again after 8 years it's like a puck to the throat (she takes his breath away!) However he can't/won't actually have a relationship with her because Corbin's coach is Lori's uncle.
While out at a club one night a player makes a inappropriate comment about Lori in front of Corbin so he bloodies the teammate's nose but the after effects cause major problems for Corbin.
All Lori wants to do is help Corbin sort out the problem and be with him...with or without her uncle's blessing!!

Lisa B. Kamps has done it again. The latest book in the Baltimore Banners series does not disappoint. Yes the series is based on a hockey team, but it’s so much more. The author ties in hockey elements while focusing in on the personal lives of the players.

In goalie Corbin Gauthier’s story Lisa gives us some insight to the past - when Corbin was determined to keep Lori as only a friend. Even after 8 years apart Corbin is determined to do what he thinks is right.

Corbin is a protector. Whether he’s protecting the goal or the woman he loves, Corbin will do whatever he thinks is right to protect what’s important to him - even if it may cost him his own happiness.

This second chance sport romance will have you cheering for Corbin and Lori from the very beginning.

This book had me hooked from the beginning...not just because Lisa is one of my favorite authors. This book shows us the beginning for Corbin and Lori. Corbin did his best to just be friends with Lori because of who her uncle is...but he fell in love and never forgot her when he was traded, traded again and again until he comes back to the Banners. Lori's first love was Corbin and she never forgot him either...she never understood why he just left. This is a true love story that overcomes adversity by Lori's persistence that they can be together. Corbin finally chooses to stand up for what he wants.

Such an awesome book as always. I was offered an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I adore this series from Lisa B Kamps. In fact, I adore all her books. As usual there is message of importance within Lisa's story, and one that has to be told.
I love to read sports romance novels, especially if they are about hockey. Lisa is one of the best authors for this trope. She can weave a brilliant story, with wonderful and more importantly believable characters.
Corbin and Lori just make sense. I think they were too young eight years ago to make their relationship work, but after reconnecting, their romance was a beautiful thing to read.
Cannot wait to read more from one of my favourite authors.

A wonderful second-chance romance written with so much love and emotion, the characters jump right out of the book and into your heart. I fell in love with shy goalie Corbin Gauthier who is traded back to the Baltimore Banners after an eight year absence and his chemistry, steamy and emotional romance with Lori Evans, a digital media specialist for the team. You don't have to be a sports fan to enjoy this well-crafted sports romance. Ms. Kamps never disappoints and I can hardly wait for her next book. I received an advance reader copy of this book from the author and this is my unbiased review. I enjoyed the book so much, I purchased a copy for read again later.

Lisa once again did not disappoint! Game Misconduct is book 11 in the Baltimore Banners series. I feel that you can read these as stand alone’s. People from previous books tend to make appearances in her other books, but that doesn’t mean you have to read in order. I enjoyed reading about Corbin and Lori. And as with some of Lisa’s other books, she tends to pin point on important issues that happen all the time. Assault was the issue in this book. I loved how she wrote how awful some people can be to get what they want. And how it affects others around them. Hurting people to get ahead is not cool! This was a great read and I definitely recommend it!

Corbin left Baltimore 8 years ago when he got an opportunity to advance his hockey career and that's when he left Lori. In all the years he was gone and with all that happened which was made public, he never forgot or got over Lori. When he's sent back and runs into Lori who works for the team and her uncle is the coach which kind of makes her off limits, well the sparks are still flying! He tries to protect her which puts him back in the news but is it really as it appears? Watching them come together and work through issues keeps you reading page after page, making this a quick and enjoyable story. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I sure enjoyed Corbin and Lori’s story. Even over time and space, the heart wants what the heart wants. BUT some things never change, the present added to the mix and then there was a HUGE occurrence that I didn’t see coming. It’s a reminder to always learn the facts, there’s always more to a story than what’s presented and lies, even good lies can hurt, irreparably.
Reading about a player for the Baltimore Banners Hockey team was like coming home and it was exactly what I needed this week! Great addition to this series! *NO cliffhangers involved*

Love any book that contains hockey, well almost any. This one certainly didn’t disappoint for sure. The one that ran away, is back. And what a fun time he had while he was away, marriage, divorce, engagement, and pretty much any woman he could get his hands on. At least that is what the public was shown in the tabloids! But behind all that was the love for the one he left behind! So cute, and the ups and downs and back and forth just added to the turmoil. My favorite part was in the barn! Lord that was hysterical! Loved pretty much all of it really!

Corbin was trying to protect Lori’s reputation but in so doing finds himself sued for assault for a simple kiss. The woman in question set it up to get money - lots of money. It works but not before damaging Corbin’s image and credibility. Lori and Corbin have been in love for more than 10 years and Lori is determined to make this right and expose the other woman’s intentions.

Although this is fiction, it is important to have respect for others and what is perceived as innocent is assault when not agreed upon by both parties.

This is a well written book with an interesting story line. The characters are strong and the story moves quickly and smoothly. I loved Lori! She has grown into a strong woman who knows what she wants and goes for it. Corbin has been traded back to the one place he never thought he would see again. And he definitely wasn’t prepared to run into Lori so soon. The chemistry is definitely still there years later, but there is one little issue, ok a big issue, that hasn’t changed. Can these two work around it to get their happy ending?

I have enjoyed reading this series and this book about Corbin and Lori. Lisa B. Kamps does not shy away from touchy subjects or important issues that happen all the time. I loved how she handled the story line of how low some people can be to get what they want at the expense and destruction of people that actually work for what they have and achieved. And how it affects others around them. I definitely recommend it! I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

Eight years ago Corbin and Lori were young and dumb but in love. Corbin did the one thing he has regretted and that was walked away when he got a deal to go in the expansion draft. After eight years he is now back in Baltimore and Lori is all grown up and the feelings come back for both of them. When one night things go absolutely crazy can they move past it and finally be together?

This book touches on sexual assault and harassment .. Powerful messges

Game Misconduct is the eleventh book in the Baltimore Banners Hockey series. While this can be read as a standalone, it helps to have read the other books to fully understand who all of the characters are. There is some mild violence and includes sexual situations. I love hockey and this series has been fantastic! Definitely worth reading.
