The Queen of Heaven’s Daughter Finally a Novel for Sapiosexual witches! Are you polyamorous, kinky, queer and pagan? Do you ever wish you could read a novel whose protagonists shared these identities and seemed healthy and normal? Well, now you can. The Queen of Heaven’s daughter gives us Joanie, a young working class witch whose practical side has her doing sex work to pay off her college expenses while she works on a degree in economics. What Joanie’s heart and spiritual guidance want her to do is follow her devotion to the Sumerian Goddess Inanna, Queen of Heaven by being a priestess who facilitates Temple gatherings that allows attendees to experience physical ecstasy. The novel is a realistic and sympathetic portrayal of Joanie and her friends as sexually sovereign young women in USA who make a shame free and intelligent choice to do sex work given the economic alternatives available to them. As Trepanier eases us into Joanie’s interior world, it is easy to understand why she chooses lucrative work that aligns with her sex positive, body positive and pagan inclinations. I deeply appreciated having a central female character who enjoys and initiates sex; as this aligns with my own pleasure activist tendencies, but is rarely portrayed in novels. It really stood out to me that there is no slut shaming in this novel. It is so refreshing that the sexually active women here do not end up dead like they do in 90% of the medias I am exposed to on a daily basis.
This was a lengthy book and a lot of research went into presenting work with a unique storyline.
For me the beginning of the book was slow as you tried to make heads and tails of the story. There is a lot of sex, mostly it comes across as very observatory and not very erotic. There was a bit of monotonousness to it after a while and I would just skip through those pages.
There are also some very graphic violent scenes that the reader should be aware of, a warning would be nice as it could be a potential trigger for some.
For some the more earthy and pagan side of this story may be a bit hard for some to relate too. The sharing and blurring of the typical male female roles may challenge your beliefs.
There is a lot of interesting concepts and points of views within the story, it was dragged out a little to long with a very fast wrap up at the end that had an abruptness to it that may be a little jarring. Maybe a bit more back story to give the reader a foundation for the story to build on and less meaningless conversation would have made this a much tighter story for you to get lost in a new world.

This is my 1st read and review for this author and it was a really fantastic read, although I found it a little complex I still very much enjoyed the story. I’m not going to give any spoilers so read Mary’s blurb and that will give you the gist to this book, there’s plenty of mythology in this book and some names I even have a hard time pronouncing even in my head lol. It’s a very interesting read, an original storyline, suspense, romance, mythology and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. So if you like paranormal romances with mythology then this is the book for you, I enjoyed it and I know you will too. I recommend this book it’s well worth the read.
This is a truly well written novel with moments of beauty. The difficulty I had with it was the intensity of the ever shifting storyline which made the pacing slow. The characters are carefully drawn with very differing levels of sexuality, and if anything sexuality and self identity is a fundamental focus within the novel.
The reason I didn’t manage to finish this is pretty much the slow level of pacing, and the fact that a novel about sex as a principal core is not really my cup of tea.

I finished this. Barely. It was a very interesting read but at the same time confusing and a bit hard for me to follow. I liked how the story was laid out and where it was going but I felt it would have been better with a more clear story laid out. I had many questions that were not answered in the book and left me unsatisfied. The story ends pretty quickly and I'm not sure if it was a cliffhanger but definitely not an HEA.
She works and plays hard. She pays for school by sleeping with men for money. She has no feelings for them, until he comes. Things are about to get very interesting as a demon comes along with others. See how it will all end

Highly Underrated. This book is heavily rooted in the spritual and sexual roots of Sumerian lore, as a backdrop for the modern day life of a sex worker. My only complaint is that the descriptions weren't more richly detailed, and that the Sumerian Goddesses depicted were the "good guys" when they were ambiguous at best. Otherwise, a truely enjoyable sexy read.

This book was not for me. I found the start rather confusing. Its about Clayton who accepts a god into his body. And Joanie whos a lady of the night whos work name is Jenny. Both of them are students.
