Elodie Colt is a USA Today bestselling Paranormal & Contemporary Romance author from Austria. When she’s not busy writing books that go beyond run-of-the-mill alpha stories, she spends her time binge-watching the latest Hollywood blockbuster, playing the guitar, or hitting the gym. The fact that German is her mother tongue didn't keep her from giving her dream to publish in English a chance. Whatever she writes, she has one goal - to make you cry, laugh and wet at the same time ;)
I LOVE THIS SERIES, but this novella seemed superfluous and unnecessary to the rest of the books. For me, it didn't really add anything to the story except confusing me on the new characters (Jenna, even though we've heard of her before, and Gina). I did find it interesting to finally see Jenna and how her insecurities could eventually lead to her demise and see Dylan and Ricky's relationship BEFORE the thing. Overall, it was a quick read that still left me screaming for book 4. Can't wait!!
When I signed up to review the book I was aware that it was a prequel to a series, but I thought it was going to be a story about a couple that was already established in the series or something would happen and it would set off the events of the first book. I haven't read the series and factoring in how much I was disappointed with this book, I don't think I ever will. The couple in this novella doesn't get a happy ending. They have sex and soon after she leaves to go to another country. That was it. Is this a clickbait in order to make me buy the next book? Because I won't. This novella only served to make me mad and put a huge question mark on the author's name giving her almost no second chance. This addition to the series felt useless to me, so I wouldn't recommend it.
