For true crime junkies like myself this is a must read (or listen)! However, I am now checking my door locks every few seconds, looking in the car before I get in, and am constantly looking for someone lurking around me! 🤣
The BEST. Excellent synopsis of each case mentioned. A mini explanatory introduction and conclusion to a series of famous and not so famous true crime.
This is a good listen for any true crime buffs. However, it's not for the faint of heart. The crimes committed are heinous, to say the least, so if you are at all queasy...be warned.
This book is full of shortened versions of many stories. Some are of really famous serial killers and many are of ones that never made huge headlines. All in all it's a great read/listen. I listened to it on Audible.
Unenthused. I love true crime stuff but this felt rushed and one story blended into the next. I’d rather read something in-depth about one of these especially interesting crimes than a litany of summaries.
If you like real life true crime this is an excellent read. There are famous and infamous murder in this book. Made me want to google the names and get more information or see if there other books about the person I could read.
I included a few of these books individually as read - but went ahead and added this one to my read list to cover the notorious crime volumes I also read but were not available on GRs as something I could tag as read.
But I digress, if you are into true crime, this omnibus is an excellent way to sample various true-crime stories that have transpired throughout the US. Obviously, many of the case details are very descriptive so I wouldn't recommend reading/listening (audible) this for anyone underage. This is graphic content about murder/serial killers/spree shootings/spree murders, etc.
It's a long listen - often extremely graphic, but a good true crime overview. They copy of ton of material. I think it was like 20 hours... Be careful.
