An all-new story arc begins in the Star Wars: Jedi Academy! Starring Christina Starspeeder! Christina Starspeeder, legendary Padawan and sister to Victor Starspeeder, has graduated from the Jedi Academy at Coruscant. But that doesn't mean her education is over! Just the opposite. Now Christina is a student at the advanced Jedi Academy at Jedha City. It's super big, and super stressful. At Coruscant, Christina was top of her class. But at this new school, it seems like everyone is on a different level. To make matters worse, she's apprenticing under legendary Jedi Skia Ro, whose droid seems to have it out for Christina. Since when did droids come preprogrammed with attitude? Every time Skia Ro gives Christina a task, she manages to screw it up. Can Christina step it up at this new school? Or will she get booted out to the outer rim?
The Good: A different take on Star Wars, this was a fun, Disney-Channel-esque space opera story. I had a blast with it.
The Bad: My only complaints were that one illustration was disgusting and the comic strip parodies from the previous book I read in this series were missing.
The Jedi Academy series takes on an interesting twist as it refocuses on Christina Starspeeder, the older sister to Victor (the previous narrator). She has now graduated from the academy at Corscant and has taken on a position as a padawan to the legendary Jedi Skia Ro. They are based out of Jedha City, where there is another jedi Academy.
Christina, who has always excelled, finds herself struggling as her classmates seem to be doing quite well serving under there Jedi while she seems to struggle to do anything right. Ro and Christina are sent on mission after mission only to find that Christina seems to bungle everything. In fact, she even starts to consider becoming a zoologist.
This book is another one filled with funny humor and an interesting storyline that is perfectly designed for its intended audience. The authors do a great job of bringing in some of the settings and races found in the more recent Star Wars movies. It also has a great message.
This was certainly a nice addition to the series, and it was nice to have a volume with a female protagonist.
I liked this one a lot more than the last, but I think that’s just because I relate more to Christina. V cute Good ending Hope to see more in this subseries (?)
{My thoughts} – I have grown to love this series. It is a fun graphic novel set based loosely on Star Wars. The cover is nicely illustrated and eye catching. The illustrations within the book go hand and hand with the text, helping to better explain what is taking place within the storyline.
This is the first book since Jarrett Krosockza had taken over the series that the storyline isn’t based solely on the new character Victor. Instead this book is all about his sister Christina and I think it is a nice addition to the series.
Christina is going to a new school to learn under a new Master. She has some issues getting herself grounded and staying in focus. She reads a zoologist type magazine in her free time and when it comes down to it, all the reading helps her in her studying to be a Jedi. Her classmates teased her to the point where she wanted to quit, but she held on and she kept at it. Eventually all her hard work paid off and she learned that she was going to make a great Jedi.
I think this book is a great reminder for children. I think that it can help them to see that even though things are going real well, that they have the potential to improve. It shows them that as long as they believe they can do it, they will be able to do it and become successful.
I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading the next one in the series when it comes out!
I have liked the Jedi Academy stories by Jeffrey Brown so much more than the ones by this author, but Jarrett Krosoczka writes a very good story this time. I enjoyed the plot all the way through. I don't know if it was because of the development of the character Christina Starspeeder, or if it was just the events that made the story interesting. At any rate, I give this book a high rating of four stars. It's easy to read, the "Datapad" breaks added to the plot, and the illustrations were well done. Students from 4th grade on up will probably be able to connect with the main character, Christina, especially if they have read previous books in the Jedi Academy series. I look forward to the next book.
Clever and capable Christina Starspeeder (Victor’s older sister) is off to Jedha for her Jedi apprenticeship with Skia Ro who is famous for her wits, wisdom, and saber skills. Christina and her fellow apprentices have a lot to learn, however, and Christina’s efforts to impress her new master seem to backfire every time. Embarrassed and disheartened, Christina’s starting to think she should have chosen a different career path (maybe zoology?), but when she uncovers a Hutt’s plot to disrupt peace for profit, she’s able to use her Jedi skills (with some help from her friends) to save the day. Jedi Academy fans will be thrilled to discover Christina Starspeeder has her own miniseries! It’s a tough first year for her, but in the end she finds her feet and masters her self-doubt.

*Revenge of the Sis* is a rollicking and enjoyable story that touches on modern topics like shoddy developments pushing out small businesses even as it incorporates age-old adolescent challenges. Ignatow’s dialogue and character development and Krosoczka’s expressive illustrations are a delight. Highly recommended!
I got this from the library for my son and then read it too, because that is often what happens with the stories I get for my son. And it is funny. It really is. It may say something for my psychological state that I just wrote a negative review of a John Le Carre novel and really, really liked a Jedi Academy book. I think it's best if I don't dwell on that too much.
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!! This is amazing! I didn’t really like Victor’s books, but this is great! In Ronan’s books, (still my favorites!) Gaiana, Tegan, Jo-Ahn, Shi-Fara and Lilly are all impressive girl characters. But I was glad to see Christina’s point of view and learn what happens in Jedi high school.
My 6 year olds review — This was a fun story that made me laugh, my favorite parts were all the fart jokes 😂
Mom review — this is a fun intro to graphic novels. It was written for ages a little older than my 6 year old but it was still fun and he enjoyed it. It was fun to visit the familiar world of Star Wars from a kids perspective
This is the 7th book in the Jedi Academy series and this time focuses on Christina Starspeeder (Victor's older sister). She starts her apprenticeship with several missteps, but ultimately helps save the day. ***spoiler alert: I liked the message about the misuse of social media to distract from the real issues.

Like the rest of this series, this book was a quick read. This is the first book of the Jedi Academy series to show what happens once the students leave the Academy to become padawans. The events of this book overlap with book 6 of the series, so it was nice that that was recognized within the narrative.
Good book and I enjoyed the show,a new study suggests that the history of the world and the history of the United of America and Europe and the history of the world and the history of the world and the history of the world.
Another fun book in the Jedi Academy series, but I felt like there was less back story and conflict than in previous books. It was still enjoyable and made me laugh out loud a few times, though. I also enjoyed the "nod" to The Last Jedi!
My 6 year old son LOVED this book. He says he really enjoyed how Christina Starspeeder saved the Jedi Masters, and she was a very cool character who was brave. He says he would recommend this book to other first graders and people who like Star Wars and comics.
I like the interactions between q-10 and master ro
I chose this rating because the book was adventurous funny. I also like how as Christina was in apprentice school victor(her brother) was still in jedi academy school.
I actually really liked this one. An original plot, bit more actual Jedi stuff, and padawans helping their Jedi Masters! Lots of fun and Cristina figuring out a plot in the making and her pov on Victor which was cute. I think this is the best one in the series 😁👍
I love Jedi Academy and this is a fun installment. We get to follow Cristina on her journey as a Jedi apprentice. Like all the others there is mishaps and mistakes but it ends on a good note. Only two more books in the series!
Christina Starspeeder is excited to be starting her first year at the Jedi Academy at Jesus City until she discovers that her Jedi Master is none other than the famous Skia Ro! Although Christina knows that the Force is in her, she can't help but worry that her classmates, teachers, and Jedi Master will discover that she is a fraud.
Christina learns that everyone, even famous Jedi, have feelings of doubt at some points in their life. She also learns that the key is to gather up her strength and to fight through it.
