{My thoughts} – Moby is back with a all new job adventure. He is always trying to find a nice job where he can help out. In this fun book he gets wrapped up at a construction site where he is moved around from place to place, but his Ninja skills aren't very helpful.

He tries to chop up lumber, hammer some nails and some other things, but it all ends up in a terrible disaster. Eventually he is told that his skills aren't the kind of skills that are useful for a construction job.

As he's getting ready to leave a puppy ends up stuck and Moby saves the day. Moby is the one that helps figure out and get the puppy out.

I really like these books. They are incredibly well done for early readers. There are some fun and bright illustrations on all the pages. The sentences are short and written in a rhyming type formation.

I recommend this book for any beginner reader. These are fun to read. The sentences are in like a thought bubble type manner which makes it an entertaining read. I think that this book and all the rest in the series could definitely become some favorites.

Ninja helps with jobs on a construction site but there is a series of mishaps that leads the foreman to wonder what job he might be able to do efficiently. As in each of the books in this series, the ninja says, "I did my ninja best, you see, I wish there was a job for me." As it turns out, he's able to pair his ninja skills with his creative thinking skills to rescue a dog that is stuck in newly-poured concrete. Fun and full of action words ("Chop! Whack! Crack! Crunch!") and rhyming phrases.

My elementary students just love Moby’s adventures and I know this book will not disappoint! The humor mixed with the positive message that we all make mistakes but can find a way to help always warms my heart (plus kindergarten loves to do little ninja moves whenever we read these books aloud!) I’m very excited to share this newest book with them.

The second Moby book I've read. I was surprised how well the obvious rhyme and strict formula hold up to a second volume. I think this series would be great for emerging readers. Energetic and well-meaning Moby has trouble staying on task, but in the end, he always manages to lend a helping hand.

Moby Shinobi is on the job trying to help build a house. He makes more trouble than actually helping at first. Moby feels down and like he can't help until he helps a doggy stuck in wet cement get out.
