In the Egyptian Realm, the desert is not a place to be trifled with but Kyah and her companions have no choice. It’s the path they must take in order to reach the Port of Alta. From there, they will take the legendary ship, The Argo, to find an entry into Atlantis. The place of Kyah’s birth and also the place where she is meant to fulfill an ancient prophecy.
But Kyah and her legendary friends encounter agents of Erebus in their search for Atlantis. Each dangerous encounter throws their journey off course, causing them to delay even as the darkness continues to rise all around them.
Although, forces of Erebus hinder them at every turn, Kyah carries within her a secret weapon against the darkness. A spark of Aether, the ancient goddess of light and who also happens to be Erebus’ sister.
If she can reach Atlantis before the darkness does, Kyah will be taken to a place where Amun is healing from his wound. Only when Amun returns will death and decay, agents of the darkness, be held at bay.
This fast-paced fantasy will take you on a journey through the forces of darkness where heroes fight with the power of the light. Even if that means fighting with the smallest of sparks.
This was a great mix of all characters from King Arthur, Merlin, Pan, A wolf Shifter and more which makes it such a great read. I though the pace was great as it made time to get to know the characters better as well as give direction for the book. I wasn't sure if I would love the book with the amount of characters but they interwove so well it made the story even better. There is mystery, puzzlement, questions and more to keep you addicted and I can not wait for more from S.E. Wright!
My favorite thing about this series is the mixture of characters. I love the way S.E. Wright has been able to take characters from many different myths and blend them together. The fast-paced adventure is only improved by this band of travelers, and the directions the tale takes is exciting. This is one of those stories you won't want to walk away from once you start reading. I loved it, and I believe any fantasy lover will, too.
I wonder how the story keeps being interesting. A clever and fun use of gods and mythology. Interesting characters. Both me and my granddaughters like it
I love all the Traveller series novels and this one doesn’t disappoint. More legendary figures are introduced in the story and of course, there’s Atlantis! The story is action-packed and hard to put down. I can’t wait for the next book!
