Interesting book, with good explanation. Nevertheless it is sometimes confusing (e.g. Sixt Chapel before or after the restauration?). Also, and this is not a critic regarding the book, I was more a fan of Michelangelo before I read the book than after. This because I am familiar with his famous works, but the lesser known works are not that convincing (e.g. female nude, certain statues not realistic ...).
Standard format. Couple pages bio then one side is picture of art other side of page a short bit about the art. The book is shorter than a normal paperback so some pictures come out really small. Nothing particularly good about the book but nothing particularly bad.
