Hotshot firefighter Trey Peterson is on temporary assignment above the town of Chedwick Washington on beautiful Lake Chelan. He puts in long days working to get the monster wildfire under control. On his short breaks from fighting the flames trying to consume not only the forest but the town, he tangles with Mary Ann Thompson.
Mary Ann is enjoying a summer fling with the hunky firefighter. He's practically a god in bed and fun to be around. It's a relationship with an expiration date and that's just fine with her.
Trey is not so sure he's happy with moving on so quickly. Can he convince Mary Ann to give him a chance for more? That's the million-dollar question.
I started writing late in life. I've always been a reader, devouring Nancy Drew books in grade school right on through to today. But writing is new to me and I am having a blast.
I have four series, all small town contemporary romance.
My Lake Chelan series is centered around a remote town in eastern Washington and all the challenges and shenanigans that go on there. Many of the characters in that series are volunteer firefighters. My father was a volunteer firefighter and walking into a station still smells like home to me. So I am having a lot of fun incorporating my memories into new stories.
My Burlap and Barbed Wire series at this point is Colorado Cowboys all from one family of cattle ranchers living in the Rocky Mountains at the base of Rocky Mountain National Park. Writing a family of siblings finding love has been a lot of fun.
My Saddles and Secrets series code named Wyoming Wranglers is focused on a rescue ranch for geriatric horses. Someone is causing problems and the local sheriff dept. is trying to find the culprit.
My Helluva Engineer series is a nod to my alma mater. The mineral engineers journey across the mountains to help find the gold mine that has recently started contaminating the Rockin' K ranch. Why it's started having poisonous runoff after two hundred years of dormancy, is the real question.
All my books are stand alone so you don't have to read them all or even in order, although it might be more fun to do so.
Join with me as I tell my stories, weaving real tidbits from my life in with imaginary ones. You'll have to guess which is which. It will be a hoot!
I enjoyed this steamy and emotional small town romance. The characters were likable, shared good chemistry and the storyline was fun. Trey and Mary Ann generate plenty of heat and sparks together as hot firefighter works to win this sassy females heart.
3* Trey came to help put out the fires in the mountain he’s part of the hotshot crew. He never hooks up on these jobs as feels it’s unfair on the ladies. Mary Ann met Trey when he helped rescue them from the mountain fires. Taking a risk never to get involved Mary Ann comes up with a solution to help them both, will it work? I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Funloving, enjoyable read...the fourth installment of The Lake Chelan Series gives you MaryAnn and Trey. MaryAnn is Kristen's best friend and co-owner of the local art gallery. Trey is a HotShot Firefighter in town fighting the fire upon the Mountain. The first time Trey saw her he wanted to take her out but he never got involved with locals, however, it appears MaryAnn was a different story, while the heated up the sheets and stayed in touch through text a wonderful new relationship is growing. When the fires end will they be able to keep it? So worth the read it makes you smile throughout the book.
This is the fourth book in this series, and is Trey and Mary Ann’s story. Trey is a hotshot fire-fighter, who is in town briefly. Mary Ann is the towns’ curator, and the chemistry between them is intense, but any relationship will be short lived. This is a well written sweet and fun story which is an emotional and steamy read. I look forward to reading more from this talented author.
This book had a great storyline and was well written. The characters were wonderful and made you feel like you were living the story yourself. It was a cute story and made think how much firefighters give to there community& especially the ones that fight Forrest fires. True heros.
Ahhh I love a fun romance. Mary Ann is quite the character, sure of herself and focused on her small town life and career. Trey, on temporary assignment fighting a nearby wildfire, meets Mary Ann and sparks fly... literally.I was introduced to this series with this book but it reads well as a stand alone. An enjoyable read.
I just had to get the Atlas out to see that the setting in this book is absolutely beautiful. All of the characters, especially Trey and MaryAnn, are very interesting. There book 5 in this series and must end this book's rating so I can start the new story!
This book is about a small town in Washington that in summer was surrounded by wildfires. The hotshot crews in to help take care of it. They stumble on a house up in the Mountains and help the girls evacuate. Mary Ann hit it off with Trey one of the hot firefighters. She agreed to meet him for a beer when he was off. This book is very detailed in some parts overly so. And other parts you know what is happening but nothing is said.
Rating - 3.5 Hot Shot Firefighter meets local girl while in town putting out mountain fire. It gets pretty steamy in this small town. The author paints a very detailed image of the town and it's residents and makes you want to live there.
