I really like the Amish Inn Mysteries. Good escapist books. Fun. Liz Eckardt is a people person. She is the owner of the bed and breakfast Olde Mansion Inn, in the small Indiana town of Pleasant Creek. Liz is an excellent hostess who strives to make sure her clients feel at home. Excellent food, beautiful decorated rooms for clients to enjoy, all the rooms have names. There is the Sew Welcome shop dealing with fabrics, the owners are quilters. Characters come to see and buy these beautiful quilts. The store is located in the ground floor of the B&B. Resident dog is Beans, he is lazy, he loves to eat and sleep.
Liz gets too interested and involved in people and worries much about them. Coming home on the plane from Maine after a B&B meeting, she meets a lovely young woman, Reece Hoffman. The girl seems troubled, which worries Liz. Then, by accident she takes Reece's suitcase. She and her friend, Sadie, who owns a pink jeep, drives to the small town where Reece is visiting. She came to Indiana to see her grandmother. Another ride is used to get there, the pink jeep has been stolen. Who would want such an unattractive ride? Sadie loves her jeep, her pride and joy. Sadie and Liz drive to grandmother's small town to switch suitcases to each right owner. The farm is dark and dreary. The housekeeper seems like someone from a nightmare. Where is grandmother?
Readers meet Jackson, Liz's boyfriend. But there are others in love. A bit of romance in this book. Antiques being stolen, who could be taking them and why? They are valuable. Characters are not who they seem to be. Liz may be in danger. Her friends, the Material Girls, have her back. They may be in danger. The ladies know too much. Some humor is contained in the book. Fun, LOL. This book is exciting. Good escapist lit. Recommended.
Farmed Robbery is a suspenseful mystery written by Marlene Chase in the Amish Inn Mystery series. The author has done a great job telling her story through such wonderful characters. When Liz returns home to the Old Mansion Inn she discovers she has the wrong luggage and decides to track down the young lady she befriended on the plane. When she arrives at a farm far from the city she doesn't feel safe. Bringing Sadie with her was a good idea. When she was turned away without talking to her young friend Liz gets the idea things aren't quite what they should be. What is really happening at this farm? On another note Sadie's hot pink jeep has been stolen and she is hot under the collar. As this mystery plays out will both things be connected together and if so why. Liz being the determined lady she is convinces Sadie to sneak around to help figure things out. What danger lurks within the mysterious barn and how will Liz escape this danger?
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response and all opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

6/21/25-6/23/25 Farmed Robbery (An Amish Inn Mysteries Series) by Marlene Chade The third from last book in the Amish Inn Mysteries Series. The book has the regular characters, Liz Eckardt, the Old Mansion Inn innkeeper, The Material Girls from Sew Welcome’s Quilting group, Jackson Cross, Mayor and Furniture Business owner in Pleasant Creek, Sarah Borkholder, an Inn employee, Stefan, an Inn groundskeeper and maintenance man, Sheriff Stan Houghton and the loveable Inn’s favorable Mascot and Watchdog, Beans. The guests at the Inn do change or some come back to revisit the area - all having their quirks and dare I say some mysteries. Of course, Liz, cannot keep her inquisitive nature out of her quests and those she meets off her radar. She has to do her snooping and investigative looking into, even against the Sheriff’s imploring requests not to! But she just can’t help herself, even when it puts herself in grave danger! This was a decidedly interesting storyline with some humor, some sadness and a big surprise at the end.
