Rate this book
In this collection, eight trains cross the Forth bridge in different metres - including iambic, trochaic and dactylic. This volume includes lyrics and love poems, some of which are set in the author's native Scotland. Death, history and two World Wars are major themes. Poems are included about: an elephant trapped in a World War I trench; the opening of a 2000-year-old tomb in Cairo; and Red Indians at the Paris Exhibition of 1900.
