Sometimes, you have to let the top down and your hair fly free. Especially when you spent so much time, money and effort to buy a fake ID. T'Chezz is working on an attack, but the team doesn't know about it. After the successful fight in Los Angeles, Katie and Pandora are letting their hair down, arguing over donuts and how much Italian food to eat. Then, their investigator contact calls with alarming intel, and Katie is asked to get up close and personal with the politician to find out what he knows. The answer is something no one expected, and will change the course of Korbin's Killers forever.
Scroll back to the top, and click “Read for Free” or “Buy Now” and kick back for a fun supernatural action packed adventure that will have you yelling for the good guys, and laughing at the arguments between Katie and … her . --- This book contains cursing. Perhaps humorous cursing, but cursing nevertheless. If this offends you, I don't suggest reading this book.
KU Another great read in The Damned series with the continuing characters and theme, Pandora her usual vocal and vicious at her best. I love her! Looking forward to the next book appearing anytime soon.
Katie finally gets herself a car!! She loves driving it and Pandora loves it too! Katie goes undercover to a VIP event and confronts the politician!! Finds out that demons are going to attack the base. She heads out at top speed and calls in to the base!! As she gets near the base she sees a rift with demons coming thru. The next Demon is HUGE. The only way she can close the rift and keep the demon from making is to plug it with something. You guessed it the only thing she has is her new car so she heads straight for the rift and jumps out just before it hits!! The car hits the demon and goes into hell along with the demon and the rift closes!! There are a lot of demons to deal with but you will have to read to find out what happens!!
Who could ask for more? The characters have been so well developed that if one is lost, it's like you lost someone you knew. Katie and Pandora have developed a working relationship where, when needed, they can really deliver. Pandora enhances Katie more and beyond what is needed for fighting demons. But there is still the humorous inner dialogue between the two that is one of the best things about the series. They discover surprisingly unexpected help from a place they would never had thought to look. All together, the book was near impossible to put down until the end. I highly recommend this series!
Well, I made a big mistake ... I know, what me? That must be the first one this year! (Maybe the first of 100 would be more like it) LOL. OK, so I had both #3 and #4 in my Que and I read book #4 first. So I will go back and read #3 at a later time. (no spoiler alerts needed).
Again, a fantastic story, great characters and fast moving. You hardly read the first chapter when you find yourself at the end screaming for more. The dog next door actually started howling ... ok, so maybe she was chasing raccoons. But, she was howling! I highly recommend this series, but try to read it in order. Not like some people I know.... LOL
Such an day experience with demons and their human hosts. Both engaging and fun. The characters are believable with serious problems to solve. Stil!I highly recommended for anyone who craves a book with turn-the-page quickly and read fast dialogue. I still am contemplating the value of having chicken nuggets in my life. Keep up the good fight.😸
Katie is arguing with her Demon Pandora, over food, men, clothes, and anything else they think of. But, when push comes to shove, they work together to take out the demons. I like the action, snarky dialogue, and strategy. The Katie and Pandora characters are well done, strong and compelling. The other major characters feel like friends as well. I look forward to the next book.
The way we hear points of view from different characters is interesting and helps to give a broader understanding of the background story, which makes the present more lively as well.
Demon infestation is ramping up, and there’s a push to get rid of Katie/Pandora. We see honour, bravery, and courage as well as determination and loyalty. Katie and Korbin’s Killers won’t let the demons win.
Well this was another beautiful story. Things are definitely heating up for Katie and Pandora. My heart also broke for Katie when she was heading back to the base near the end of the story. Had a few chuckles watching the cookie video and now looking forward to reading the next book.
I think Laurie's and Mike's surprise of "The Damned" success is due to the readers liking their writing style.
Welcome Laurie, to a fan fueled arena, where we are happy to support your prose with our dollars. This series is fun, light reading with enough detail to entertain broad swaths of readers... Who only demand to be fed on a regular basis !!!
Well this is my first review for this series and I love it! It's as good as if not better than buffy! Good action great characters and some seriously funny dialogue! Katie and Pandoras wordplay is brilliant! Also no one is immortal and it's a bit of a choker when a damned is killed but the creed of the damned would be a verse i would want for a tstoo!
Loved the book, I read it in one night. Great characters, great action, sleazy politicians and demons. I have a bone to pick. You do not cool steel with water, you use oil. I think the comments after the steak eating contest beats chicken nuggets Look forward to the next one. 😈
After reading the Author's Note, this volume apparently concludes one story arc and starts setting up another. Unfortunately, that seems to have been at the expense of the action and butt-kicking that I enjoyed in the previous ones. I enjoyed it, just not as much as the previous 3. And it won't keep me from reading the next one.
This was a good book an an interesting universe. I read the first three so long ago that this was more of a standalone book for me. But, there was enough info in the book that it worked just fine like that. Lots of action, some misfortunes happened to a nice new car, and overall was a fun read. I enjoyed this book and recommend it.
Excellent series to read while waiting for more from The Kurtherian Gambit Universe. I would have to say that it's right up there with TKGU. Although you could have picked a better name for Mamasita.;)
I love this book, every one gets better and better. Love Pandora, her attitude and comment are perfect and crack me up. Can't wait to see what Katie and Pandora get into next.
I hate that I have to wait 12 whole days for the next book! Katie and Pandora have quickly become some of my favorite characters. They have great taste in cars and clothes. Makes me want a demon of my own
Katie and Pandora are really becoming very tight knit. Love the interaction between Katie and Damian. Glad the senator has finally got his. But what is happening with Korbin?
This entire series thus far is so DAMNED good!!! Such great characters all with their own flaws and strengths ! Lots of demon ass kicking and snarky good laughs! If you like paranormal ,action or Sci-fi then you WILL love the Damned👹👹👹
I found this book to be kinda pointless to the overall plot of the series. Nothing really major occurs, the final battle scene makes zero sense. Personally I feel like this was similar to a filler episode of anime.
Really enjoying this series so far. The relationship between Katie and Pandora is wicked and funny at the same time. I can't believe Katie lost her Ferrari who Mamacita turned out be. Hurry up with the next one.
I can't get enough of Katie and Pandora, those two crack me up. Pandora is starting to rub off on Katie. (:-) This series keep getting better and better....can't wait to get started on the next book.
A decent story, great characters, but inane banter. I really don’t get why every time they fight a large demon they have to spend ages exchanging pleasantries. In this book Katie had no idea if the demons were killing Joshua or the girls while she had a ‘comic book’ swapping words with the demons.
So sad to see a new comer leave so soon before we got to really know him. And reading the author notes it seems it going to happen quite often...booooo! I am going to cry if it's Korbin or Damian!
What a great story. Such an unusual pairing, a young woman with real integrity and a straight from hell demon. I am enjoying this just as much as everything else written by this incognito author. Definitely worth the read.
