Mama B #8

A Time to Heal

Rate this book
Mama B’s been helping strangers through their issues, but her own daughter may have the biggest problem of them all—a problem with Mama B! When Cassandra invites her mother to a “therapy” session, the accusations launched are enough to send Mama B into a tizzy. Throw in some drama from her new job, the other siblings’ knee-jerk responses to Cassandra, and a high-speed chase (at 60 miles per hour), and Mama B’s got her hands full trying to keep her family together. But Mama B fans know she has her own way of standing up to a spiritual attack, and it sure don’t involve fussin’ and arguin’ with folk. She knows exactly where to turn for Help. This is the eighth book in the award-winning, best-selling Christian fiction Mama B series.

Won’t He do It!

Still love Mama B. She always finds a way to help others to find and rest in the Lord even when she’s a little lost herself. This one was especially moving. Sometimes life and healing are only a matter of perspective.

Mama B: A Time to Heal is a great fun and exciting read with just the right touch of healing and deliverance. You will definitely get in a chuckle or two or three…alright, you will be laughing out loud. Mama B is no stranger to helping and ministering to others in her true Mama B fashion, but just as the house is empty of her usually house guest in need of help, she is hit with the unexpected. Her daughter Cassandra is the next project in need of help. Although it catches Mama B off guard and she takes a few hits, she is not one to be counted out. She quickly turns to her ultimate source. Mama B is determined to fight for her family, her children; Cassandra in particular. Mama B turns to what she knows best and what has always worked; the power of prayer, fasting and interceding. Although she is in her 70’s, she still has spunk, energy and a sweet clap back that will cut and heal all at the same time. She will have you saying ouch and amen all in the same sentence. Mama B: A Time to Heal is a book that once you pick it up, you will want to finish it. It’s a just one more page type of page-turner. It is fun to read, full of laughs, but filled with the truth and practical inspirations that hit home. You feel the sincerity and realness of the characters as you read through the pages. This book is full of fun, memorable moments that will last a lifetime. It is truly a book that you will enjoy from the beginning to the end.

I just love reading about Mama B. Mama B has always been good with helping others through their situations. The question is when trouble comes to her front door will she be able to handle it.

Mama B feels lonely now that her friend Libby has died, Opheila is trying to move and her husband is busy with work. Then she finds out that her daughter has issues with her. Mama B keeps busy by getting a segment on the radio and continues to pray her way through her obstacles. I love how this story shows the human side of what we would do in any given situation. The bottom line is every situation we are placed in we need to give it to God. We have learned a lot from Mama B in this series.

Great Job Michelle Stimpson for connecting us with Mama B. I really enjoyed reading this page turner.

Spiritually sound answers to real living.

I have enjoyed all of Mama B's books, but this one was especially timely. So many connections to real life problems - with God-inspired solutions.
Mama B is disciplined to go to God AND to follow where the Holy Spirit leads. Jesus loves us so much! He really does care about the messy details of our lives. We need to stand in the gap for those around us. God has a g good plan for each of us.
Read this book and learn to walk the walk God intended while falling in love with Mama B and every character in her life.
Thank you, Michelle Stimpson, for your faithfulness in your busy life to meet the needs in your reader's lives as we journey through this earthly walk.

Book number 8 of Mama B and I'm just as in love with these book as Book Number 1. I think this maybe my favorite one. Inbthis book we catch up with Mama B, who is still retired and filled with the holy ghost. Until she gets a call from her daughter Debra Kay who relays some disturbing news about. Her other daughter Cassandra. While this news shocks Mama B being the prayer driven woman she is she doesn't react like I would. Along the way Cassandra feelings are revealed and it wouldn't be a Mama B book without some lessons to learn for both Mama B and Cassandra. But in the end, time heals all. Thank you for another great book.

In the eighth book in the series, Mama B is confronted by her youngest daughter, Cassandra. She wants her mother to come to a counseling session and address some childhood trauma issues. Unfortunately, nobody realized there was an issue until now, and once again, Mama B turns to her prayer closet. When Cassandra moves in, healing begins.

I loved this book and the lessons that @stimpson.michelle always manages to convey in her books. Mama B backs it up with a little bit of scripture and a whole lot of prayer. Mix that with the comic relief, and it equals an amazing book. Favorite character is Mama B and the least favorite is the bootleg therapist.

Go check this series out for yourself.

Thanks

2 things, I always finish Mama B books and say I wish I was like Mama B. Then I remember I'm reading about a fictional character. That's the impact her stories have on me. I learn so much about me and the Lord. So inspiring. Secondly, my daughter, husband and I are always amazed at the stuff my other daughter says about growing up. Through this book I've gain a different perspective that will help us help her gain a different perspective and not walk in the darkness of her version of how things were. Thank you this story is a blessing

Page Turner!!!

As always, Michelle delivered! I am a huge fan of her books. The Mama B series happens to be one of my favorites. As always, I could NOT stop reading. Her characters come alive as I read about them. I always wind up wanting more. Mama B's relationship with the Lord and transparency reminds us as Christians the importance of our own relationship with our heavenly father. It encourages the reader to want more encounters with Holy Spirit, more prayer time, more obedience, and more love. I am looking forward to the next book!

I love Mama B! Ironically I am presently going tnrough

I love 💘Mama B. Ironically I am presently going through a similar situation with one of my adult daughters. This book have me some things to consider. While it is a good book, it feels like it was skimming the surface. Also, Lillian was one of her best friends and has been in other Ma!ma B's book. More attention could have been given to her. I did enjoy the book and I am looking forward to read her next book.

Awesome!

The most important thing to me What is that Mama B! was not perfect and she processed through things just like we would process through things. God will tell us something and we disobey and Holy Spirit will remind us of what is right and when to be quiet and when to to speak. I love her honesty and her openness and the way that she interacts with God is awesome because it’s so similar to mine.

Always a great read

Mama B has me hooked. I’ve read many of Michelle’s books but this series but this one really is IT for me. It feels like self help in some ways. I’m challenged to be like Mama B and to incorporate prayer in everything. She’s literally my grandmother’s age being almost 80 so I never imagined I’d enjoy these as much as I have. Wholesome. Realistic. One of the BEST of Christian fiction series I’ve read.

Life Lessons

This was a wonderful book. It blended a Bible study and real life situations perfectly. If you know God for yourself you can get a life lesson as you turn the pages. This was excellent study I relationships. We were taught how to connect with God. Once we get that relationship right everything in our lives should fall in line. I'm sure I'll be reading more books by this author.

SO GOOD

I've been to many, many prayer meetings, Bible studies and just plain church. But, Mama B is who has given me insight on how to pray, how to have warfare thru prayer and how to shine with Jesus light. I've always loved Jesus, but have gone thru really hard times in the last few years. I didn't handle those times well and am now, clawing my way back to Him. Thank you for Mama B. I wish she lived next door.

Like coming home! Mama B is family, wise, flawed, comfortable and spiritual. She's quick to lend a hand. And she's learning to listen before speaking! Loved this story of her dealing with her grown daughters - Debra Kay and Cassandra. Her husband, Frank, is another treasure. Mama's "house of healing," continues. ..
Voluntarily read ARC for honest review.

Childhood feelings carry over to adulthood

Mama B never disappoints when getting a rather through. Cassandra prove that there can be 2 or more children raised in the same house and as adults each one has a different opinion on what happened. I enjoyed this book. God is still on the throne and prayer does change things.

Another Mama B classic! As always, this book was just as strong and informative as Book # 1 of Mama B. As a child, I remember seeing things one way, but as I became an adult, I saw it in a totally different light. Great job Michelle Stimpson!!

Great Book

Characters well developed and great job of setting each scene. I could picture the restaurant, her kitchen and the radio station. No characters introduced were lost. She brought each character full circle. Great read.
