Law and Romance!
This book had so many of the ingredients I love to see in any book I'm reading. Dangerous, sexy, alpha male lead...check. Law, order and corruption...check! No nonsense, bad, tough as nails female lead with a sensitive side...check! And finally, lots of drama, romance, and smoking hot scenes! This is my first read by this author. And although it was released last year, since I knew it would end on a cliffhanger, I decided to wait on book 2 before I started it. And boy am I glad I did, since it ended up being 10 months later when we got the second part! So I'm sure it's gonna be well worth the wait. I'll be checking out the rest of the S.K. Hardy catalog as well. Very good start, can't wait to see how it all ends!

I’ve been waiting for over a year to read this book and wow it was worth the wait! Clear your mind , this book will take you by surprise, and make you hot, but it’s more than that. The chemistry between Hawk and Raven sizzles and I was crossing my legs and clutching my pearls as I read it . The story is more than sex ,the drama will have you sitting on the edge of your seat to see what happens next. I am so looking forward to reading bathos series . I received a arc copy of this book for an honest review .

Pattels
I waited until I had book two in hand before I partake in this saga. It was so worth it. I knew Raven was gonna be a beast and I was right. Won't give away too much but this is definitely a series you want to read. SK I had no doubt.

These Pattels are bringing the heat. Yep Yep Yep. I'm hooked just as I knew I would be. I so agree what you said..... #TheBirdPeople need a two book deal to tell a realistic story. They are both so strong willed, that trying to wrap it up in one book would leave the reader feeling rushed and unfulfilled.
I hate spoilers so all I will say is that the chemistry between THE BIRD PEOPLE Hawk and Raven is undeniable...
I was so proud of Angel in this book. He showed a little less harsh side of him. Especially when it came to Raven. I'm just afraid that he may have his own agenda tho.
The cliff hanger was a great tease to keep true fans wanting more..

Worth the wait
S.k. Hardy is one of my favorite authors. I buy the book to read on a business trip so I can enjoy alone away from family.. Trip was cancel at the last minute, start reading the book on Wednesday night now finish on the Friday evening.. Totally loved Hawk and Raven the chemistry, sexual tension kept us cheering for this couple.. Loved see Angel and Nikki also..The only thing I dislike was the ending, please don't keep us hanging on too long.. Summer does start in the month June, and maybe in fall we can get the Pattel brother book... I don't review enough but I do own all of yo r books. Keep up the good work S.K.Hardy

My SK is back... I LOVE YOU SKKKKKKK. So the Pattel boys are back mainly that damn baby boy Hawk. He has always had my attention But now OMG. Hawk has this presence about him that commands your attention. Well Well Well what can I say about Raven.... I started off hating her with a double passion, but I kinda like her now. Hawk and Raven has a good chemistry between them once they got passed a few rode block. I don't know what the future holds but I pulling for them.
However them Pattels better get ready for Angel cause he don't play about his family and that all I gotta say......

I'm really struggling with the rating for this one because I REALLY enjoyed it but....it just didn't give all that I needed to give.
Hawk and Raven are two forces moving on converging paths. Hawk Pattel is a part of a prominent and dangerous crime family and Raven is an assistant district attorney on a mission to take the Pattels down. However, because of their family and aquantances, they are in eachothers orbit, and while they both have NO BUSINESS giving the other the time of day, their chemisty is undeniable and its only a matter of time before they both fall victim to it.
The chemistry and tension between Hawk and Raven is really the only thing that kept me invested and interested in this story. Everytime these two encountered one another, I was all in. But this book suffers an issue for me, that a lot of books suffer. That being there was no DEPTH. Beyond the physical attraction Hawk and Raven had or one another, there was really nothing shared about them to me as the reader or even to eachother as characters to make it believable to me that they would fall for another.
Its hard for me to believe that Hawk or Raven could have actual and genuine "feelings" for one another and risk both their freedom on Hawks end and their career on Ravens end, when to my knowledge they really only had one real conversation with eachother in the entire book. All of their interactions were centered around either their physical attraction to one another or the push and pull they were dealing with in wanting to be involved with one another but being from different universes or opposite sides of the tracks.
And that for me is what takes from the authenticity. I understand that there may have been "off page" interactions of them getting to know one another, etc. But I want to see those things! I want to reading about them falling for one another. I want to know the things that make them attracted to eachother as people and not just to eachothers bodies. And that was just completely missing.
BUT...but, S.K. Hardy DID do a good job with everything else. The dialogue between them when they were talking was engaging and made me believe the words coming out of their mouths about eachother. I believe that they were attracted to one another. I believed they enjoyed eachothers company. All of the things. But for this to have gotten a higher rating for me, would have required that extra layer and that depth.
All in all though, the story was good enough for me to want to continue on and see what is going to happen in the next installment which will be told from Hawks perspective.

Worth The Wait, But Still Waiting!
I've waited 4 years to read Hawk Pattel's and Raven Randolph's book. The book doesn't disappoint but there are surprises in the characters of Raven and Hawk. Yes, this is a stand-alone book, it would help if you read the Sin City Series in order. If you only read two, read Angel's Wrath and No Greater Loyalty. They give insight into Hawk and Raven.
Hawk and Raven are fully developed in this book. However, they didn't live up to their characters who were introduced in previous books. Hawk was Alpha and ruthless in getting what he wanted but the humor was missing from him in this book which made him so likeable despite his family. Raven, so unlikable in previous books because of her judgmental attitude, is weak and gives in too easily to Hawk. She got her comeuppance in this book. I hope it makes her more understanding of Angel's and Nikki's relationship.
There was plenty of drama and intrigue in this book to keep you reading straight through. I was surprised by the actions of some of the minor characters and didn't see their duplicity coming. Isaac Pattel is evil and ruthless with Joseph Pattel being as ruthless. I would have enjoyed more of the sons interaction in this book rather than a brief mention. Hawk wasn't afraid to stand up to either of them to help Raven.
Are Hawk and Raven in love? What will Hawk do when he finds Raven missing? What happens with Raven's job as ADA and how will it affect her relationship with Hawk? Will Angelo help her stay hidden because of his love for Nikki or will his business ties to the Pattels and anger with Raven's last actions cause him to give her up? Will/Can any of the sons handle their father of uncle, Isaac and Joseph? What happens with those in the DA's office who covered up the crime and the ones who helped the Pattels by giving them information regarding ongoing investigations of the Pattels?
This is Part 1 of a two part book which means there's more to come. I didn't think the book ended in a cliffhanger just part 1 ended. You were told this was a two part book with a cliffhanger so you may want to wait until both parts are out before purchasing. The sex in the book wasn't as erotic or descriptive as in the other Sin Series Books. There were more editing oversights than I remember from her other books. I won't wait with bated breath for part 2 because I may suffocate while waiting. I just hope it doesn't take as long as it did for this first book. Part 2 is supposed to be out this summer.

I waited to read book 1 of Hawk and Raven’s story until book 2 was published. The time has finally come. S.K. fans have been waiting for the Pattel story since Hawk had Raven hemmed up at Angel and Nikki’s house in one of the Sin City books. I highly recommend the complete Sin City series before starting this one. Hawk and Raven have denied this strong connection and unleashed passion for so long. I kept thinking; how is SK going to write about the Assistant DA falling for a member of the biggest crime family in New York? If anybody can do it, S.K. and this Tory is very well written. Hawk has stolen many scenes he is a part of in the Sin City series. His character is written as sexy, intriguing and a little scary. Raven is quite frankly hard to like in the Sin City series. At the end of the day, she’s a true D.A. and will do anything to protect her family. Hawk breaks Raven all the way down. When Hawk and Raven get together, their chemistry and passion for each other is off the charts.
S.K. tells a story like no other and always includes drama and suspense throughout. The reader feels like they are right in the middle of scene after scene. The imagery is written really well. it’s best to read this book over a weekend, or when there is plenty of time set aside. S.K. makes it clear they there is a cliffhanger and I definitely appreciate that. As I stated above, the Sin City series is a must read before starting this one.

Book 1 of the Pattel series takes readers on a journey into this underworld that show family is over everything..and anyone. Hawk is ready to wring Raven's panties from under her that will also keep his family off the DA's radar. But will she capture his heart and even still, will love be able to keep them together..and unscathed?
Listen my jaw is still on the floor from the last 10% of this book. I was set to give it a strong 4 but that ending was surely a 5! Like in the Sin City heat series, Raven and Hawk's chemistry is scorching hot to the touch of the page! I'm surprised Raven didn't get burned up in the process of trying to stay away. Her body is not her own here and Hawk uses his charms so well...maybe too well to entrap Raven in his claws. There was a lot of build and I always enjoy that in enemies to lovers themes. SK does a great job of showing how brutal these Pattels can really be. The twist and turns and how they all came together was very suspenseful. Lort, talk about the unpredictable! I can't wait to tear into part 2!

This book has me in my feelings right now. SK is a gifted story teller and she did not disappoint in this first installment of the Pattels series. Hawk and Raven have been circling each other since Angel's Wrath from the Sin City Heat series and were explosive throughout the pages of their story.
Readers will see a different side of Hawk that show this character's growth since the Sin City Heat series. Raven is a strong-spirit and very passionate about her work. She has been chomping at the bit to get the Pattels and does not need the distraction of Hawk Pattel. However, when there is explosive attraction and interaction, fireworks are going to ignite.
This was a page turner with SK's knack for the plot twists. This book will have readers wondering what is up next for this couple. Great read and a must have for your kindles. Loved it

Welcome back S.K. Hardy. This story had you at the beginning to the very end. This was a great read and can be read as a standalone but I suggest reading the entire Sin City Series.
Hawk and Raven are explosive together. Their interaction with each other are dynamic and complex. S.K. knows how to tell a story. This was just wow. I know she took a break from writing but this book was well worth the wait. Stand up S.K. Hardy and take a bow because you did the darn thing on this book. BRAVO BRAVO.

Hawkkkkk!!!!
Yes yes and yasssssssss baby!!!!! SK has DONE IT AGAIN!!! I have been waiting on Hawk and Raven story and when I say it was EXCELLENT IT WAS EXCELLENT!!!! This story had my attention from the VERY FIRST WORD UNTIL THE LAST WORD!!! SK story telling will have your mind set dead directly in the scene. I felt like I was at the movies watching the big screen. I'm not the one to give away spoilers in my reviews so I will leave you with this HAWK PATTEL IS THE MAN!!!!! EXCELLENT story SK and I can not wait to read the next book in this series!

Hawk and Raven
The energy between the 2 is amazing Hoping they can endure the odds such as Nikki and Angel. Would like to know more about what the younger Pattel’s are doing. How Darrell and his siblings are bonding after losing there mom. I didn’t like Isaac putting his hands on her. As terrified as she was she held her on. I wish she would of kicked him where the sun don’t shine. She refused to be a puppet. I love how Hawk came to rescue. Waiting patiently for Hawk’s side of the story

I’ve been waiting a long time to read this book and it was great! S. K. Hardy is one of my favorite authors. She does an excellent job at creating vivid characters and most of all she knows how to create some of the hottest, most intense alpha males. Raven and Hawk’s attraction was absolutely palpable. The harder Rae tried to resist , the more she was sucked into Hawk’s web of sexy broodiness. I was so tense reading this book because there were so many twists that I never saw coming. There were several WTF moments that made this story even better. I can’t wait to read Book 2!

I can't wait for book 2 and No little tidbits this time just let it all roll out with that book lol. Anyway Ms. SK this was well worth the wait. This is the love journey of hawk and raven. Hawk is part of a very dangerous family on the wrong side of the law and Raven is the ADA all set and ready to take them down. Both Raven and hawk are their own person and Phyllis and very sure of them selves so you can imagine Wendy’s to get together romantically it’s very explosive! I can’t wait to find out what happens with them in SK Hardy’s next book about them! Very exciting can’t wait!!

CANNOT WAIT FOR BOOK 2!!!
This book took a hold of me from the first chapter and didn’t let go until completion. I took off 1 star due to editing, no misspelled word, just words where they shouldn’t be, I feel an author of Miss Hardy’s caliber should not have these type of errors.
This book took a hold of me from the first chapter and didn’t let go until completion. Omgggggg!!!
OK let me start off at saying Jenelle got on my last nerve overthinking everything, but then I had to understand that she is actually an ADA so it’s her job to do that. Hulk is definitely a bae and I think his feelings are true so I can’t wait to see what happens between them two. I like to see it comes from Hawks perspective. I really enjoyed the book it was a great read and I’ve waited a long time and I can’t wait to the next one drops.

Finally!!!
Been waiting for this story for a while, and so far, soooo good! I decided to wait to start the series when Part 2 was released and I’m glad I did.
When I tell you, I read this book with my heart in my throat! I kept saying ‘Raven, what are you doing?!’ But after Hawk put that thang on her, my girl was a goner. I was so nervous that Raven was going to be exposed, and never saw all those twists and turns coming. This was a wild ride!
Moving on to Book 2.

Worth The Wait
Omg this book was sooo good. Hawk and Raven story has been a long time coming. S.K you did not disappoint us. I can feel the hotness between these to in all the pages of this book. I know they better get their happy ending in pt 2. Love this book. Excellent job S.K. Can't wait to read the conclusion to their story.

Loved it!
OMG!!!!! This was a long time coming I am so glad that we finally got a glimpse of Raven and Hawk story. Their love is going to be the greatest adventure and fight of all times. It was good read from Ravens point of view but now I cannot wait to read Hawks point of view! To get into his head and his feelings is going to be fantastic!!!!

Explosive!!!!
Wow!!! This was exactly as I expected it to be and more. The chemistry between Raven Randolph and Hawk Patel is electrifying and explosive as expected. The plot was an absolute page turner and I just couldn't get enough.
This reminds me of exactly why I'm a big fan of this author. I'll be anxiously waiting for the second book. This book comes highly recommended.

Never put it down
Can't wait for book 2. It was the perfect page turner. I have been waiting for Hawk and Raven' s story since their introduction in the sin city series. It was everything I anticipated and more. Great story line, plot, and the perfect ending to keep me wanting more. S.K. Hardy is one of my favorite authors.

What can I say oh boy. What a dam good read once I started didn't want to stop reading. You have out done yourself. Hawk played Raven like a trombone. He was something else he definitely knew how to work women.

HOT! HOT!
S.K. has done it again. Hawk and Raven story is the ultimate love story. Two different worlds that have Collided and two people who's attraction can't be avoided. The question is will love win out or not. I can't wait to read the next book. I definitely recommend this book.

My mouth is hanging open because there was so much going on in this book!! Can I just start by saying Hawk is book bae for real, for real? Raven is working my nerves. Actually, she is tapdancing on them. She’s so self centered and self righteous. The way she treats people in the name of doing the right thing is foul. Can’t wait to see what Hawk has to say in this sequel!
