A collection of two Bengali novels, viz. "Meghroudrer Khela" and "Panchataantir Karcha" for young adults. The first novel deals with the life of a Bengali boy (and his mother and sister) from a displaced family in post-colonial rural Bengal. The second revolves around the life of a girl (and her adoptive father) in a late nineteenth century Bengali village . Together they trace the sweeping and tragic changes in the lives of Bengali people at the beginning and end of the Raj.
