⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2! El Pecador, book 2 of 2. An impossible, forbidden love saga between a girl & her savior, larger-than-life Damien Montero, “El Santo”!

“I may not be a Dom, but I do fuck like one.”

Books in duet should be read in order:
Book 1: El Santo
Book 2: El Pecador

In El Santo, book 1 18-year old regime enforcer Damien Montero aka “El Santo” became the ward of 9-year old Amira aka Muñeca after he was involved in the brutal murder of her family. Amira grew up hidden from the regime with Damien sheltering her, keeping her at arm’s length while sending a hopeful girl mixed signals about a love that could never be.

El Pecador, book 2 opens up after book 1’s shocking and devastating ending. It details years of separation until their explosive reunion. What follows is a lust-filled hold-cold unraveling of events. With danger on their tracks and the truth always a step away they are players in a viscous charade of power, corruption, violence, secrets, greed and revenge set on tearing and keeping them apart.

Told from dual POVs, is whirlwind tale spanning over two decades. The long road back in Damien and Amira’s against-all-odds forbidden love with the perfect blend of intrigue, suspense, angst, steam, shockers and forgiveness! My heart hurts for all the years lost, all the moments sacrificed and all the secrets kept.

“Amira, I’m the man who owns you, and your pussy only comes for me. Got it?”

“I'm good at making up alibis, covering shit up. Remember motherfucker, I am the law".

El Pecador is the highly anticipated conclusion to “El Santo and if you thought that things couldn’t get any more worse, you're in for one rude awakening. I’m so emotionally exhausted right now, I honestly don’t even know wtf to do with myself.

If you’ve read the previous book in this series, then you know all about the crazy cliffhanger that made some of us almost go to jail. El Pecador picks up immediately after and I couldn’t have been more happy for that. But my smiley face quickly turned into a WTF face because this author decided that we should be drinking during the first chapter!! I’ve always had a knack for guessing the story plots early on but let me tell you… I did NOT see these coming!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Damien and Amira’s reunion was not only long awaited, but complex , extremely messy and filled with dangerous consequences. This was not your regular couple who you knew was going to have a simple happily ever after. They fought hard and made some unbelievable sacrifices all in the name of love and as readers, we felt it.

I didn’t agree with everything in this story and in my opinion, certain scenes were dragged out too much. I think that if the story was shorter, I would’ve enjoyed much more but it was definitely made up with a lot of surprises. I’m still reeling from a few of them because it takes a lot to shock me and this one more than delivered.

If you’re looking for a dangerous and sexy forbidden romance, then this series is for you.

"I was always the sinner."
description

El Pecador is the second book in the Saint-Sinner Duet. A contemporary romance with unforgettable characters, Damien and Amira are back and when love and life are on the line there is nothing that will keep them apart.

description
"Consequences be damned. Love taught you. Love changed you. It could bring out the best and the worst in you. Because above all else, I knew right then and there love could fucking destroy you."
El Pecador picks up directly after El Santo. Damien has left Amira in Cuba and ventures to America in order to move on from the demons of his past. Although he tries to find comfort in the fact that Amira is safe, he cannot seem to forget her and ends up stumbling through his life. Becoming a political powerhouse, years pass as Damien struggles to forget Amira. Finally, when the two are reunited it is amidst unbelievable circumstances. Amira's life has changed drastically and she is no longer the kind, sweet, "Cuban princess". Damien and Amira were always meant to be and yet, when plunged into violent and heartbreaking circumstances both struggle to find their way out of the dark.

description
"I would be nothing after she was finished with me, living in a nightmare of my own sins."
Told in dual POV, El Pecador offers a complex plot with a plethora of action and suspense. The time lapses in the beginning of the story only compounded the intensity as the wait for Amira and Damien to be reunited continued to loom. Certain elements of the read were slightly unbelievable and yet, the crazy frenzy of the tempo of the plot only increased the anticipation of what was going to happen next. I felt both Damien and Amira transformed their love from their early years and had much to overcome. In addition to the non-stop action and suspense, some interesting (and very memorable) supporting characters enter the scene and leave us wondering what will possibly happen next.

description

Overall, El Pecador offers an emotional and explosive conclusion to the Saint-Sinner Duet. I have long been a fan of M. Robinson's work and as always her writing keeps me on the edge of my seat. With just enough angst, action, and smoking hot passion, El Pecador offers a plot-twisting end to Damien and Amira's epic love story.

4.5 waiting in the stars
We were Heaven and Hell.
Andromeda and Perseus.
Damien and Amira.
Till the end.

A man who has done it all, and seen it all, with nothing left to loose...having left the only piece of him that mattered, his Muñeca, his heart. Years passed and in walks in a vision hr thought he would never see again, all but forcing him feel all he has lost and now that she is back, there is no way in hell he’s ever letting go, no matter the cost…

Nothing, I mean, nothing, could have prepared me for El Pecador … What a fucking ride! This was just one mind fuck over mind fuck, and it all you could do was hold on for dear life and pray you would make it out alive. It is something that devours you and just hold you captive, waiting for how these two tortured stars could ever get their peace. Damien and Amira switch roles this time around, I guess you can say they each get a taste of their own medicine and it adds an extra level of spice to the mix. They come to their own, but more importantly they come together as one. Completely raw, gritty, erotic, angst driven, it is one unforgettable love story.

Title: El Pecador (Saint-Sinner #2)
Author: M. Robinson
Genre: Romance, Dark

ARC
Can't say she didn't warn us, right?

El Pecador is the type of book which makes you go " thank God he finally took his head out of his ass" 🤣 I'm sorry but that cliffhanger in the previous book pissed me off ..but in the best possible way 😉

Ever been in a situation where you felt this sense of complete elation only to have this immense sense of frustration right along side it? That was El Pecador.... Luckily for us... M. Robinson showed us some mercy because hooray! Hooray! 🙌 This book is the perfect end to a perfect duet!
Honestly speaking? I am exhausted! I am wrecked! I am content...I am happy.
El Pecador is a crazy book... it's frustrating, it's intense, it's filled with shocking twist and I loved every moment of it 😍

I can't fault this book... The characters were imperfectly perfect for me, the element of danger was palpable which made El Pecador even more addictive.

It's suffice to say that I am going to miss Damien and Amira..I mean come on! Even their names are perfect! 🤣

Brace yourself for an intense book! This book...you won't believe it until you read it!

Happy Reading!

The Queen of Angst delivers her best book yet!

★★SPOILER-FREE REVIEW★★

Gahhhh!!! Words can’t express how I am feeling right now. I just finished reading one of my top favorites of 2018! My heart is so full of emotions at the moment! I mean, how do you move on from one of M Robinson’s best series yet? I can’t and I won’t- at least not for a while.

M has blown my mind once again with this amazing conclusion! I don’t know how she can top this book! It was EVERYTHING and so much more! Just when I thought I knew how the story would go, M would blindside me with all her twists.

After that freakin’ cliffy in El Santo I was dying for more #TeamDamira and was lucky to beta read for it too😉. I’ll admit I was bummed that El Santo ended in a cliffy, but this sequel was necessary and so worth the wait!

I never go into the plot when it comes to M’s books; they need to be experienced with no spoilers. All I can say is be ready for an emotional and intense roller coaster that will have you swooning hard and crying even harder in some parts. Expect lots of heart clenching moments as well! M never makes it easy for any of her couples and this one isn’t the exception.

Damien and Amira were killing it in the book! They were such a dynamic duo, all the secondary characters were awesome too! I loved them both so much and still remain my favorite couple! The epilogue was amazeballs and so heartwarming. Have your tissues and wine ready and enjoy the ride! I can’t believe it’s over 😩 but I’m so happy that Noah and Skyler’s book is next! 💙

This book has wreaked havoc on my soul since the beginning. The ups and downs of it. By far, my favorite book. You can feel all their love. All their pain. All of it. The angst. The suspense. The hatred. The love. The heartbreak. Every ounce of it drips from the words M has written. We knew Damien wasn't going to be easy. We knew it was going to be better than the others before it. That's the beauty of her words. Each book sets the bar so high for the next one. I seriously can't think of another person who writes the way she does, or who puts so much of themselves in every book. I know it's hard on her, all the voices in her head. I don't know how she does it. She blows my mind. Every. Time.
El Pecador is taking M to the next level.
He upped the anty.
ARE YOU READY?!
Can you handle it?
Handle him?
The one.
The only.

El Pecador is the conclusion of the story of Damien and Amira. M. Robinson once again takes her readers down an emotional rollercoaster full of unexpected twist and turns in this suspenseful romance. Since this book is the conclusion of the story, I will be very vague as to what to expect since the story of Amira and Damien is about uncovering layers of their vulnerability, past, and secrets.

As much as I enjoyed this book, it was not my favorite of M. Robinson. The story of Damien and Amira was a bit too long for me and I personally felt the ending could have gone in a different route than what was expected. But while that may anger many readers, I do applaud M. Robinson for giving a story that was gritty and sexy with her own personal touch. So if you are looking for an intense, suspenseful, passionate second chance romance then this duet may be the book for you.

Top read of 2018!!! My heart is still dealing with all the emotions. The Queen of Angst has outdone herself. The angst in this book is on a new scale. #TeamDamira This duet couldn't have a better conclusion. Expect the unexpected. Just when you think you know what is going things take a different turn. Enjoy the ride! I know I did

‘More guilt. More memories. More. Fucking. Demons. I was certain about one thing and one thing alone – when I walked out of this room, I would take her love…Her devotion…Her innocence and virtue…With. Me. Every story had an ending…And this was ours. This would destroy her. I. Would. Destroy. Her. In a way, I never thought I could.’

Wow, we just finished El Pecador, which is the continuation to El Santos and must be read in order; and what a sequel it was. We felt like we’ve run a gauntlet of emotion, an epic journey that cleverly drew together the worlds of so many of M Robinson’s beloved characters. We were dying to find out what would happen to Damien and Amira and it certainly wasn’t an easy path to tread. Drama filled with heart-break, angst, intense emotion, more twists than we could foresee but with this Author’s trademark passion and heat.

“We’re written in the stars, surrounded by nothing but darkness and the love we’ve always had for each other. Since day fucking one!”

Monica Robinson is an incredible writer whose stories and characters have such depth and are truly compelling to read, she takes her readers’ hearts and makes them suffer but somehow you confidently know that everything has a purpose in preparation for that overwhelming moment that’ll take your breath away and make it all worth it. It’s an undeniable gift.

‘I loved her with every last breath in my body, every piece of my dark fucked up heart, every last part of my being belonged to her.’

‘…a man with no soul destroys everything in his path. Including himself.’

Damien -hate him or love him- this man’s an arsehole at times but we love him without question and we know his heart is good, his vulnerability is evident despite his violent ruthlessness. His passion is sincere and without conditions despite his controlling and dominating ways. He’s a conundrum as he walks the line of both bad and good. All stemming from his past growing up in Cuba under a violent regime. He’s made decisions guided by his heart and for years they’re decisions which haunt him. He left his love behind, Amira- in order to save her from himself. Years pass with no word of her life and what truly happened as Damien continues to merely exist. Damien fights for everyone he holds close to his heart with his entire being, he’s an incredible man and we defy anyone not to fall in love with him.

‘I was always the sinner, but for the first time in my life…I had hope that the saint would prevail to win my angel.’

Amira is such a kick arse heroine. With what she’s been through- both the horrific tragedy which no child should ever have to experience as well as losing the love of her life we were so worried for what had become of her. Fighting battles beyond her control yet this wonderful girl shows everyone just what she’s made of and sticks her middle finger right up at life. Some people weather the storm of life others stare it right in the eye asking is this the best you can do. Bring it.

“I hate you.” “You wish you fucking hated me.”

This duet is about surviving and overcoming the tragedies in life. About war, love and hope. Violence and romance. Good and evil. Consequences of actions beyond control. It’s a story of two hearts having to build a life despite missing the other half of their soul. It’s a story of forgiveness. A romance written in the stars- where without the darkness you wouldn’t be able to see their light nor be blinded by their brilliance.

‘She wanted to save me. I wanted to save her. Never realizing we needed to save ourselves.’

I have just finished a book that WILL BE on my top of 2018 books.  Last November, I began El Santo and thought - who is this man Damien?  Is he a man or a monster.  But through the beauty of M. Robinson's writing and storytelling, I fell in love with a monster.  A man who was trapped in a life he never asked for.  El Pecador begins where Ms. Robinson left off, she left us hanging and picked it up with an absolute BANG!

The love story of Damien and Amira is nothing as you would expect, guns, and mobsters, District Attorney's all mixed into the most dynamic and compelling relationship that spans 20 years and countless obstacles. Wrapped in lies, secrets and 2 seriously strong people, as the story continues and the layers are peeled away, you will be entrenched and rooted in their lives and you will never want to leave.

As I have always expected from M. Robinson, I read a story that was nothing as I expected.  Her evocative writing style and storytelling ability have once again entranced me.  Be prepared to binge read this book, be prepared with tissues and alcohol because you will surely need both.  If you think about grabbing an oxygen tank for the MULTIPLE OMG moments, yes MULTIPLE.  The twists and turns are abundant, the feels are endless - from sadness to elation, to surprise to absolute euphoria - Monica Robinson has once again blown me away.   The epilogue is a perfect ending to a tale that will forever be in my soul.

The wait was a longer than expected but the twist and turns with this book reflect the extra time that was taken!! Once again M. Robison has drawn us to this couple of Damien and Amira, left us hanging and now has provided us a story that shows love has its own time line and forgiveness doesn’t come easy. Damien and Amira’s story is not for the faint of heart but that in the end the skies never lie. Another amazing story from this brilliant author and even a sneak peak into what comes next!!

Monica Robinson has ruined my perfect smokey eye makeup with this book and end.

And yet I love her. She writes the most complex plots that keep the reader engaged and falling in love. This one was no different!

I don’t think it’s going to be any surprise to anybody that I LOVED this book. I’m a huge fan of M Robinson's writing.

I felt every single emotion possible... This is one of those books that will pull you in from the first page and you won't be able to put it down. This is a story with so many layers, that are slowly reveling, with amazing characters and plot. The writing was excellent, I just loved everything about this book!

The story was intriguing and suspenseful. I couldn't figure out what was going on at first. I loved the twist the author brought. This book overwhelmed me and kept me guessing until the end.
The characters are amazing. Seriously amazing. I feel like I live in this neighborhood that the story line is based in.

I've read so many books this year and this is one of my favorites. Buy it now because you will not want to miss it. It's just BRILLIANT.

It could bring out the best and the worst in you.
Because above all else, I knew right then and there

*************************************

Okay. Some of the twists in here, I wasn't expecting them AT ALL!!! WOW!!!
But that's one wonderful thing with Mrs. Robinson's writing...
Her stories are not similar with each other, and in a weird way, the characters from all her previous books are connecting with one way or the other and i loved it so much!!!!

Yeah, every time in each book of hers, we take glimpses from some of her previous characters and this is so awesome, and at the same time, she is giving us glimpses of her next stories!!! And the anticipation is too high!!!
For example, I can't fucking wait Noah's book !!! I'm so damn curious of what had happened to him and i can't wait for his HEA, without Mia of course!!! Bahahaha...
And I'm so curious about Giselle.... So, so curious!!!! Her story will be with Mason. Right???
But enough with all of that!!! I have to focus to Damien and Amira!!!!
[But don't you worry!!! Every book can be read as a standalone too!!! ;-)]

Well... This book started exactly where the previous book had ended. And in the first part of the book, we witnessed Damien to build a new life in America without his love by his side.
To be totally honest with you, he became more ruthless that before, but his facade was very good.
As the years were passing by, he was earning more wealth and power, but still something was missing.... A vital thing for him to live.... Amira!!!!

"It didn't matter where I went, who I was with, or what the fuck I was doing.
I would see her beautiful goddamn face everywhere I was..."

If I say that I wasn't missing Amira's POV in the beginning, I would say bullshits, but I totally understood why the author choose to do so...
As Damien, i was wondering too for her fate and i was very anxious for what happened to her after Damien left her, but damn it, I wasn't prepared of what actually happened to her and I think that Damien was also at loss when he met her again after all those years... I couldn't wrap my mind around of what she became....
Wow, just wow, Mrs. Robinson!!!

"She was alive.
She was there with me.
Except, now she was... in my dark and fucked-up world.
The world she never belonged in.
The world I desperately tried to protect her from.
The. World. I. Left. Her. For..."

As it was normal, Amira was angry and hateful toward Damien for leaving her behind and she had changed so damn much!!! I'm not really sure if i liked her new self...
Bit I did understand... She was hurting and she had to go on with her life without Damien by her side... So, in a way, i justify her!!!

"You don't need to protect me from the monsters anymore, Damien. I am the fucking monster."

Hmmm.... No, I won't tell you more!!!
You have to find out how their story turn out by yourselves...
But it wasn't an easy ride for them to be together with all those secrets, lies and mistakes that they did through the years that they were and weren't together...
Their love was still there, but there was also hate and mistrust...
So... What will happen with them???

"You're the cause of everything wrong in my life..."
"Well, Muneca, you're the only cause of anything right in mine."

*********************************************

"This was far from over between us.
In fact, it was only the beginning.
She would be mine no matter the consequences."

Damn!!! This was a hell of a ride for once again!!!
I'm enjoying so much M. Robinson's books and I'm disappointed when I'm turning the last page...
And of course, I can't wait until the next time that i will hold her new book in my hands.

Just when you think you finally have have gotten through one of M. Robinson’s books without shedding a tear, BAM! She gets you! The emotional roller coaster she takes you on is unbelievable! Loved this book!
What an absolutely amazing read! Once again I bow down to the Queen of Angst!

What Damien and Amira have is beyond a connection or chemistry, its the passion between these two that is so hot and beyond anything I’ve ever read before.

I don’t want to say to much and give anything away. Just trust me and read this book and yes, you have to read El Santo before reading El Pecador. You won’t be sorry. You can tell M. Robinson put everything into writing this book.

I love M. Robinson and she is one of my favorite go to authors and she doesn’t disappoint.

This book - gaaaaah, this book.
The angst, the suspense, the romance, the surprises.
I could read it fast enough. I absolutely loved it.
(You need to read El Santo first.)

"I leaned forward and kissed away all her tears, tasting her nightmares, her memories, her love and hatred for me."

"We stared at each other for what felt like hours, both of us lost in our own darkness.
In our own demons.
In our own regrets and mistakes."

“I locked eyes with the blonde like she was the only woman in the room that mattered when in reality that woman was in another man’s arms.”

"Although, when we were together it felt like the earth stood still and the world moved around us, as it always did.
At times, it felt like we were walking through a fucking maze, desperately trying to find our way out.
Our way to each other.

She wanted to save me.
I wanted to save her.
Never realizing we needed to save ourselves."

Bless their hearts.

I don't want to give away any spoilers, but just know you will be vocal while reading.
Sometimes it's yelling at Damien, sometimes it's a gasp and sometimes it might be a little crying, but just know in the end you'll be shouting "thank you" to the author.

I couldn’t wait for this book to see what was going to happen between Damien and Amira especially after the way the first book ended! We pick up right where we left off and it was intense! This story took me on such an emotional rollercoaster. We had so many twists and turns and my jaw literally dropped as I read.

Damien and Amira are hands down my favorite book couple from this author. They are passionate, stubborn, loyal and flawed. So many times while reading I wanted to reach in and hug them both. I’m trying to keep my review spoiler free but there was scene in the book that broke my heart as I read. After that I had to stop reading and collect myself before I continued.

I have read several books by M. Robinson and she put her whole soul into writing this story. It was so worth the wait and in my opinion one of her best books ever!! This was an intense, heartbreaking, heartwarming story that will stay with me for a long, long time!

Once again M. Robinson has thrown me for a complete loop!! El Pecador was simply AMAZING!! There's no other way to describe it. My heart and head were sent through a myriad of emotions that had my stomach dropping, my anxiety acting up and me saying WTF alot!!!

Through all the twists and turns, M stayed true to both her characters. Up until the very end, you had no idea what would happen next.

The angst, the emotion, the whole concept was mind blowing. If you've never read and if her books, I wholeheartedly suggest you start now!!

The queen of angst strikes again. This book will have you on a roller coaster of emotions. You thought you knew Damien before but you haven't seen anything yet. The way she writes will have you feeling all the emotions that the characters experience. This book may be her best one yet. You can definitely tell she puts her all in this book and it shows. So if you loved Damien in El Santo then you will love him in El Pecador.

Wow

This book was amazing. It has more twists and turns than El Santo and El Diablo put together. Read it in one day.

Holy flaming s**t what did I just finish? I have spent all day engrossed and immersed in the world of Damien and Amira.

I gasped, I cried, I almost thew my kindle!!!

This book is by far the best M.Robinson has ever written. She is like a fine whisky, with years her writing just gets better and better!!!

I refuse to give anything away because I believe this book is best going into blind. That way you don't know how much it's gonna shock you!!!!

An absolutely incredible read. You must read it and if you haven't read El Santo then you need to read that first! !

If I could give it a million stars I would. Especially one particular star constellation....

What a twister.

Wow this book had some serious twists in it. It was so good I didn't see them coming at all. I was hooked to this book from the very start. I 've been dying to read this since I read El Santo. Which is just amazing as well and after the way that book ended I needed this book. After waiting a while I finally got me hands on it. The story carried on from where the last one ended thank god. Damien is way from Cuba and moved to U.S. trying to make a life for himself. He needed to get away and get Amira out of his mind and move on. Over the years Damiens life goes through so many changes. But the one person that is never far from his mind is his Muñeca.

I did enjoy this book. But I think El Santo was better I found that this book dragged on parts. I think I was just impatient to see what was goin to happen. Even with all the twist and turns there were parts lost a lil bit of my concentration. Now before you all go crazy I did luv the conclusion of Damien and Amira's. I did have a few moments where I couldn't believe what I was read and had to go back. This author really knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout a book. I luv her writing. I would highly recommend this book and duet. The characters are just amazing amazing and the story was just had good. I wish I could say more but I don't want to spoil the overall story. It was roller coaster of ride. Be ready have your emotion all over the place.

5 stars isn't enough to rate this emotional rollercoaster ride. I was left emotionally drained and hung over after reading El Pecador. M Robinson just has a way of making you fall in love with each of her characters even if they are good or evil. And El Santo was the perfect beginning of Damien and Amira's story and El Pecador was the perfect conclusion. Their story was one that was written in the stars.
This couple didn't have it easy by any means. They have to fight for their HEA. And their battle is one of twists and turns that you don't see coming. There are scenes that will have you wanting to scream and throw your reading device while cursing M's name. And then have you coming to tears with emotional moments, that will have you wanting to take these characters away from M until she can promise to end their suffering.
I can't wait for the next book by the Queen of Angst.

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars! It was great to see Mr District Attorney do his thing. He was bad ass enough. It was good to see Amira come into her own. It was a long wait for Damien and Amira to see each other after so many years apart.

Ok...so who else did a wince at the sexy times on the beach scene? Lol... I was like no what if sand gets in there? 😉🤭

Ahhh.......and the twist poor Damien, it was almost like history repeating itself but not really. Good job there author. I’m excited to see what she comes up with next. I still love me some Alejandro Martinez, my favorite anti hero of the series 😘.

Omg, my heart is still trying to heal from the emotional trauma from this book. I bow down to the Queen of angst yet again. I have read a few of this amazing author books but this one was by far the best of her work to date. This is the second book to the Sinner and Saint duet. You need to read the first book El Santo first or you will be totally lost. When I got this book I immediately started to read it. The wait was worth it. This book is a true masterpiece. I stayed up all night to devour this book.

You start off right where El Santo left off. Damien knows he is no good for Amira. He was one of the monsters that shattered her life. Damien does the best thing for her and leaves. It kills him every day thinking about his beautiful angel. Years pass and Damien is very dark and more ruthless than ever. He is on the top of the world. Damien has not seen Amira for years and the last place he would think he would find her she is their with hate in her eyes. Amira had a very hard life after a devastating event happens. She had to do what she needed to survive. Amira is not the same girl that Damien fell in love with years ago. Amira gets them into some very serious trouble and now they have to stick together or they both might end up dead. Will Damien find the girl he fell in love with or is she gone for good?

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all hot romance, betrayal, darkness, and a lot of angst. You will fall in love with Damien and Amira all over again. Damien is still just as ruthless if not more so but you will see he will still do anything for the one he loves. Amira is still beautiful but she is not the sweet doll she used to be. She is a bad a** that I absolutely loved. These two characters still have hot chemistry even years later. This author always owns my tears and this book was no exception. This book will make your jaw drop and wonder what will happen next. You are in for a wild ride. I can’t wait until we get to read Noah’s story next.

OMG! I don't even know where to begin with this book! I LOVED every minute of it! This is El Santo Book 2. You must read El Santo in order to understand what is going on in El Pecador. With that being said.... El Pecador runs the gamut of emotions (i.e. angst, love, passion, pain, suspense, action) and so much more. I think I have whiplash from all of the twists and turns. lol. Amira is now my favorite H out of all of M's books. I love that she is strong, takes no bull, kicks butt, and loves with all her heart. Damien is probably the my favorite "hate to love him" out of all her heroes. You will hate him but you'll love him in the end. He's sexy, cocky, possessive, loyal, bad but oh so good, takes no prisoners, no holds barred, and loves will all his heart! Get ready for Damien Montero ladies! Swoon!

"Our connection.
Our family.
Our love.
Meant nothing to him in the end.
The man who saved me.
Raised me.
Protected me.
Loved me.
Left. Me."

Monica wears the Queen of Angst crown well. She has earned it. lol! My best advice when reading this book is to expect the unexpected! Monica does plot twists and suspense like no other! It will leave you wondering, "What did I just read?" but in the best way possible! Her plots are always gripping and gritty. They keep you hanging on to EVERY word! It will devour you whole! She breaks your heart and gets your tears every time but always puts it back together. She NEVER disappoints! My favorite thing about her books are the feels. She has you feeling every emotion! It is so real that I feel as if I am living the story with them. I LOVE Monica's books and this one exceeded my expectations. 5 stars do not do it justice! I fear that I will have a book hangover for a long time. Thank you Monica for taking me on this journey with Damien and Amira!
