Standing over six feet tall, USA Today bestselling author Jonathan Moeller has the piercing blue eyes of a Conan of Cimmeria, the bronze-colored hair of a Visigothic warrior-king, and the stern visage of a captain of men, none of which are useful in his career as a computer repairman, alas.
He has written the DEMONSOULED series of sword-and-sorcery novels, and continues to write THE GHOSTS sequence about assassin and spy Caina Amalas, the COMPUTER BEGINNER'S GUIDE series of computer books, and numerous other works. His books have sold over one million copies worldwide.
This series keeps reminding me that it is playing for keeps. The action picked up from the first page, and while it took a little while to recall salient events, they soon came coming back. The plot twists came thick and fast, with some expected and others unexpected. This book focused on another character with Ridmark feeling more like a minor character, which was a refreshing change. The climax was delicious and just what I needed, and the resolution made me grin. I can't wait to continue with this series.
Another great book. This whole series is a great story and everything flows together beautifully. This follows the short story Soulblades and is followed by short stories- Gavin’s Tale and Duel. None of the short stories (all under 50 pages) have to be read for the whole series but do add some information
Well now it seems that Ridmark and his friends end up in another war where one side is trying to utterly wipe out what is left of another race. One of Ridmark's allies has the ability to save or end the race but her actions and decisions determined the out come. Which turned out to be quite surprising to what I was thinking. Where Moeller comes up with his excellent ideas for his books is beyond me but he's a great author whose books have a little bit of everything you might want in a great story.
Dear Jonathan, the only flaw I detected was the sex scene thrown in near the end of this book. Not necessary and did not add anything to the story. I did; however, enjoy the entertainment and exciting action as well as the creative characters. Your imagination is outstanding. I highly recommend reading this book to anyone interested in reading a good story. Thanks for the entertainment.
I am deducting a star because I was really enjoying the Kyralion & Third love story. Mr. Moeller loves destroying the couples I love. I will never forgive him for putting Ridmark with Morigna. This story was amazing though. Thank you for finally letting Tamlin and Tamara have their reunion. It was a nice break from all the killing. Loved the journey and I can not wait for the next book.
Another amazing "chapter" in the adventures of Ridmark and Calliande. I am never disappointed at how Mr. Moeller can create new ways for them to be challenged. I was intrigued at the role Third played. The epilogue promises new adversities to be overcome.
This series is one of the few that I don't resent having to wait for the next edition.
Loved this book just as well as all the rest of Ridmark 's sagas. It was exciting, action packed and thrilling to the end. Jonathan MOELLER is one of my favorite authors with good reason, his works seem to be like a fine wine, just keep getting better and better . Mr. Moeller owes me a manicure , he had me biting my nails with this last adventure.!
Love these books they are well written and rival Lord of the Rings in the depth and quality of the story lines. Really looking forward to the next installment in Ridmark and his companions adventures
