Decadence. Sinful pleasure. It’s all I want. Until I see her.
After taking over my family’s business, all I care about is the bottom line. Sure, we sell sugary, fat filled heart attack snacks by the trillions, but people love them. After all, that’s what life is about — pleasure.
All I want is a night of pure sin with no sticky entanglements, so I hire an escort. But Juliana isn’t who I think she is. And vice versa.
She’s not only my date, she’s my blonde, vegan, lethally sexy enemy.
Now, I need to keep my hands off her. Stop thinking about her. Stop wanting her. But I can’t.
Damn. How can a blind date go so wrong ... and so deliciously right?
Alice Ward is the bestselling author of dozens of hot and steamy contemporary romances. She’s an amazingly prolific writer, releasing a new book almost every single month. Her books are widely read, especially by women and any other lovers of the romance genre. My Stepbrother, My Lover, was her first smash hit.
This was a nice love story. No real angst or tense drama. The biggest bad it had going for it was the leading lady did not like what the leading man did for a job. (Owner and CEO of a snack food company). She herself was quite preachy about nutrition, exercise, eating right, no bad food, vegan only, exercise some more... You get the drift. She was annoying to me. He was nice, though.
The blind date set up they had to meet each other was cute. She is looking for Zach, and he is looking for Jewel (She is Juliana, goes by Jule). It was a fantasy blind date. Reading about it was as exciting as it was for Juliana. She's not much of a dater, and Zach takes her on a doozy of a date. I enjoyed that part. But she annoyed me.
So three stars, cause I was happy the book was over, so I didn't have to read about her any more. The writing was top notch. I just didn't care for the story.
Who would have guessed that an innocent blind date could lead to something so surprising . Well actually it wasn’t so innocent because the heroine is a total freak regarding her health. Who could blame her, she is actually a nutritionist with a past as an obese girl, while Zack is a rich entrepreneur who owns a company who produces junk food. So about this blind date. They actually meet coincidentally because she was set up by her friend while he hired an escort to actually relax in every sort of way. So it happens that their dates don’t show up but they meet at the same bar convinced that both are their respective dates. So they have a one hot night stand and then later they will meet under better circumstances. Soon there will be a growing passionate tension that will lead towards the final understanding that opposites really attract. Why did I love this book so much? First because I sort of identified myself in Juliana because likewise I have a past as a chubby girl and I’m also a freak regarding my weight but mostly I loved Zach so much because he was such a good guy. He initially seemed a rich and spoiled jerk but beneath his 3 piece suit he deeply cared about what surrounded him and in this case he actually was quite smitten with his Juliana. A five star read. I’m so happy to have had an advanced copy of this book.
5 stars I received a free copy of Blind Date by Alice Ward and this review was given freely. The story of Nutritionist and exercise enthusiast Juliana and Snack King billionaire Zachary is not only an opposites attract novel but contains one ironic coincidence after another. Complex, ironic and steamy with strong minded and caring characters that balance out the smarmy Gavin and the self centered mothers yet treats the topics of childhood obesity and diabetes in a tasteful way.
Another Ward must read!!!! Well written perfection!
Alice Ward's writing is impeccable!!! This book is everything. The best of mistaken identity, enemies to lovers, romcom, and sweet heroine facing a ruthless hero without seeming trite, a huge task is done amazingly well! Jul and Zachary have chemistry in spades and it’s so satisfying when they finally get it together for their very own HEA. The characters are original and emotional with flaws and I love how we seem them through the other's eyes. I’d definitely recommend this book. I requested and received an arc copy of this book. This is my voluntary, true, and honest opinion.
Opposites have already attracted, they just don't know how opposite they really are.
"Fate can be a bitch, but maybe she knows a thing or two.”
Fate definitely had a sense of humor. Juliana & Zach are learning that the hardest way possible!
I love Zach & Juliana's push and pull relationship and their struggle to even make peace let alone compromise. This has a lot of laughs, all the right feels and all the steamy feels as well.
I couldn’t finish. The heroine got on my last nerve. I get it. She was once fat now she’s a health nut. But damn it. Must she tell us every single time she talked. I knew by chapter 2 I could care less about her happiness.
I'm a relative newcomer to Alice Ward novels, but I learned early on not to make assumptions based on a title, or even the first few chapters. Which is a good thing, because I'll be honest - the first chapter or so of "Blind Date" didn't thrill me. The hot-button topic of nutrition, body shaming, unhealthy school lunches and "America's Obesity Epidemic" is very close to rock bottom of my list of things I want to read about in any way. Juliana is a Crusader for all things Healthy, basically tilting at the windmill of Evil Corporate Food Companies and blaming them (and parents) for children's weight problems within the first few paragraphs... the cringe-factor was high for me, right out of the box. Honestly, if I didn't know Alice Wards' novels by now, I would have stopped reading and most likely never finished the book. (I just wanna read and relax – no Crusades for me, thanks.)
But I took a few deep breaths, and stuck with it. Kind of like riding out a storm, I suppose...
Zachery (Zack) is portrayed as not quite Juliana's polar opposite: he's in charge of the mega-company that makes the snack cake Juliana (Jules) most despises, but he's not a soulless Capitalist who cares more for the company's bottom line than kid’s health. I think what saved this book for me was their chemistry, and the clever tale of mistaken identity involved. Honestly, that's MUCH more compelling. Yes, there's an "opposites attract" thing between them, and I’m sure the obesity topic resonates, but I didn’t care for it.
Zach is really adorable, when you get right down to it. There's lots of talk about his wilder days, but he's a pretty stable guy. Even the way that he meets Jules isn't as wild as you'd think, because he's already done a lot of growing up - he's just lonely. Now he’s kind having to live his past down. Honestly, Juliana seems to experience most of the character growth.
She's very rigid in her thinking, even though she says, "everything in moderation," all the time. On one hand, I felt horrible for her upbringing, but I was also really confused because she says she didn't get healthy until she took her first nutrition course in college, but later says she got healthy in her last year of high school. She blames her absentee parents for controlling every single thing she was allowed to eat for her rebellious junk food habit (which made her fat), while simultaneously blaming the current culture of overworked, absentee parents for childhood obesity, because they DON'T control their children's diets more closely… and companies who provide nothing but “nutritiously void meals” and junk food in schools. Wait, what? I think I’m getting whiplash…very confusing.
I was also bothered that the psychological aspects of overeating were sort of glossed over - which wouldn't be an issue, expect that at the start of the book it seemed as though it would come up. Jule seems to have her own serious emotional issues with food, and being a professional nutritionist, she alludes to being versed in the topic, yet she never brings it up to Zach. She educates him extremely well in her chosen Crusade, even pointing out that a child at a public school can't simply eat whatever the school provides because of a health issue - something Zach was totally unaware of. More than once, he comments that sugary foods aren’t an addictive drug, etc., but there really are people for whom that's true, and simple moderation just doesn't work. It’s a very complicated topic without a simple solution. Like I said, it wouldn't matter to me if at the start of the book, the emotional/psychological connection to food hadn't been implied so strongly. I really thought this would come to a head during the scene where they find each other again…But I don’t want to spoil it.
With all that said, I was more than happy to have less weight (don’t hate me for the puns) put on that whole issue, to focus on the mistaken identity romance. It made up for everything that bugged me, because the dialog and chemistry between Zach and Jule feels so REAL. When Zach realizes that he can't find "his" Jule? Oh, what a punch to the gut! It's a thrill, too, because you're crazy-excited for him to find her - and for her to finally know that someone loves her! And when Jule isn’t obsessing on her Crusade, she’s wonderfully sweet, smart, understanding – a well-balanced adult. Zach brings that out in her.
So, I’m glad I stuck it out, because their romance was really sweet (and super spicy-hot, too!) It was good enough that I gave it an extra star.
A case of double mistaken identity. Juliana thinks Zachary is her blind date, Zach, and he's nearly an hour late. Zach thinks Juliana is Jewels, his . . . well, the polite term would be “escort” who is to accompany him to a black-tie gala, but she’s dressed in a halter top and jeans. Not that they don’t look great on her, but he'll have to spend a minuscule amount of his billions to outfit her for the evening. Neither anticipates the gravitational pull of attraction between them, but the mistakes, missteps and mistruths just keep piling up. After one passionate night and then radio silence, imagine Jule's surprise when she finds out Zach is the CEO of the top junk food manufacturer she combats daily in her job as a nutritionist.
Aside from a slight detour in a different direction, this author has been a must-read for me since the first Beasts of Baseball book I read. I was glad to read an early copy of this book, because the description sounded more like the Alice Ward I had come to know and love, and it exceeded my expectations. I adored Zach who, in spite of his billionaire playboy persona and being the antithesis of everything Jule stood for, was a big-hearted guy with his own flaws and insecurities who got himself in a bit of a pickle and was even more endearing as a result. Jule was a lovely heroine who, although she still had a childhood hang-up, was strong, determined and impassioned, and she had me cheering for her from the beginning.
There was plenty of humor in this book with a romance between the Heigh-Di-Ho king and the formerly obese nutritionist, especially with the way their relationship began. There was also a big serving of heat, as well as a lot of depth and emotion to tug the heartstrings. In addition to touching on childhood obesity and lack of nutrition in some school lunch programs, Ms. Ward offers compassionate insight into childhood issues and their potential effects into adulthood. Not only was this a humorous, steamy read, it was uplifting and inspiring. If you're not familiar with this author and you like a little heat, heart and humor in your romance, this is a great introduction to her work.

Sugary goodness...I’m not just talking about the dessert but Zach, the CEO of a huge company that makes prepared foods and the Certified Clinical Nutritionist, Juliana, two people who are completely opposite...but then again opposites attract. When Juliana’s blind date is running late and so is Zach’s hired escort, he mistakes her for the woman he hired for that night and is confused when she acts all innocent, thinking it’s part of the act. Juliana is enamoured with Zach and follows his lead all night and going with him back to his hotel room. When she disappears the next morning, he can’t stop thinking about her...will he seek her out ? A great steamy read with a man wh***, playboy billionaire who finds someone when he wasn’t even thinking. I liked Juliana a lot, she was sweet but still lacked some self confidence due to her younger years and I loved how she finally came to recognize that she was beautiful, gaining confidence as the story went on. I also enjoyed how Zach didn’t want to give up and didn’t play games with her and neither did she with him. I loved how there were no others trying to break them apart, no jealousies or women crawling out of the woodwork. I loved how they compromised and tried things that may have despised to make the other happy. I would have liked to have known more about her father, Juliana’s mother was introduced and she was a cold hearted woman, but what about her dad...he was a mystery. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
I received an advanced copy this book as an arc. Alice Ward has created another book I absolutely love and couldn’t stop reading. I loved the characters. They were so opposite that they actually made sense together. Juliana is strong beautiful but inexperienced in the ways of love nutritionist. She is dedicated to help making it easier to fight childhood obesity, since she struggled with it as a child. Zachary is handsome man used to indulging in anything he wanted until he took over his family’s snack cake business. Now he’s turned into a workaholic that barely has time to indulge in his previous desires. Juliana and Zach are both talked into going out by their best friends. Juliana is going on a blind date with a man Zachary, while Zachary has hired an escort named Jewel to attend a gala at the met. As fate would have it, their dates can’t make it for unforeseen circumstances, but they don’t know it. Each mistakes the other for their date and it leads to the most perfect night either of them has ever had. Their second meeting a week later, however, was explosive. She finds out that he’s the snack cake maker she’s fighting against for healthier choices, and he realizes he wants her more than ever. Can they build a relationship when they’re so completely opposite? How will Juliana react when she realizes he thought she was an escort...can she get over it and let fate take them where it will?
I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
The Blind Date - Zach and Juliana's story touched my soul and then all my hot zones!!! She even made me laugh, have uh-oh moments, and made my heart swoon for Zach. He is so endearing and, of course, hot! She brings to light the need for a healthy nutrition and why they should be a part of school lunches and home.
Alice Ward wrote about a formerly obese nutritionist, Juliana, and the self-esteem issues that going along with being obese during the school years - being bullied by your peers, feeling alone, hating yourself - and the condescending way people think they're helping. Some of these fictional deserve a head slap to make them open their eyes!
Zach is the CEO of a top junk food manufacturer, rich playboy used to getting what he wants. Their paths cross each mistaking the other for someone else. These two are so opposite, each having complex backgrounds, have different values, that the emotional changes they go through to make it all work just illustrate how wonderfully they fit together and make a great team.
I loved The Blind Date. The story had humor, complexity, blazing chemistry, and the joy of falling in love with someone you least expect. You can't ask for anything more. Most definitely recommend!
Fate has a bit of humor in The Blind Date. A sweet story of an opposites-attract romance that will tickle your funny bone. It’s also a case of double mistaken identity, a wrench that is thrown into the mix when Juliana and Zachary meet. Juliana thinks Zachary is her blind date, and Zachary thinks she’s the escort, Jewel, he’s hired for the evening’s gala benefit. The attraction is unmistakable and the chemistry between is irresistible. Juliana and Zachary spend a wonderful evening and an unforgettable night together. But they temporarily lose contact when Zachary loses her number.
Juliana is surprised when she meets Zackary again at a forum where her presentation is advocating nutritional change to combat childhood obesity. And as a nutritionist, her first line of defense is awareness about what kids eat in school lunches. Problem is, Zachary is heir and CEO of a top junk food conglomerate. She’s an avid exerciser, vegan and has a cat. He hates the gym, loves meat and potatoes, and is allergic to cats. And the list goes on, but these two opposites can’t resist each other. I love how they find ways to make it work. The story includes 3 POVs, including Gavin, Zack’s best friend.
The Blind Date is a perfect blend of steaminess, romance, and humor. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Another fantastic book from AW, a storyline that draws you in and two characters I loved who are so polar opposite but are also so right for each other, who would think that a blind date which turns out to be mistaken identity, right place wrong people would evolve into a heartwarming romance with an extra dollop of very steamy sexy encounters. Zach a billionaire recently taken over the reigns of the family's business Vaughn Industries leaders in the unhealthy fast food snacks and Juliana (Jules) a nutritionist who wants to make a difference with childhood obesity having suffered from obesity as a child herself. Following a HOT night of passion together, Zach thinks Juliana is Jules his paid escort and Juliana thinks Zachs her blind date set up by her friend they depart but meet up again unexpectedly a week later in the same meeting but in opposite corners when they realise there mistakes, tricky and embarrassing!! The chemistry between them is explosive each wanting each other but are they able to work together and build a relationship when they have opposite views?? Read the book to find the answers you won't be disappointed. I was given this as an ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review.
Juliana, or Jule to her friends, has been too focused on her job, and her passion for helping obese kids live a healthier life, to date much. Her best friend finally talks her into a blind date with a guy names Zach. So she's only a little surprised by his lateness when a man walks up and tells her his name is Zach. Zachary, new head of a major snack food company, no longer has time for women, but needs a date for the Met's Spring Gala, His best friend talks him into getting an escort and he settles on one named Jewel. He's pleasantly surprised when he sees a beauty he believes to be Jewel sitting in the corner reading a book and even more stunning than her blurry pictures. She begins to give her name and he cuts her off at Jul... Even though they have a wonderful, if confusing night, neither is who the other believes them to be. What will happen when they discover, that despite all of the things they have in common, they sit on opposite sides of the school lunch issue at an open forum they are both speaking at? I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and am leaving my honest review.
He thinks she's an Escort. She thinks he's the ex roommate of her best friend's brother. But it doesn't matter, when there's a connection like these two have, identity is immaterial.
Until it isn't.
Forget about the classic "lost her number"/"serendipity" kind of story, because that's just a mere detail. The sparks that fly between these two are out of this world.
Polar opposites on so many things, yet alike in so many others, these two passionate individuals are face to face in the biggest food fight ever. Only, the winner or the loser isn't them. It's the health of the children of NYC. So, if you can't handle their heat, stay out of their kitchen.
I received an advanced copy for my honest review.
I loved this story. Alice has woven great characters together into a backdrop that she's obviously highly familiar with while including and addressing a controversial issue that challenges so many people, myself included... Healthy eating, and healthy food for children. This is a good read with enough pace to keep it interesting and enough heat to melt your heart and body. Lol. 😂 I would highly recommend it.
Alice Ward is back with an opposites attract read, one that is sure to heat you up for the steam, the sizzle is intense. The Blind Date is Zach and Juliana's story. This is a case of double mistaken identity. Juliana thinks Zachary is her blind date and also the ex-roommate of her best friend's brother., Zach who is nearly an hour late. Zach thinks Juliana is Jewels his, um, escort who is to accompany him to a fancy formal event yet she is very dressed down. And that is just the beginning of this beautiful .humorous and emotional romance story. There are so many ironic things that occur with this couple. They have this push/pull going on even as they try to come together, its like they make war then have peace and go back at it again. Its steamy, hot, red-hot and funny. This is how I enjoy my romances. Zach and Jules make a great couple. I loved The Blind Date. Alice has woven great characters together into one fantastic story. This is why she is my auto buy author because everything she writes is fabulous.
My Rating: 4.7 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
💕Mix some great tropes for a winner 💋romance with a🍣 sweet tooth center!😍 May 6, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition 👍👍Flawless writing combining some popular romantic tropes for an eminently enjoyable read. Take two desperate people resorting to a blind date, add some mistaken identities, and then mix in a sizzling and inescapable attraction between strangers that discover they are business enemies. What a fantastic combination! Plus, I love when Alice Ward gives her heroine a sweet innocence and a social conscience. Jule is a lovely young woman with an absentee mother and obesity in her past, dedicated to improving the diet and health of the individual children in her care and dreaming of having a wider effect.
Zachary, the hero, is a wealthy and privileged industrialist player, but not a hardened jerk (yet). Meeting Jule is a pivotal moment for him. Author Alice Ward gave him flaws and the ability to change. He grew on me, which I feared would not be the case after his 🍣snack food attack on Jule at a public event.
Be prepared for some humor, mega🔥 steam and a satisfying ending that encompasses more than just the principal characters. A great read!:-)
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Clever, Clever Author – Great Twist BEGINS this Amazing Read!!
Juliana is a nutritionist trying to bring healthy options to kinds in the schools. She struggled with obesity as a child and counsels children with the same issues now. Zach has taken over the family business from his father and decides to “hire” his date for an important event for expedience. It’s a bonus that it will annoy his mother.
I will not go into too much detail – but be assured I spent the first third of this book snickering at the situation which the author delivers in such a capable manner. Don’t worry, the blind date may be the hottest on record… and the sparks that fly between these two are worth the read on its own.
Add great characterizations, sizzling heat and the humor and you end up with this stellar read. I highly recommend this story!!
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
This was another well-written story by Alice Ward. It covered a very important topic/crisis affecting millions of people specially in North America - Obesity specifically in children. The story flowed smoothly and did a great job of figuring out a solution for obesity.
Juliana was a strong female lead with insecurities due to her own obese adolescence. Zachary is the new head of snack food company and Juliana's enemy because his company's food is the most responsible for the crisis.
It is said that opposites attract and that was definitely the case with these two characters. I enjoyed the story very much. The only issue I had was a recycled scene - by that I mean I had read the scene in a previous great story by Alice Ward. It was the scene the morning after in the Four Seasons. The scene was similar to I believe the scene from The Surprise.
Two people dedicated to their jobs, find a connection when they least expect it.
Juliana is dedicated to her job of helping this country reduce the obesity epidemic. She counsels kids on nutrition and helps them with a plan to get healthy. She has been alone for while. Not really interested in dating. But she is lonely. After a night out with her BFF, she decides to accept the offer to be set up on a blind date.
Zachary Vaughn is the CEO of a major company that makes tasty snacks. Sinfully good but totally bad for you. Since taking over the company a short while ago, he has been doing nothing but WORK! He wants fun, but no strings. Just a quick hook-up to take the edge off.
These two end up at the same place at the same time...blind date or something else?
This story was fresh and fun and filled with sizzling chemistry. It's hits on very relevant topics and I loved these characters.
Alice's newest couple, Zachary and Juliana, are my favorite, so far.
Zachary has taken over his family's business and he no longer has time for his wild and carefree nights and weekends. It's been so long since he's been out and about with his buddies but he's finding he's not missing it as much as he thinks he should be. But although he's not meeting the easy women of the past, he's not meeting any women that he can see spending time with, either. But he has a big gala coming up, he needs a date, and he'd like a little something something afterwards, too. But all the girls in his little black book just don't fit the bill.
Juliana had a rough childhood. She wasn't beat or abandoned but she was overweight, well, obese is the term she uses, and her mother used every opportunity to let her know about it. But now she's fit, vegan, and has used her health to provide herself with a career. But she's so busy staying fit and fighting for others to be healthy that she has no time left for men. And her friends let her know about it and want to fix her up but she dreads blind dates. Finally, she agrees to be so and so's college roommate's cousin (you get the picture).
Who knew, because of a case of mistaken identity and weirdly enough, the same names, these two, who are on opposites of the arena in their careers, would fall for each other?
“The Blind Date” by Alice Ward is a terrific book. The chemistry between Zach and Juliana is off the charts hot. All of the characters in this book are very well developed with great depth to each of them. The book flowed so well between each scene. Juliana an amazing young woman who struggled with obesity through high school. She is a terrific heroine. I felt this book portrayed the struggle of obesity really well. It showed how parents can be a major part of the problem for some children. Zach is the CEO of one of the largest producers of fattening snack foods. Two people who are polar opposites yet can make love work. I loved how this book started out. It was captivating and held my attention the entire time. Please read this book. It’s truly a touching and sexy book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
There is Zachary (Zach) who is a rich CEO for a top junk food manufacturer. Then there is Juliana who is a nutritionist and has struggled her whole life to overcome what being obese in her formative years has done to her. She is now a vegan and works out everyday and is a size two. This story shows how opposites can attract. She is championing getting healthy food into schools. He is trying to get vending machines of their tasty treats into schools. When they meet by accident at a restaurant, the attraction is electric. He thinks she is something she isn't and she is really attracted to him and decides to go outside her comfort zone. Will they be able to make things work? Or is it doomed by what they do? I enjoyed this book and it is an easy one click. Enjoy!!
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
Excellent story about two enemies, with a great theme about obesity and nutrition, without the boring and medical parts. The characters are great too in their arguments and the way they try to compromise. They’re some hot sex scenes too. Juliana and Zachary meet in a restaurant, but they don’t know that they are waiting for someone else. She was waiting for a friend of a friend and he was waiting for an escort. They’re attracted and have sex after a gala night. But Juliana is a clinical nutritionist who fights against nutrition problems and Zachary is the CEO of one of the enterprise that create the problem. When they discover their mistakes and that the other is the enemy of their project, everything becomes more complicate than just a date mistake. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
A blind date come horribly wrong accidentally put two people who may be opposites but are absolute perfection together with Zach and Juliana. Juliana, ultra health conscious, and Zach, wealthy dude from a snack empire, shouldn't work, but there is an awesome mixup, and the story stays fun and engaging. There are some lovely deeper moments, and drama too, but I have to say that Juliana completely won me over. Zach is wonderful in his own way (and hot), but Juliana is in another league of her own. I went from a size 16 to a size 6 and it's so hard to do, and I was left with some very serious body issues. I was just so happy for these two to finally get on the same page. The steam is amazing, and the story and plot have a ton of heat. Highly recommend and very enjoyable. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy, although I also picked up a forever copy of my own.
To me, this is Ms. Wards best book yet, which is saying a lot because I have loved pretty much all of her books that I’ve read. This book is full of what we’ve all come to love with her books, a touching and captivating story with plenty of off the charts steamy goodness. Throw in some humor and what more could you ask for? Juliana is a formerly over weight woman who is now a nutritionist. Zach is the playboy CEO of a company that manufactures junk food. Total opposites? Definitely. They meet by accident when Juliana thinks he’s her blind date and Zach thinks she’s his “date” (for lack of a better word) to a fancy, black tie event.
They say opposites attract so can Zach and Juliana make it work with their jobs being polar opposites?
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This was a cute and eye opening story by Alice. Juliana is a nutritionist who was bullied in school due to her weight. Nothing she does ever seems to make her mother happy. Now, she is after the companies that make lunches for the school. She wants them to be healthier for the kids. Zach is the CEO of Vaughn Inc. and is the biggest distributor for free lunches in the school. He is basically the enemy to Juliana. When Zach hires an escort as his date she looks a lot like Juliana. What starts out as mistaken identity turns into more. Juliana tries to keep her walls up around Zach, but he has a great knack for knocking them down. Can Juliana let her walls down enough to let Zach fully in and can she stop looking at him as the enemy? These two have explosive chemistry and a strong attraction to beach other. It is true when they say opposites attract.
Zach has taken over snack food company Vaughn Industries for his father, but the transition has left him with no social life. His solution for a date to a gala? Hire an escort.
Juliana, or Jule, is a nutritionist who campaign against unhealthy foods and for healthy alternatives for children everywhere. This leaves her little time for dating. Her friend's solution? Set her up on a blind date.
When these two meet, it is by sheer coincidence. A couple of no shows, a blurry photo, and a nickname, causes a bit of a mix up for these two, who go on to have a whirlwind of an evening. When they figure out they are essentially enemies, can these two find a way to compromise?
Highly enjoyable read. Look forward to more from this author.
I received this book free and l am volunteering to leave this review.
Juliana is a nutritionist and doesn’t date after a disaster when in high school. Zack is a billionaire CEO of a Junk Food company. They meet after mistaken identity. Juliana is waiting for a blind date and Zack is waiting for the escort he hired to attend a Charity Gala event with him. They both feel the chemistry and spend the night together. He can’t get her out of his mind so he decides to hire the same escort again. He realises that Juliana wasn’t the escort and then tries to track her down. He finds her giving a presentation on healthy school lunches. With drama, chemistry, a well written book and a fantastic storyline l read this book in one sitting as l couldn’t put it down.
