I gave it to her, then left town. Now I'm back and she's not having any of my sweet-talk. My sister died and left behind her baby girl. Avery wants to fight me for her. But she's got no money. And I've got a bad reputation. The only way to make this work is to work together. We’ll say our fake vows. Play happy-family. Share the same bed like eager newly-weds. I won’t take no for an answer. Because this time, I’m not letting her go.
She has no idea. Our happily-ever-after will be very, very real.
Oh I really like this second chance romance mix with fake marriage read. It's packed with emotions. I got the angst, the frustrations, the teary moments and the sweet love. It's about two people trying to save the baby from getting in to foster care, both shared a tragedy, both have a past, both never see eye to eye, but they're both will do anything to keep the baby. Yes this one has captivating story, it might a bit predictable, but with all the feelings, I still enjoying it nonetheless.
As for characters, I hate Jake from the beginning, I'd like to punch him in the face most of the time, everything he said or did really push my buttons, but he redeemed himself in the end though, so I kinda forgive him for what he did. As Avery, loveee this girl, I admire her so much, she's a strong woman, she'll do anything to provide the baby, she always put the baby first. I love the build up of their relationship, it's not lollipops and roses, but that's what makes it real and beautiful.
If you're looking for second chance/fake marriage read packed with emotions, this book is definitely what you're looking for.

Tracy's parents are both dead. She won't name the father of her adorable daughter, Iris, but has made her best friend forever, Avery, Godmother to her. Then Avery gets one of the worst phone calls she could imagine - Tracy is dead in a car accident but iris is alive. Tracy's brother, Jake, is an arrogant, dismissive, jerk who took Avery's virginity then walked away never to be heard of again. Till now. He didn't know about his niece and certainly doesn't know how to raise a child. He's been battling his way up Silicon Valley with fantastic computer programmes so he is out of his comfort zone, but he does want iris. However, as Tracy didn't write a will Social services barge in and find neither to be a good fit for having a child. So the only solution Jake can think of is for them to marry each other and then get iris. Along the way he definitely needed to grow up, stop being so selfish and try to get Avery to agree and forgive him for being such a total idiot towards her. Will Avery forgive him? Is there any other reason that he wants her to marry him? Does he have any real feelings for Avery? But will the 'evil' social worker buy into their marriage? Will their 'fake' marriage turn into something real?? Tia Siren is in my top ten favourite authors as she is just so good at writing an interesting and entertaining storyline with a great heroine and a hero that needs to show how loveable he can be, with the humour and banter between them and the red hot scenes that she creates for us to enjoy whilst having our fans set to max cool! To find out you're going to have to do what I did and get a copy of this and enjoy the journey!! I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. However, as I enjoyed the book and to sup[port the author I have purchased my own copy of it so I can also read all the bonus stories.
I absolutely loved this story. You get the playboy, the indecent female, a baby and a tragedy.
Jake grew estranged from his family long ago and they disowned him. When he left and made a name for himself he disowned them right back. When Jake's parents died he knew he wasn't ready for the responsibility that was coming his way. Raising his baby sister. Therefore, she went to live with relative elsewhere. He become a billionaire and a playboy (work, money and woman) that was his daily.
Jake's sister Tracy made a friend Avery, who became more sister to her. They were very close. After Tracy became pregnant and refused to talk about her baby daddy to her Jake he became impossible to talk to and said some hurtful things to her and they didn't talk too much after that.
Avery just wants to make a way for herself and after her best friend in the whole world Tracy passes away from a her baby is the only thing that's keeps her moving.
After Tracy's death Avery and Jake comes face to face once again after years of not communication and no closure for the failing relationship that never was. They both want Iris and wants to make their lives whole again, not realizing that all they needed was to give each other a chance to find true happiness with one another. So when the evil woman comes into their life and makes things 10 times harder. She also forces them to take a step back and give them time to really think about what it is they both want, but fear keeps them apart longer than it should. But the HEA that's forms and comes is so worth the all the other heartaches.
This is a wonderful heartfelt story about Avery and her best friend Tracy and Tracy’s brother Jake. There is history with Jake and Avery and it was over and done in one night! Tracy and Avery have been friends since they were kids and have a strong bond. Tracy is a single mom who is in a car accident and asked Avery to take care of her little girl before she passes. Avery has had a hard life and takes this loss very hard but is doing everything she can to care for baby along with help from her landlord/friend. Jake shows up at the funeral and comes across very demanding wanting to see and spend time with the baby. Avery tries to keep Jake at arms length but when social services gets involved things get twisted and move in a direction that may just work! Avery does not have the means to raise a child and Jake does not have a very good reputation with being a wealthy playboy. Jake comes up with a plan and thinks with his power and money it will be solved quickly and he learns the hard way that things do not always go his way. Once Jake and Avery decide to move forward with their plan do things get interesting. Can this twist help them to be the perfect couple to raise the baby or with the evilness of the case worker keep the baby from them? Can their situation actually turn into what life is all about, caring and loving one another? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Avery is 25 and recently finished a degree in accounting and has been trying unsuccessfully to find a full-time job. Instead, she’’s working part-time and renting one room from her elderly friend, Sally. When Avery receives the tragic news that her BFF, Tracy Colter has died from injuries sustained in a car accident, she discovers that Tracy lived long enough to tell EMT’s to call Avery to take care of her four month old daughter, Iris. Avery feels compelled to call Jake Colter, Tracy’s 30 year old handsome and wealthy businessman brother in California to inform him of Tracy’s funeral and that she will be taking care of his 4 month old niece, despite the fact that she totally hates him for taking her v-card seven years earlier and leaving her that night. When he arrives the two are at odds as to who is the better person to care for young Iris. In the end, the two join forces to fight the horrible woman assigned to evaluating the two who formed a faked relationship and married in haste so they can qualify to take custody of Iris. It’s a sad but sweet love story between Avery and Jake as she overcomes her hatred and forgives him for his transgressions, and he learns to live again since losing his whole family except for this sweet baby, who it seems makes them both better people. There are a few typos and grammar errors, but not enough for me to consider downgrading my 5 star rating.
Avery is struggling to find a job now that she has graduated but she never expected to get the phone call letting her know that her best friend had died. Now she was guardian to her best friend's daughter however she finds out its not legal. Jake can't believe his little sister is gone and that he has a niece that he knows nothing about. He knew thins would be hard with Avery given their history but he didn't expect feeling to come back to him when he sees her with his niece. They both find out that neither of them is getting Iris until the proper legal channels have been gone through since his sister hadn't made any legal documents about who would get her daughter fi she would die. The social worker in charge of their case took an instant disliking to the both of them and is making waves to keep them from getting Iris. Jake comes up with a plan for them to get married so they would have a better chance at getting his niece back but will Avery agree? Will the social worker keep them from getting Iris back?
This is a great story about two people getting a second chance at love after suffering a loss. The chemistry between Avery and Jake sizzle with each page turn. This was a well written and very entertaining story. I can't wait to read more by this author in the future.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy.
Tia has once again written an excellent heart-felt romance. I loved this book and read it in one sitting. Avery's best friend Tracy is killed in a tragic accident and leaves Avery her baby daughter to raise. Jake is Tracy's estranged brother who comes to the funeral and his hell-bent on gaining custody of his sister's baby. Jake slept with Avery years ago and left without a word breaking her heart. Now that he's back she doesn't want anything to do with him. Unfortunately there is a horrible case-worker with family services who feels that neither Avery or Jake is a good choice to raise Tracy's baby. To ensure that they gain custody Jake suggests getting married to show the courts that the baby will have a stable home. After they received custody, they can divorce. Will Avery take Jake up on his offer? Can they pull off this fake marriage? Can Avery live with Jake without falling in love with him again? Take a roller-coaster ride with Jake and Avery and watch this amazing story unfold. “Fake it Baby” is a book definitely worth your time. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** A great read, Tia you've done it again! Avery gets a phone call that changes her life. Her best friend since high school and her goddaughter Iris' mom, Tracy, has been in a car wreck and has passed. She has asked that Avery gets Iris from daycare and to take care of her. But since nothing was in writing she's going to have to give the baby up. She tells her landlord and friend, Sally, what has happened and that Tracy has a brother that should be told, but she can't call him, never explaining why. So Sally get's his number she calls. Jake has been the guy that took Avery's v-card and left never talked to her since seven years ago. She hates him. He has argued with Tracy when she told him she was pregnant said some awful things to her and hadn't spoken to her since. He is devastated. His sister and her baby were his only relatives. He now wanted to raise his niece whom he'd didn't know. He and Avery will fight hard for the baby; even each other!
I Absolutely loved this well written read by the great Tia Siren. I just laugh so much at her characters, I cry, and hate some characters. But best of all this fantastic author knows how to write about emotional love. Jake Colter was rich, arrogant, naive about life without money, but oh so lost and quite lovable really. Avery Hampstead’s character had a beautiful soul, that did not take any prisoners dealing with the arrogant Jake, she will not make life easy for Jake in any way shape or form. What a lovely character Sally is, the landlord where Avery lived. She was wise and loving, and god only knows what Avery’s life would have been if not for this great old lady! She made me laugh and cry with her old soul and her insight. The character I hated the most of course was the hateful, over zealous Social Worker Janice, she was like the wicked witch of the West. This wonderful read was so true to life, I just didn’t want it to end, but alas it did with the perfect ending. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
Customer Review 5.0 out of 5 starsWhen Fake Becomes Real!! By sewsummore TOP 1000 REVIEWER on 5 June 2018 Format: Kindle Edition Avery and Jake had connected one night seven years and she ago she still felt the pain of his abandonment. Now her best friend and Jake's sister was dead and her daughter Lily, was now an orphan. When they both applied for custody of Lily, they were both told that neither of them was suitable to raise a child on their own. Desperate situations require desperate solutions, so the two of them married to give Lily the stable homelife a young child required. It was not as easy to convince the Judge that a sudden marriage would ensure a happy home, and as the two former lovers spend more time together it becomes more than a sham marriage to each of them. I loved this story, when Avery and Jake fall in love it was not what either of them expected to happen, it made to story an intense deeply emotional read as the love for a child ignites a love for each other. I received a free ARC copy of this book and have voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
This was a great story of love. It's kind of a second chance too. It's well written with bonus stories (not part of the review). Overview. Avery was given a call that shocked her world. Her best friend died in an accident and she need to go pick up the 4 month old. Avery realized she needed to call her friends brother Jake and let him know, but she has not talked to jake since she graduated high school and took her V card and left her. Now jake is a billionaire and uses his money and body to get what he wants. But jake is the only one who can help her win custody of baby iris. But their hearts are on the line as well as iris's future. Jake knew that getting involved with Avery was going to be an issue, but marring her was a whole new level. But he would do anything to keep iris in the family. He had the money Avery had the love. Together they were going to win. But love happened.
Jake and Avery will grab your heart at the beginning and take you on an emotional roller coaster. A second chance romance of sorts in that he took her virginity seven years ago and then left town without a word. The tragic death of his sister pits them against each other until they are forced to join forces. Tracy left behind a four month old daughter that they both wanted but the odds were against them. She had no money and he had billions but also had a bad boy reputation. Their only hope was a fake marriage so they could show the state that the baby would have a stable home. No spoiler here, but a lot of drama along the way and chemistry that's off the charts. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review. Well written with likeable characters and an entertaining story.
Absolutely one of the best stories I have read!! Just finished her degree and struggling to find a job, Avery is thrown another curve when her best friend is killed in a car accident and leaves her 4 month daughter, Iris, alone in the world. Avery knows she must inform her best friends' brother of her death, but after the way he left her 7 years ago, can she survive seeing Jake again. Jake has lost his parents and now his sister, the least he can do is take in his niece, but will the state look past his image and let him do what is right. This story pulls at your heart and has you pulling for Jake and Avery, both when it comes to each other and Iris, the baby that both of them want so badly. This book is so worth your time to read! I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Jake and Avery have history, and it's so sad that it takes tragedy to bring two people together. Jake and Avery lost a sister and a fried respectively, and Iris lost her mother. Jake and Avery have a common cause together in Iris, who they both care about so much. They decide to fake a marriage so that they can have a better chance of getting Iris placed with them. They all have a lot of pain, and it's terribly sad, but it's also beautiful how they can each be a support to one another. Jake and Avery have great chemistry that doesn't take long to come back, and they are both so sweet with Iris. There are moments I had doubts about Jake, but just believe in the power of love. Very recommended romance with a huge heart. Very highly recommend for sure. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
I've read many a book by Ms. Siren but I think this may be my favorite one. With twists and turns, there's the animosity of one time lovers, a little baby left behind when her mommy dies and the fight between the main characters for who will get custody of her. This really makes you stop and realize that everyone that has a child needs to have a will written up with the directives on who takes custody of any child so they don't end up with foster families, even when there is a godparent willing and able to take the child or a last remaining family member. Definitely one worth reading.
**Honest review voluntarily provided from a Complimentary Copy**
It is a story that is almost beautiful because of the writing style and use of words. A story with a lot of passion, chemistry and feelings. It is very captivating. The characters are very likeable and well described. They develop nicely. The story is very predictable but enjoyable.
I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That makes the story even more emotional and captivating.
About doing anything for your friends. Avery wants to take care of her best friends child but she needs to be married to adopt the child. Will Jake marry her to help her? Can they make it? Do they stick to the arrangement? The twists and turns are so unexpected that they made it worth the read.
What a fantastic read by one of my favourite authors Tia Siren, I’m not going to give any spoilers because this book is that good and if I write anything about this story I will start crying again so read Tia’s blurb and that will give you the gist to this story. This story was so heartfelt and made me angry too, Jake was such an a$$ he cared more about his money more than anyone else but I’m glad to see that he grew a brain and finally woke up. Now I loved Avery even though she had a hard life it didn’t stop her from taking on her best friends daughter and that’s courage in my books. This is a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I know that I will be reading this book again so I’ve put it on my to read again shelf. Fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Wow, what a great story. Avery just found out her best friend died leaving her daughter, Iris to her. Jake was shocked when he learned of his sisters death and that she had a daughter her didn't know about. Jake and Avery have history together and Jake was surprised that after seeing her again he still had feelings for her. Avery learns her friend didn't leave a will so social services has stepped in and the social worker doesn't like either one of them. Jake proposes a plan for them to get married to help with Iris's custody case. WIll they get to keep Iris and will they be able to keep their feelings unattached. This is a well written story with great characters. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I received this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review.
Tia's done & done it again with this fantastic emotional story. I was crying from the onset, such an emotional start. But this is where we meet the determined feisty Avery who's set to honour her best mate Tracy's wishes. But then we have Tracy's arrogant multi billionaire brother Jake who hasn't spoken to her in a few months or seen her for a good few years. Though Jake does feel slightly guilty from how he went about things the last time he saw Avery, whilst she hates him for this exact reasons. There's so much emotion on different levels from these 2 but they do BOTH want the same ending... You will as well & your initial opinion might change whilst you're seeing the passion they BOTH have.

I was privileged to receive this book as an advanced copy & am choosing to review it voluntarily and this is my honest review.. I have only just started reading Tia's books and I can honestly say wow what amazing books! Fake it Baby has such captivating characters, the chemistry between Jake and Avery is instantaneous and sizzling hot. When you connect to a book, a person. Feel them so deeply. An absolutely a well written romance story with many twist and turns!and felt very real to me Honestly, I can’t think of a thing I didn’t like about this book.grab your copy today it really is a fantastic read.
I received this book as a arc for a honest review. Fake it baby has a lot of good points of how some people my see how their life's can change in just one short day. Avery found out that life was not going the way she wanted it to and to throw a monkey in the way her old crush Jake has just come back into her life. Jake has put his feelings behind him when something gets to hard for him he will put them behind him ,but when Avery enters his life again all those feeling come back. I can say this book will have you wanting to pull for this couple and the problems they go through even if they started out as fake it .
So good - Tia Siren did it! This is not the ordinary love story with some hot scenes. It is so much more. The story around it all - when Jake and Avery both want custody of the little girl Iris when her mother dies in a car crash - is something special. Jake is the brother and Avery is the best friend as well as the godmother. The interaction between them and the history they have is a good base for this story. I couldn’t let it go. Had to read every spare minute.
Jake, Tracy’s brother took Avery’s virginity and left. Avery is Tracy’s best friend and the godmother of her daughter. When Tracy is killed in a car accident they both want to take Iris in but neither look good to the case worker and she may end up in foster care. They decide a fake marriage will be just the thing to make them look like the happy family to the social worker but will they get more then they bargained for? This is a great second chance romance. I liked the characters as well as the story. Plenty of drama, emotion and steam. I was hooked from beginning to end.
This is one second chance romance that is heartwarming, frustrating, sweet, and full of chemistry. I loves that the baby and keeping it out of foster care becomes the most important element. Ms. Siren does a fantastic job of pulling the reader in right from the start and keeping them glues to the storyline till the very end. I couldn't wait to finish it and then when I did I wished there was more. The characters are dynamic and as I said the storyline is mesmerizing this is definitely one you don't want to miss.
I think Fake It Baby is my new favorite by Tia Siren! This story is most definitely a rollercoaster ride in the best ways possible. It made me feel all the emotions. The story and characters were all well developed. A terrible loss brings Avery and Jake back together together for a journey that neither expected they would have to take. I definitely recommend you one-click or borrow Fake It Baby with KU now. There's NO cliffhangers and NO cheating. And definitely a HEA! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
So I’ll admit, it took me a bit longer to complete this book. Mostly for personal reasons. This book has a lot of emotions flowing through. Highs and lows that forces your heart to hang on for the roller coaster. Avery is a fiery character. I adore how she wears her heart on her sleeve and that she takes pride in her resting bitch face! Jake was a little too arrogant for me. I feel like he didn’t completely learn from his mistakes. Overall a good book. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
