The last thing Dr. Tegan Strong ever imagined was having to run for her life. As a gifted virologist, she thought she’d be enjoying recognition for her incredible medical breakthrough. Instead, the leader of a clandestine government agency wants her dead and she has to disappear. Tegan assumes a new identity and finds sanctuary aboard a charter sailing yacht. Just when it looks like she’s escaped her past and can enjoy life again, she makes an amazing discovery off of Great Guana Cay. Thirty feet below the surface and covered with strange symbols lies a marker of unknown origin.

The artifact isn’t kept secret for long. Before Tegan and her friends can unravel the mystery, she is once again forced to hide. This time it’s not only the covert agency hunting her. The President of the United States also wants control of the marker, and his interest in it is far more sinister than anyone would ever believe. Time is running out. Tegan and her friends must decipher the meaning of the symbols before it’s too late. The fate of humanity is at stake.

Good solid story

An enjoyable read with good characters and action. The work doesn't really stand on its own however since there is no real ending; but instead merely sets up what is to follow in later books.Tried

Arklight Revelations kicks off the Ancient Alien Adventure series with a thrilling mix of science, mystery, and high-stakes suspense. From the very first chapter, Dr. Tegan Strong’s story pulls you in—what starts as a groundbreaking scientific discovery quickly turns into a fight for survival against secret agencies, global powers, and an artifact that could decide humanity’s future.

Holley balances action and intrigue perfectly. The pacing is tight, the underwater discovery scenes are vivid, and the conspiracy elements feel both imaginative and chillingly possible. I loved how Tegan isn’t just a scientist in the background she’s a strong, resilient character who carries the narrative with intelligence and determination.

The blend of ancient alien mystery, government secrecy, and edge-of-your-seat adventure makes this book hard to put down. If you enjoy Michael Crichton-style science thrillers or shows like Ancient Aliens with a fast-paced adventure twist, this is absolutely for you.

A fantastic start to the series, I’ll definitely be picking up the next installment.

The Antediluvian’s are coming! Two of their ships crashed back in the 1940’s, then President Truman set up a covert organization, Dark Moon to investigate and reverse-engineer any non terrestrial intelligent beings technology and exploit that technology. Also to police the skies, keeping the world safe.

Enter The Awakened, those humans that have had their DNA enhanced by the Antediluvians. If they are successful, humanity would relinquish all freedoms to an alien invader. Thus begins the fight to save the world. I really enjoy reading stories about our ancient Wonders and how certain things point to non terrestrial beings having a hand in the building or helping humanity to build these remarkable structures! This is book one of a trilogy in which the author gives us great characters, action and suspense! I’m looking forward to reading the next two in this series.

Epic! Great characters, beautiful islands, aliens and secret government organisations

This isn't my usual type of book. I nearly gave up at the first chapter because I'm not a political thriller type of person - this is so much more! The further I got through the book, the more both the extraterrestrial stuff and the cast of characters developed. The first third of the book sets a good background for the next two-thirds which were more the type of book I'd usually read.

In my opinion, the violence was low-key and appropriate for the plot, no random sex stuff, language was fine. There's some deaths but they're fitting for the plot. I really liked the way the plot turned towards the end. It was a satisfying ending but I'll be looking out for the sequel as the series shows a lot of promise.

I don't normally like a book that is this other worldly but this one caught me up in the story and I just had to finish it! A very entertaining and informative book, I love stories about the ancient ones and this one combined those and the stars!

Kept my interest keen.

Everything and everyone seems so real. No boring parts. I also enjoyed being introduced to the Bahamian islands. I wish I could get the second book.

The Arklight series interested me because of three elements that I love in Sci-fi: tie-ins to actual Earth history, ancient alien visitors, and a good mystery/discovery plot. Book one, Arklight Revelations ticked all those boxes and I enjoyed the way the author took his time developing the characters and the plot. I also enjoyed the way that my impressions of the characters changed through the story as it progressed. The conversations of the characters as they attempt to solve the mysteries before them comes off as very convincing. Even though at times the reader is clued in that the characters are assuming things incorrectly, the assumptions they make would be understandable without the extra knowledge the reader has been given by also seeing the POV of the antagonists.

I went into this book knowing it was the first of three in a series so I knew there would be some plot lines that would not fully complete in this first volume. This first book does complete some plot arcs and twists in interesting ways that work well with the story. The mysteries it does uncover in the first book were satisfying, and the remaining mysteries that are left for the next books have me excited to get into book two immediately. Note that the actual "alien" portions are not as prevalent in this first book (as it starts on Earth with a lot of unknown mysteries to solve), so don't expect an immediate jump into an alien world like some space-military books do. This is a mystery and revealing that takes time. Savor it and enjoy it.

The characters in the book are fun to follow, and are very well defined. The elements of tension and action, as well as the more contemplative scenes, bring the characters to life. I was very happy to see that the "bad guys" are not just "bad" for the sake of being the antagonists, but have reasonable reasons for their motivations.

There were a few writing related things which I think could have been done better here and there such as POV switches in a few places, and some of the quote attributions could have been eliminated here and there (because the characters were so well defined it was easy to tell who was speaking even if they had not been attributed) but these elements did not distract me from the exciting story being told.

I am jumping into book number two now, but even just one book in, I recommend this series if you like a good scifi discovery/mystery. I would compare this story to the enjoyment I got out of reading "The Origin Mystery series" (The Atlantis Gene, The Atlantis Plague, and The Atlantis World) by A.G. Riddle -- also a great series!

"Arklight Revelations" by G.B. Holley is a thrilling blend of science fiction and adventure. The story follows Dr. Tegan Strong, a virologist forced to flee from a shadowy government agency after making a groundbreaking discovery. Her escape leads her to an ancient artifact hidden in the Bahamas, a marker with mysterious symbols that could determine humanity's fate.

Holley masterfully combines fast-paced action with deep-sea exploration, keeping readers on the edge of their seats. The narrative's tension escalates as Tegan, alongside her allies, deciphers the artifact's secrets while evading relentless pursuers, including the President of the United States with sinister intentions.

The book’s compelling plot and well-developed characters make for an engaging read. Fans of conspiracy theories, ancient mysteries, and high-stakes drama will find "Arklight Revelations" an exhilarating start to what promises to be an intriguing series.

The author weaves a story that blurs the lines between fantasy and reality. This book is hard to put down with a narrative that is both soothing to read and haunting in it's depiction of plausible events. I really enjoyed the way the author mixed both sci-fi and non-fiction to create a sense of authenticity to what I was reading.

Dr Tegan Strong is a virologist who has been working on a secret project which she sees as benefiting all of mankind. The clandestine government agency she has been working for have more sinister uses for her work however and when Dr Strong is seen as being a threat to their intentions, she is marked for death. Tegan flees for her life and after making a last visit to her family, decides to disappear.
Tegan assumes a new identity and finds a job as a crew member on a charter sailing yacht, operating in the Bahamas. Then one day, she discovers whilst diving off the Great Guana Cay, a marker made of an unknown material, which is covered with strange symbols, the like of which have never been seen before. Tegan and her friends try to keep the discovery secret whilst they attempt to unravel the mystery of its origin and why it has been placed 30 feet below the surface. The secret is soon revealed however and once more Tegan has to go into hiding, when agents of her former employer start hunting her again.
I won’t give any more of the plot away as I don’t want to spoil the book for other readers. I will say though, that this the first book in a trilogy kept me enthralled and engrossed to the last page and I look forward to reading the other two books. I can highly recommend this book to all readers of well written Sci-fi and others who enjoy a good action adventure.
I read the book on Kindle Unlimited, but it is also for sale in other formats.
