C E Forester is an amazing story teller. His fictional Hornblower is a study of an incredible man as he grows through the trappings of the British navy. He puts you on board the ships before, during and after the Napoleonic wars. Action, desperate moves to stay alive and afloat in ships of the line in storms and bloody battles.
60 hours of un put down able reading. I just wished there was 60 more hours.
The unfinished novel at the end was just beginning when Forester died. Such a shame it could not be finished.
It does not get any better for this avid reader.

Entertaining all the way through. The exciting life of Horatio Hornblower had me turning the page as quickly as possible. It was fun running the high seas fighting the good fight for good ole jolly England.
