Really accessible and enjoyable to read. Having done the course quite a while back, it was an excellent refresher for me on what pilates is all about. Sometimes, I think instructors take it all way too seriously and it becomes a chore for the class. I sometimes feel guilty for having fun! But I think it can and should be fun to learn about your body and to test out your strength and flexibility. Highly recommend this book to beginners through to advanced practitioners of pilates
I bought this book back in 2014 and haven't really used it. Its so interesting reading about Pilates and how it can actually align and give strength to the body. I am ready to start doing Pilates! The excercises are explained in a simple manner with the aid of pictures.
This was just what I needed. The beginning was all about the history of Pilates. And the rest was a detailed step by step explanation of the moves with pictures. I loved that Brooke included workout series for every level.
