Architecture is not just creating buildings and shelters. ARCHI+ aims to transform the mundaneness to the intangible – artists and scientists at the same time, trying to solve problems using space, order, light, shadow, and aesthetics. The buildings nonetheless, reflect the society, economics, and ultimately serve the people. Architecture is a lengthy process. The glamorous picturesque images that one sees in fabulously curated monographs and magazines are simply end products from prolonged struggles often spanning three to six years, sometimes over decades of hard work. The images documented in this little book have been collected and curated over the past twenty years with a goal of denoting the aesthetics of the unfinished, to challenge the norm of architectural documentary, and to celebrate the relentless dedication of the project team and construction practitioners on site. The result is a demonstration of shear collaboration amongst clients, engineers, contractors, and the talented individuals in the ARCHI+ office.
