I loved this story in the bad boy anthology and was happy that is was extended to a full length novel. This has been rewritten with lots of new content in case you’ve previously read it.

Ryker and his brother Marcus can only focus on one thing, revenge against Jacob Waters for killing there father. And they have the perfect way to do that, kidnap his wife Sarah little did they know she’s nothing like the monster she married and it gets very intense when Ryker realizes he was wrong about her.

Lauren Landish yet again brings to life an amazing story. Ryker and his brother Marcus are looking for revenge for their father's death so they decide that taking everything from Jacob Waters is how to do it. What they don't know is that he not just a monster to outsiders but also to those close to him especially his wife Sarah. Sarah never dreamed that the guy she married would change from the loving and charming man into the abusive monster she has now but it did as soon as the ring slid onto her finger everything changed. When Ryker and Marcus kidnap her she was attempting to get away from Jacob again but fate had other plans. After a struggle Ryker sees the scars marring Sarah's body and knows that he and his brother are wrong about her. Ryker and Sarah can fight their attraction for so long before they give in even knowing that Jacob would kill either of them if he found out what they had done. Jacob will do anything to have her back so he agrees to their terms all the while working behind the scenes to undermine Ryker and Marcus. Taking Sarah was just one domino in a line of dominoes push one and every piece will fall and this is what happens to Jacob. However taking Jacob out isn't the end of the danger for them a hidden one appears and they have to face it.

This was a great story with amazing characters. Once I started I didn't want it to be over. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.

Lauren Landish has done it again a story that was originally a novella in in the Bad Boys Collection. She has edited extended and written new material and is a full-length novel.
Jacob Waters is a mob boss who holds the city captive with his violence. He´s abusive and nasty but he’ll end up paying the ultimate price – his wife Sarah is kidnapped.
Ryker John hates Jacob hates him for killing d his father and devices a way to make him pay. 1st he will kidnap/take his wife then his life. But things do not go to plan when Jacob comes to realize that Sarah is truly the victim in this whole mess—that Jacob has been abusing her behind closed doors and she shouldn’t have been taken to make pay, Jacob himself should pay for all he has done. Besides the sexual tension and heat between Jacob and Sarah is extremely hot and steamy. There is suspense, action and also two broken people who are trying to find a place where they belong and they come to realize, its with one another. I loved how they end up together and their romance was on point and exciting. I also enjoyed the secondary characters-Marcus and Kendra. I hope to read their story soon. I really felt like they have a story that is bursting to be told and soon. This was one awesome romance read!!

This is a book about bad men doing bad things, and the woman caught in the middle. No one is completely innocent and blood will be shed. There's action and suspense, love and heat. I like seeing people find their happily ever after in the hardest places to look. Everyone deserves someone to love them. I also loved seeing Sarah get stronger throughout.

Ugh... Where to even start with this. I won't even go into cuz it was just so bad. Oh & can we please stop writing about slutty lead females that have unprotected sex with random men?!!! Nothing screams sexy like an STD! GROSS! I'm sick of reading about voodoo pussy. Where the sex is just so fantastic that people lose their ability to use their brains & common sense. These 2 characters don't know each other yet he's willing to go to war, then give everything up just to be with her?! Sheezus! No! Stop it!

Lauren Landish does it again! This twisted, intricate plotted storyline that showcased a stellar combo of darkness and light in the mob world was more than I had envisioned when I dug into this fast-paced, sexy read!
Ryker and his brother Marcus are looking to avenge their father's death, a senseless killing at the hands of the ruthless "king" Jacob Waters, all because of the way their father had talked to Jacob's wife Sarah at a party.
Sarah, once an actress, but now the arm candy, and might be an accomplice of Jacob's is the largest part of the plan Ryker and Marcus have been formulating, kidnap his prize possession, let him suffer before moving on to the next phase.
Kidnapping Sarah proves, to be more interesting than they brothers had bargained for.
Now the revenge against Jacob Waters just became even more intense.
Ryker will not stop until he is the new " king" of the city

So much testosterone alphaness! I liked it! ( ha! )
Likeable, down to earth characters, with emotional ups and downs, even some humor is thrown in amongst violence, dark scenes, as well as those passionate times.

Sarah is an ex teen actress who met Ryker years ago. They had a connection, but it didn't last. She soon met Jacob. Sarah's life is much different than she had imagined it would be. People believe her to be as evil as Jacob. Boy are they wrong; if they only knew. Sarah regrets the day she met Jacob. What she thought would be a life of joy and happiness, turned quickly into one of pain and misery.
Ryker and his brother run the streets. They are the deciding factor in what happens and what doesn't in their city. It wasn't always this way, Ryker inherited the position from his father after his untimely death at the hands of Jacob Waters. Ryker now wants revenge. His first move is to kidnap Jacob's wife.
When I heard Lauren wrote an extended version of this book, originally featured in the Begging For Bad Boys Bundle, I could not wait to read it !

Dirty Debt was originally published as a novella in the Bad Boys Collection, and is now new written, edited and extended and is a full-length novel.

Jacob Waters is a mob boss who reigns over the whole city. He´s an abusive man and will pay the prize. But before he gets taken down, his prized possession will be taken away.

Ryker John loathes Waters. He killed his father and Ryker has sworn revenge.
He has aplan, a perfect plan. First he´ll take his wife and then his life. But what happens when revenge is dealt with.
There are broken people, survivor who need a lot of healing.

Yes, the book has dark themes, yes there is violence, a lot. But there´s also sweet love , healing and a beautiful well deserved HEA.
I read this book in one sitting. I was hooked from page one. I had to know what happens to the characters.

Great action packed suspense read with lots of heartstopping thrills to keep you on the edge of your seat. Sarah was living a life of lies. On the outside, she had a great rich husband and wanted for nothing. However behind closed doors, she has suffered years of mental and physical abuse. At the funeral of one of her husband Jacob's associates, Sarah is kidnapped and taken as a hostage to get to her husband.

Here things heat up as the action and suspense kick up a level when Ryker and his brother Marcus appear looking for revenge against Jacob. Ryker realises that Sarah is an innocent party and he must now decide if what he is feeling for her could work after he gets his revenge. I loved the fast pace intensity and the strong sexual chemistry between Ryker and Sarah. I recieved an ARC and this is my honest review.

While I absolutely loved this book, it has more of a dark theme to it and touched on some sensitive topics including abuse of many varieties and violence. So if that's a trigger this may not be for you, even though it has a very happy ending. The point of me saying that is that while I enjoyed this, I do tend to like the more rom-com books this author writes. But the chemistry between Ryker and Sarah is off the charts and hooks you. The strength that Sarah has is amazing and for that I fell in love with her character. Another great read by one of my favorite authors!!

Sarah used to be an actress and is now married to a violent and sadistic human being, who just wants her on his arm to distract from his crimes. Ryker and his brother Marcus come up with a plan to kidnap Sarah, not realizing that they are in fact rescuing her, therefore, things do not go as planned. No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed!
This is a powerful, gritty, and heartbreaking tale about revenge and love. Once again Lauren has written an excellent story which had me hooked and captivated throughout. I highly recommend this authors work for all readers.

There is Sarah who was a child actor. She was convinced to marry a monster and now doesn't know how to get out of it. Then there is Ryker, who is a mobster and wants to kill her husband since he killed Ryker's father. Are things the way they appear though? Ryker kidnaps Sarah to go after her husband. Will it work? How will it end. This book gets you from the start and keeps you reading to figure out what will happen. Good character development. Complex strong characters that are also rather vulnerable.

Ryker and Marcus Johns waited 5 years since Jacob Waters killed their father to finally be able to put together a plan to rid the city of Jacob and his evil cohorts. The first part of their plan is to steal his 'queen', the beautiful former teen star, Sarah. They think Sarah is just as evil as her husband, but oh how mistaken they are.

Sarah found out on the night she married what a monster Jacob was. He badly abused her physically and mentally, until she is ready to take her own life. An opportunity presents itself during the funeral of one of Jacob's men. She runs, truly no caring if she escapes or dies trying. Ryker gives chase. She does not know who is chasing her, but suspects it to be one of Jacobs's men. Ryker is just another mobster to her, someone to get away from as soon as possible. When they tussle in Ryker's penthouse, the back of her dress tears exposing the scars over her back and side. This changes everything. Ryker and Marcus now know that they can never giver her back, but must keep and protect her.

This is just the first step of many to take away everything from Jacob before killing him. The action speeds up as one step after another is successfully executed by the Johns brothers and their street gang. Their gang is loyal to a man/woman and does not rely on threats and painful examples or death to hold power as Jacob does. Sarah is suffering from PTSD. Jacob proudly showed her how he killed his 'missing' second wife, just one of the many cruelties he inflicted upon her.

The action starts to move faster and faster as the brothers dismantle Jacob's empire taking all for themselves. It's an exciting story filled with strong characters, male and female. Even Sarah begins to gain emotional strength and the heat between Ryker and Sarah is intense.

I normally never read books about murders, thrillers, scary stuff, but once I started this story, I could not stop. I received this book as an ARC, but the opinions are definitely all mine. Fantastic story from one of my key authors. I read everything she writes, even stories like this one! I rated it a well-deserved '5'. This is one to keep on the shelves or make a permanent part of your e collection.

Loved every every page of this book by Lauren Landish about a leader of gang, Ryker and his teenage fantasy, Sarah, who is now married to the most powerful and cruel man in the city, Jacob. When he plans out his revenge by taking down Jacob his first course of action is to take his wife, to barter him with. What he doesn't plan on is his feelings and falling for the beautiful woman now that he has her. Sarah has lived the last few years of her life in fear and wants to get away from her husband so when she gets kidnapped, it's her way out.
What a story with some dark themes, lust/love, steamy hot scenes and what one person will give up for the love of their life. Ryker and Sarah were perfect for each other, and I myself would want a Ryker in my life. He may be tough, dangerous, a murderer but he also respects women and Sarah brings out a side of him that is only for her. Sarah is a survivor, picking up the pieces of her life but with help from her kidnapper who shows her love isn't always cruel.
A story that was a bit different from other mob/gang reads I have read where there is so much drama on the outside as well as between the couple featured it sometimes becomes redundant. Lauren Landish wrote a story where yes there is bloodshed, yes there is abuse, yes there is drama but it's from outside sources that keeps the suspense going but between the two it's a story of how one woman overcomes her years of abuse, learning to trust, to grow, to love and make a difference in not only her life but in others. Ryker....there is nothing I can say that can express how much I LOVED this character, he didn't turn his back on Sarah, didn't run when it got tough, stayed by her side through everything, was patient and loving, gave her everything including himself....WOW...a true bad boy/gangster/mob/king romance that I kept me on my toes waiting for the shoe to drop and become predictable...didn't happen and that's why I believe it's worth more than 5 starts...thank you Lauren Landish for making this a perfect, amazing, truly unique read in its own way and memorable !!

Ryker Johns is set on vengeance. Along with his brother, Marcus, they’ve worked the last five years to control the city’s criminal underbelly to rise to the top. And it’s time to take the city’s hold away from Jacob Waters, the monster who took their father in a needless killing. An eye for an eye, they take Sarah as the first offense to ruining Jacob’s empire. When Ryker understands that Sarah is the innocent in all of this and what she’s endured, his protective instincts kick in. Ryker remembers the kindness Sarah had once shown him while working as security on one of her shoots in earlier days. Though Sarah is wary at first of Ryker, she is unable to resist the compassion he shows her. The attraction can’t be denied, and there’s sizzle in the chemistry. Finally, Sarah sees what love should look like with Ryker.

Dirty Debt is fast paced, suspenseful, with heart pounding action. It’s a romance rich in description in a backdrop of the underbelly of criminal activity. Ms. Landish does a great job.

Sarah and Ryker make for a match made in HEA heaven. Sarah’s life is an farcical illusion that hides from the world the pain and injustice she suffers daily at the hands of her husband. She naively was mislead by his charms and now she is trapped with this sadistic monster with no hopes of escape. He owes this town and her - so her fate is set in stone. Ryker wants nothing more in life than to exact revenge on Jacob Waters for the murder of his father and to destroy his empire and take it for his own. He has spent years working towards building a base to get to a point where he could come at the this “King” and now is his time to strike. The plan is to grab his trophy wife, dismantle his power base, and then come after the man himself. Simple enough - until it turns out Sarah was nothing but an innocent victim under Jacobs thumb all along and quite frankly wants him dead even more than Ryker. Sarah’s strength and beauty captivates Ryker and he soon realizes that he will do anything to make her safe and free. She has been a prisoner of this life for so long and he has worked for years to become its new King - can Ryker make the right call for love?

I loved this book in the Begging For Bad boys Box Set and I loved reading it again now with the extra chapters.

Ryker was gunning to be top dog. Him and his brother, Marcus have worked hard to get where they are, but now he's out to seek revenge on the man who killed his father, Jacob Waters. He's going to take out Waters and take over the city. He plans on taking him down by killing off Jacob's strongest men so he's left feeling the fear he's put into everyone else for the last 2 decades.
Sarah is an old teen sensation and is married to Jacob. But Jacob is a mean shit to her and repeatedly beats her. And she just can't seem to find a way to get away from him, until Ryker kidnaps her.

I loved the chemistry be these two, especially considering what Sarah has gone through. I loved the extra chapters with Marcus slowly taking over as King, along with Ryker's help.

This book again kept me in the edge of my seat, even though I'd already read it. I loved the gritty storyline. I loved how Ryker never forgot his roots even with being powerful. I loved how Sarah was able to finally blossom into the woman she a was always meant to be.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! I really loved this updated and extended version of Ryker and Sarah's story. I was fortunate to read the original version in Begging For Bad Boys and was so excited to read this new version. I absolutely loved it. Ryker and Sarah are so great. Ryker along with his brother Marcus want to avenge there father's death and come up with the idea of taking from Jacob, the man who man behind their father's death. The decide to kidnap Sarah, Jacob's wife. Thinking she must be same as Jacob; therefore she is at fault as well in some way. Little do they know Sarah has been living in her own personal well since the day she became Jacobs wife. She is determined get away from Jacob. Once Ryker finds out Sarah is not what he thought and is a victim as well he and his brother come up with a plan to protect her. This was such a action packed read as well as a great hot and steamy read and definitely a bit of suspense. I really enjoyed this wonderful read by Ms Landish!

This is absolutely a great story about revenge and doing the unthinkable for the one you love. Lauren has written this darker then normal book and I loved it! Sarah's life has not gone they way she thought it would have and once she married Jacob who is a fearered and abusive man does she wish for something different. Ryker is out for revenge as Jacob has taken the life of his father. So he takes his wife and they know one another from their past when she was into acting. If someone's going to take you, you want it to be Ryker. He is one hot alpha man on a mission. While he has Sarah will he take the chance given to him and walk away from a life of crime for her? This is a story you will not be able to put down and become a part of the characters and their story. I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntarily review.
