Geronimo Stilton’s nephew is having trouble with history on ancient Rome so Geronimo Stilton takes Benjamin (Geronimo Stilton’s nephew) to Rome on a nonstop flight with unlimited pizza! When they get to the airport and off the plane he met a girl who asked him to goin a secret squad. And he said “ok”and the girl gave him a suitcase with a ordinary looking umbrella. The suitcase had:a tourist guide to Rome, night vision goggles a small metallic box super-sticky glue a clothespin a recipe a miniature and a gladiator costume. To get inside Geronimo Stilton put on his gladiator costume and got in the sewer (so that was what the clothespin was for!)and then a ghost gladiator cut off some of Geronimo’s whiskers! Then Geronimo smashed himself into the gladiator ghost the ghost gladiator was actually a robot! Then he found a famouse mouse making more gladiators!”Now it all makes sense!”Geronimo said.
This is the first time I read a Geronimo Stilton book.It is a great character, say a cross between Mickey mouse and Tintin created by Italian author Elisabetta Dami. The story is enjoyable and a lesson of history is also learnt whilst reading. This is a character that needs to be more popular among the target readers i.e. children.
I think this is a really good book as the plot was really exciting, Geronimo”s adventure was thrilling, I could feel the thrill even by reading the book in my room. Geronimo set off and went on an adventure with his friends. The went to the colosseum and wanted to explore, with all the rumors they have heard about the colosseum, they decided to find out what is behind this colosseum, and it was a huge mystery all the way through. Geronimo was a smart mouse and he tries his best to find out the secret, he uses different ways to solve his problems. His perseverance teaches us not to give up, even if we are in a dreadful situation, we always should try our best to overcome our difficulties. Indeed Geronimo found out the mystery of the colosseum at the end. The ending proves that hard work is never wasted. This book is marvelous as it allows me to learn new knowledge and also teaches me how to be a better person. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to solves mystery and would like to learn from Geronimo”s ways. This book really deserves a 5-star, come and read it and you will know it.
Geronimo Stilton sta accompagnando suo nipote a Roma per fargli imparare la storia antica, ma non sa che lo aspetta un compito importantissimo: capire chi è il fantasma che impedisce ai turisti di visitare il Colosseo...
Divertente! Preso su Prime Reading.

A very short but marvelous book. I like Geronimo very much because of the fact that he always does his best to save his friends and cousins and he is very brave sometimes. I have read a few books by the same author before and I loved the way he explains the storyline with meanings and words that I am new to. This is a great book.
Ancient Rome and ghosts. Two of my favorite subjects! Rereading all of these books have given me a lot of insight into where my love of history came from. I know where it started, but this series most definitely furthered my obsession.
GI think this book is cool Because of the Gold and Black cover Haha I am joking even thought that is cool I love reading the book because it is full of information about the colosseum and how germino Takes Bengiman his younger cousin to the Colosseum so he could get a good grade on his test.

I really loved this very funny book. It was very informative too and gave me a love peep in Italy. To be honest, I loved the mini story too. My favourite character in this series is Geronimo himself as he is very funny.
The first story was an adventurous one because Geronimo & his nephew Benjamin kept travelling back & forth from Rodent's Gazette to Rome. The second story was more interesting because there was curiousity around how Geronimo's cousins proved him innocent.
