Do you need to slow down because life is going just too fast? Or perhaps you need a speed boost? Joshua Edwards offers some encouragement and spiritual guidance in Grace Pace. This Christian-centered self help guide is written with almost poetic description and offers a lot of great life tips mixed with Biblical wisdom. I enjoyed Edwards’ insights and writing and would recommend Grace Pace to anyone looking for a little encouragement!

You can’t outpace God

What a great book at just the right time. My favorite quote from the book was at the end of chapter 6, “God will run with you, but not for you. He will not force you to carry on. If you want to give up to avoid the discomfort, He will let you. But you will miss out on all the benefit that His calling has in store for you.” So many times, we take off on a sprint. We get to where we think we’re going, and we feel lost. Fear and doubt creeps in, and we give up. As I have stepped out in faith, I have experienced this first hand. God brought this message to me at just the right time by reminding me to be patient and to keep pace with God. I can’t outpace Him and continually pray that He sets the pace for me.

Grace Pace is more than a book. It is a movement - a way of living life. It started out as a topic of discussion in our young adults group, Cultivate YA. Over the course of 4 weeks we learned that the key to becoming the people God has called us to be and accomplishing all He has in store only comes about as we get in step with His leading. For years I battled with fear of stepping out into what I felt God call me to. I experienced countless failures as a result of personal weakness, and burnout from trying to work harder to BE better had me overcome with fatigue. In the pages of this book you will discover the way God intervened in my story, opened my eyes to the working of His grace, and set me on a new course. God’s grace is for you as well. It is all around you and if you are looking for freedom from the frustration of fear, failure, and fatigue, it is as simple as this: God does not respond to what we do. We respond to what He is doing. I want to invite you to join us on this journey as we learn together to walk in the pace of God’s grace.
