Tori has no other option but to run. She's disappointed the Council, attacked and killed an Elder and now Vlad, her abysmal father, is determined to find her.
When secrets of the past reveal themselves, she finds herself at a crossroad.
Unsure of which way to go, she must trust in other supernaturals to help guide her—something she has never allowed before.
Forced to go against other Hunter vampires, she is backed into a corner where her only way out is to fight, or die trying.
Book 3 Coveted
When Evan is obviously been kidnapped by the Council, Tori will stop at nothing to get him back.
At the same time, she's disappointed to learn Malcolm, her old hunting partner, is hot on her trail. Malcolm knows her very well as they worked together for countless decades. He knows her every move and her every hiding spot.
She seeks Finns help. Finn has been alive for centuries and has somehow managed to stay completely off the Council's radar by living off the grid. She's confident he can keep her, Eddie, and Trent safe while they come up with a way to get to Evan.
Vlad wants her - dead or alive, it seems to no longer matter. Tori will do whatever is needed to keep Evan safe, even if it means coming up against her father and hunting him.
Book 4 Twisted
Tori's mortal enemy, Vlad Montour, just happens to be the most powerful vampire in the world--and her father. He's got the world's most lethal network of allies, along with a near impenetrable fortress. Trained by him to be a Hunter, she's killed other supernatural creatures for a living. Tori's world is turned upside when she finds herself now being the one hunted.
In the past, Tori's lived by the rule: if you love no one, you can't be hurt. Suddenly this rule can no longer hold up. She has a brother to protect, a werewolf she's in love with and is pregnant with his child. Life changes in the blink of an eye. She makes herself a new vow: take out anyone who would hurt the people she loves.

237 books1,186 followers Wanita May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario - St.Catharines. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had a vivid imagination and loads of energy.
The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.
At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.
But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.
Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.
Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).
After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.
Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.
She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.

Great vampire story
So I had originally read the first book in the box set about the daughters and loved each story. I'm slowly working on reading the others in the series. W.J. May takes you on one heck of an adventure with her telling of Victoria (Tori's) story. The twist that were not expected to happen make this one series you need to add to your collection of vampire books. I enjoy learned more about Eddie and how he learns about having some special people in his life beside Tori. As for Tori she learns more about her Vlad and that she also has a brother and two more sisters. She also learns about caring for someone else and that was something Vlad never wanted his most powerful daughter to do. They're some great twist in this story that kept me on the edge for wanting more. If you are wanting a new series to read give Daughter of Darkness by W.J. May a try once you get started with her work you'll become a fan right away I did.

This series is about female heroines who learn as adults they have siblings and the only way to survive their evil father is to join together and destroy him. Thank you W.J. May for creating and sharing these wonderful, interesting and page turning words.

This collection was Awesome. A hardy two thumbs up for the author May. The story lines wrtr supreme. The story captures from the first two lines and holds captive the reader until the end. A most glorious and "let me finish" collection
