How To Launch a Startup is a very practical playbook that helps - start your first startup and - prepare the company for fundraising.
The book is a short and easy to understand, yet a complex concept of what to do and what not to do when you want to launch your startup and find investors. Written by Milan Steskal, the founder of mental health tech startup with customers on three continents and two successful fundraising rounds.
What do other say? “A must-read for any startup founder thinking about fundraising” — Andrej Kiska, partner at Credo Ventures "This could easily be on the must-read list for first-time founders." — Andy Parsons, founder at Happify "The first edition of this book helped our startup raise 240,000€." — Jan Januska, founder of Spotibo
What is the book about? “How To Launch a An easy to understand 9-step guide to make your startup idea a real business” is not just another startup book. It is exactly about what the title suggests, your first step on the exciting journey to make your startup idea a real company with real customers that is ready to meet investors and raise its first seed round.
The book will help you answer questions, such - How to find out whether your idea really has a potential? - How to build your product? - How to find customers and sell to them? - How to find investors and get funded?
I wish I found a book like How To Launch a Startup when I started my first startup in 2011. There were many other great books that helped me, of course. I was, however, missing a bigger picture, a playbook that would guide me through the whole process and explain all the basics. My first startups failed miserably, but I managed to learn the lesson.
Well, I'm biased towards this book but I still think that it's a great read for the first time startup founders and entrepreneurs when they look to understand what's waiting for them on their journey and how to avoid the mistakes that many others (including me) make.
