Easton has been raised to respect and protect women. But he landed in jail when he broke the arm of a guy manhandling a woman. Turned out the woman didn't want protection but the guy filed a complaint. Fresh out of jail, Easton gets a job as a bouncer, at what turns out to be a new BDSM club. Never having visited Kink.com and not being the type of guy to read a book or look things up on the internet, he remains confused about what is going on and how shit works, but he sure needs a paying job. Tabitha is a sub that he met on opening night. She is very attracted to him, his good looks and his sincerity. Gradually Easton learns what she needs as a sub and he grows to enjoy providing that for her until he is ready to move in with her and find their HEA together. The story is told from Easton's perspective, which serves well to show his confusion about BDSM, but provides little detail on the character and background of Tabitha. I expected more trouble from Tabitha's ex, but the author finished up the story before the ex got around to violating his restraining order.
Disappointing. This book could’ve gone in so many directions but it fell completely flat. Both the main leads were completely underdeveloped. You’ve got an ex con and a submissive that was abused previously by her last dom and that was it. But it never delved deeper into that level of psyche. You also have a dom who had never been a dom and instead of exploring and detailing that it felt completely half assed. Then he didn’t want to completely delve, want, or understand his subs needs but he loves her? I mean I need to work with more than that. This book really sucked it just had so much opportunity not to mention such an abrupt ending. Wtf!?
An amazing book. Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
An interestingly tame dominant/submissive story. It was a definite twist from the standard gorgeous, strong, millionaire, control freak story. But Easton could have been a little more in to it.
Another good storyline, however still alot of grammical errors. A few spots they made it really hard to understand the flow. I want to emphasize the storyline is really good.
