An American Affair is hands down my favorite Philip Mitchell Stein story. It is erotica so, it is a hot naughty read. However, it's also just a good story told in a relatable way. The pace is fast, and the story is short. But in the end, it leaves you longing for more in the best possible way. So if you are looking for erotica that evokes some feelings and thoughts afterward, I highly recommend An American Affair.

A very quick sexy memoir. The writing doesn't waste your time with unnecessary details. The author focuses solely on his encounters with Sophie and the writing is so vivid that you feel like a voyeur watching the intimate moments as they happen. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer.

Somehow, this never got off the ground. Yes, there’s sex, a lot of it even, but something feels off. Only after the end did I understand why: apparently, this is “a very personal story” that the author “wanted to tell for a long time.” I think I just learned that I prefer erotica to be fiction.
